I've lived here since the building opened. The management is always responsive and friendly. My maintenance requests are worked on usually the next day. If they do not respond to a request, just follow-up like a normal sane person would do. People can forget or misinterpret requests, they're human. The staff always leaves notes when they enter or need to enter your apartment. Doors are double-bolted and the building is secured. This is midtown and one should expect a certain level of activity. I wouldn't live in this area if it weren't for this building. The lower parking garage is completely enclosed and you can request to move if there are open spaces, which there usually are. I used to park in the upper lot (also secured) but the windows allow the temperature to fluctuate. I asked to move and they gave me several spots to choose from in the lower garage. Neighbors are quiet. Everyone minds their own business. If it's after hours, the office number routes to a 24/7 on-call center that will send out maintenance if you have an emergency. The rent is very reasonable and lower than areas like downtown or the Plaza for similar quality apartments. They now allows dogs. I moved my family here and plan on upgrading myself to a larger floor plan. I would recommend this place to anyone (if I wanted to live near you).

By far one of the worst places I have ever lived. Save your money and go elsewhere. Put in a maintenance request when moved in and issue is still was not fixed when moving out. Management is rude and does not actually care about any of their residence. Also there is a hidden “service charge” to pay rent on top of monthly due, which is not disclosed when signing lease, of course! While living there, my whole hallway smelled like marijuana. Management did not do anything about this problem, nor seem to care. People always took my parking spot or parked in garage and blocked me from even getting to my spot. In addition, there is no emergency number to call if there is suspicious activity within the building. Overall horrible place to live and would never recommend anyone live there. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I have been living here at West 39th Street Apartments for 4 years. Mike is exceptional in his job, very friendly, hard worker. Maintenance always on top of it. Apartments are very modern. Amenities are nice, enclosed assigned private parking, secured building. The neighbors are very friendly and positive. Easy access to restaurants, and work. I wish I could give this higher than 5.
After recently moving to West 39th Street, I'm very happy with my decision to live here. The location is phenomenal and the building safety and security are top notch. But what sets West 39th Street apart from other property companies I met with is the management. Taryn and Michael are so professional and responsive to any questions I have. They go above and beyond what other properties will offer to make you feel at home. At the end of the day, apartments all have similar features - bedroom, bathroom, closets - but West 39th has the best management and staff. Although, I will say the closets here are pretty amazing and roomy :)
We have lived here for 3 years now. I would highly recommend this place to live. I love the secure building and garage parking. From Mike the manager down to the maintenance people they are just wonderful to work with . I have never waited on a maintenance problem. I have rented for over 10 years and could not say that about my other apartment places I have lived. This location is perfect to all areas from the Plaza to KU Med. The neighbors are great too. The apartment are state of the art. Can't say enough about this place.
West 39th is a wonderful building to live in. Management is great and very responsive to any inquiries and is always willing to go the extra mile for residents. Furthermore, I've never waited longer than 24 hours for a maintenance issue to be addressed. All of the staff here are very friendly and professional. The resident culture is very positive, with primarily young professionals, couples, and health professions students. The enclosed, locked garages provide a great sense of safety and security. The location is perfect for commuting to downtown, visiting the Plaza or Westport, and across-the-corner access to the KU Medical Center can't be beat for students and employees at KU. I have lived at West 39th for over a year, and it has been one of the best living experiences I could have hoped for. I am writing this review because I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone moving to the area and looking for one of the absolute best places to live.

I have lived here for a year now and love this place! I signed a new lease to move to the 4th floor and am very excited!! The amenities are great here and the most awesome thing is the underground parking! Parking is sparse in this area so this was a key factor for me moving here. The maintenance guys are awesome and very friendly when you see them in the halls or elevator. Keith the manager is excellent, always friendly and very accommodating. He kept me on the waiting list for the first available 4th floor apartment and I appreciate that so much! I am excited to move into my new home in the building and have a view of 39th St. 5 stars all the way!!!
Apartments are modern, and stylish. The manager Keith is exceptional. On call maintenance are great workers quick to respond and professional. Nice enclosed parking.
