With fantastic views of the Caloosahatchee River, Downtown Fort Myers is everything you love about Florida with an urban twist. As Lee County’s commercial hub, the downtown area is home to a variety of offices and government buildings. It is also home to Centennial Park, a riverside park that is home to the Downtown Farmers Market. As a hub for the arts, Downtown Fort Myers features the ArtFest Fort Meyers, the Fort Myers Film Festival, the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, and the Florida Repertory Theatre. Several of Florida’s favorite beaches are located just minutes from downtown, including Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, and Captiva Island.
When you rent in Downtown Fort Myers, you’ll be living where legendary magnates such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Harvey Firestone spent their vacations in the early 20th century.

Property Ratings at West End at City Walk
Horrible management. Extremely unsafe. Try anywhere else in the area.
Almost a year after construction completed and still lots of issues. Security gates not functioning. Management slow to react and quick to blame others. Some amenities off line with no potential for use (outdoor grills, tvs, fire pits). Interior cleaning is bad. With the proposed rent increases (up to 40%) set to hit upon lease end, I cannot say this is a luxury property worth the cost.
The building is nice and has potential for great amenities (when they're actually ever completed). However, the management is awful and will leave you hanging for MONTHS before anything is done, and that's only if you continue to pester them. The building may be new, but the management needs to get their act together and work on better communication with renters. I have only had good experiences with 1 person here, Brooke, everyone else gives you "it's your problem, not mine" vibes.
Don’t be fooled by all the 5-star fake reviews. This place is an absolute overpriced dump. It’s a shame because the units are gorgeous, but the community manager and owners make it unbearable. You have been warned about what a rat hole this place is & how negligent the new property management company and the community manager are. Renter beware. The truth always surfaces. No matter how shiny it looks from the street, this building is a rotten moneypit.
Save your money and do not move here. This place is actually a dog pound apartment complex. You will constantly here dogs bark day and night with neither the owners of the dogs or the property management caring. Next is the floors that have not been mopped let alone swept since Hawthorne property management took over. Not to mention that since Hawthorne property management took over they can’t even do a simple thing like changing the dog poop garbage stations. Instead this property management company waits until the dog poop bags completely overfill until changing the garbage bag. They do not care about their property or how dirty and disgusting it is. Hawthorne property management would rather build two statues in the front entrance than fix the residents issues and concerns. Speaking to other residents it is clear that everyone you speak to is completely dissatisfied by this poorly run incompetent property management group. They do not fix any issues whatsoever. Even a small detail or changing a lightbulb that has been out in the hallway since this place opened cannot be completed by this horrible complex. This is how you know this place is run by incompetent people. Hawthorne property management is by one of the worst property management companies. Please save your money and do not move here!
This is by far the worst apartment complexes in Fort Myers. It is also run by the most incompetent property management groups called Hawthorne. If you want to rent an apartment in a dog pound than you have found your place. You will constantly here the mutts bark day and night with management not caring. The management also do not care about cleaning. The floors are filthy and have not been cleaned since this complex was sold and Hawthorn took over the property management. Before Hawthorne took over the floors would be swept and also mopped once a week. Next is the security. Please look up the police reports and you will see multiple robberies and car break ins. Next is the sidewalks with glass being shattered everywhere. Another failure by the new property management and the new incompetent janitors. Before the janitors would clean up the sidewalks from the dumpsters and now there is glass and other garbage everywhere when the garbage people come. Next is the dog poop not being picked up by the dog owners or having the janitors pick it up. This is also a problem with the new property management janitors rarely changing the garbage bags from the dog poop station and having the dog poop bags empty for weeks, where with the old management and janitors would constantly be changed even if there was only two dog poop bags in the garbage. There are plenty of other things and the list goes on and on. In ending, if you want to live in a dog pound and here dogs bark day and night than this is the place for you. If you also want to have an incompetent property management group than this place is for you. Please do yourself a favor and stay far very far away from this place.
Moved in when they opened in July. The trash pile in the garage has not been removed even once and it’s nearly to the ceiling. Hallways are filthy and there are dog droppings EVERYWHERE. Not a single exterior door has ever been locked. They have the audacity to raise my rent at the end of my lease. NO WAY. Goodbye.
The apartment itself is nice, but in the two months since moving in we've been waiting on multiple service requests to be completed. The security system has not been activated, so the whole property is open to the public. The common areas are very dirty and all we hear are excuses as to why things are so poorly maintained. It's too bad, it could be a nice place to live, but the management treats residents like a bother at best and like criminals at worst. New management has been hired, but very limited progress has been made in the time they have been here. Too bad, we were very excited to live here, and now we're just frustrated and looking for alternatives.
I just moved to Florida and my apartment is so amazing! The gym and other amenities are still in the works but I can already tell I'm going to love living here.
