Property Ratings at West Oaks Landing
the apartment is roach infested!!!!!! They literally have a infestation and they do not care . Management is horrible . Maintenance Team is horrible they will come when they wanna come. they constantly send you emails about how rent is due but don’t ever take care there tenants. And if you don’t pay your rent on time they will lock you out . It’s so horrible. Especially the roaches part do not by a lot of food and if you do keep it in your refrigerator. The water is turned off. They upgrading but the apartment is self . Do not think about moving here it’s not it it’s literally a nightmare. I cannot wait to move.
If you enjoy roaches then this is the place for you. Honestly these apartments are disgusting. I’ve been dealing with roaches since the FIRST DAY I moved in. They tell you they’ll send an “exterminator” but the only thing the “exterminator” does is leave roach bombs that you can easily buy at Walmart. Mind you these bombs do absolutely nothing. My lease is almost up and I can’t wait to leave. From the roaches to the loud neighbors to the smell of weed seeping through the vents. The people in the front office are clueless and i honestly believe they don’t care because they don’t live here. The only reason I moved here was to save money. I understand it’s affordable in today’s economy, but please save yourself the stress of having to stay here for 13 months!
Trash everywhere. I took photos of the glass that has been on the ground for 3 weeks and told management about all my issues and she just looked at me and said "I just work here". Do not believe a single positive review. Management is rude and has no empathy. Trash is currently as I type this out in the middle of the street. Roaches in my apt and I've had it treated and started spraying mint oil spray which is a natural repellent doesn't help because all my counters have openings beneath them for the roaches to escape. I've put in work orders for all of this. And I've lived in apts for over 20years at different properties and this is the first one I've ever written a review. Do not move here. It's cheap but you can do better. And if you don't believe me and you come here look around and ask some residents. Check the laundromat area where most don't work. Trust me its bad.
From the start AC didn’t work I reported it around 4 and manager kept me with telling me someone would do something about it asap... I called multiple times because I was desperate for it to be fixed I have a baby and I couldn’t have him in this conditions. The manager was very rude telling me that she had told me someone would come already, after more than 5 hours later and no one showing up still. It comes to almost 10pm and no one was here but I couldn’t do anything about it because the manager was rude saying she had already told me someone was coming in the worst attitude.
I currently reside here and the only reason was because they were first available when I moved into west Houston. I cannot express to you how terrible the management crew is and how bad maintenance takes care of things. Roaches... constant issue simply because they do not exterminate as requested. Water leaks in bathtub from ceiling,... took 2 months for them to fix it and its still not completely stopped. The tub needs to be refinished now but im sure that is last on "THEIR" list.... A/C issues... stopped working out of nowhere and maintenance cant fix it. ******NO HOT WATER FOR 3 WEEKS!****** the leasing office would not notify anyone or update us that the boiler needed to be replaced which is our RIGHT AS TENANTS!!!! They didnt even offer accommodations to help families on site. This is got to be one of the worst places I have ever come into contact with. I have already contacted the property owners. Been waiting 2 weeks to hear from them as well. DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO DEAL WITH COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE TEAM, NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING MAINTENANCE, OR DONT MIND BEING PEOPLE WHO ARE RUDE AND DONT LISTEN.
No hot water for over a week! No answer from management except a plumber is coming to give us a price. The water problem has been going on for at least a year. No hot water then scalding hot water. It’s always a problem. Not to mention the crime that goes on here. A body was found and no one in the office knows anything about it. Mail boxes are broken into and they wouldn’t fix their part until the post master from the post office got involved. Oh and don’t need something repaired because you are on your own. Don’t take my word for it ask anyone that lives there. ANYONE
I was excited to find an affordable apartment halfway between Katy and downtown Houston. Being so close to George Bush Park seemed like a nice perk too. I was told my apartment was move in ready, so I eagerly started moving my stuff in. Upon receiving my golden key, I saw carpet had several urine stains causing the apartment to smell, I had a serious roach infestation, and my AC didn't work in July. They said my unit had been cleaned beforehand. Nonsense. My apartment was unlivable until my attorney called and demanded maintenance actually bring my apartment up to livable move in condition. I could finally call my apartment home by August. Things have been better over the past 3 months I've been here.Maintenance takes forever to actually do anything. The property (and entire neighborhood) is very dirty and embarrasses me when I have guests over. People leave their trash bags and discarded furniture outside the dumpsters, kids leave their water bottles and snack wrappers in the courtyard, residents throw their bags of trash down the stairs or leave their trash in the breezeways for several days. The parking lot is filled with pot holes and there are tons of stray cats. I love cats, but animal control is a concern. Guest parking is very limited. Being a girl who lives alone, I do feel pretty safe here. The property is well and a security guard walks around at night. It's ok for my first apartment, but I'm already counting down the days for my lease to be up because I do not plan on staying here any longer than I signed up for.
I would like to give praises to the office staff, especially Martha, Ruby, Juan and Sandra(Asst. Manager). They are trying to IMPROVE West Oaks Landing. I do see improvements, but don't stop. The residents need your help evryday.
I rented my apartment a month ago and I love my space it is very roomy and it’s like a two roommates style Apartments. Management staff is all new. They are awesome. Especially the tall leasing agent Ms. G. I would recommend my friends here. Everyone is super nice.
I live here now and as much as I hate to move again, gotta go!!!!!! it's horrible, small, roach infested, horrible management. They love to put notes on people's door saying they owe money for something that they probably don't, but that's not everybody else's business. The staff dress like they are going to a club......I could go on and on and on.
This is the worst place to live. I've been here for 2 years and in that time I've had to be my own maintenance person. Door wouldnt close and lock right, bathroom and toilet keep clogged, gun shots, and management never does anything about anything. I've also got my car towed by management after giving them my car information.
it was fun quiet and just enjoyable cant ask for nothign better
it's a good place to stay. Management and surroundings are good.
A lot has improved since I moved here in February of 2014. The neighborhood is okay. Every once in a while I see a pack of school aged boys hanging out by the pool area. They never bother anybody. At first the apartment complex was snail infested. I hated it! Ewwww! I rarely see them now, even when after it rains. No more roaches either, which I'm very grateful for. It seems as if all these improvements appeared after getting a new owner and management company. The only complaint I have as of now is that no one on the maintenance team speak English. Its quite frustrating trying to explain things to them. The rent went up $45 when I resigned the lease. I think I'll resign again if I keep seeing improvements.
I've lived here for the past year and the experience has been wonderful . The staff maintains grounds exceptionally well and maintenence is always courteous and diligent .
Hi,where I stay is in a great location.Close to shopping centers and schools, rent was ok in 2012 until now prices went up,and the reason I have not moved because its close to my jobs......
West Oaks Landing Apartments haves a sufficient space living for 700$ a month. It's also a special with good wifi signal, it's very quiet, also the management helps out as soon as possible. This apartment makes me want to pursue for more in life and obstacles.
