I have really enjoyed living at West Port Colony! My renovated unit has everything I need, and I love the amenities at the community. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the walls are very thin... usually, not a big deal, but sometimes I need to wear earplugs to sleep because I can hear my downstairs neighbors. Maybe that's to be expected in apartment living, but I didn't have this issue at any of my previous apartments.
Basic place to live with not frills and no problems. But it is an older place with minimal amenities and things to do. As I’ve lived here, I’ve noticed how most things are fixed hastily and require refixing, but that’s typical in many apartments.
I’ve lived at Westport Colony for 18 months now and it’s been lovely. I came from Tampa where I was having a lot of issues and noise in my old complex. It’s been very peaceful for my pup and I here. The neighbors are quiet, parking is good most of time, and I enjoy the pool and the dog park. The rent went up a bit, so I was hoping to see improvements to the dog park and fitness center. That would be great to see.
I recently have noticed that maintenance requests have not been being handled. We have submitted a few and have not gotten any responses to them. I do love how clean the apartment complex is though, and the pool and gym.
I moved in Oct 2023, apartment unseen. I was pleasantly surprised that it was very clean and and as they described. Any maintenance issues I have had have been promptly attended to. It has been a quiet place to live, pet friendly and the grounds well maintained. I recommend West Port Colony. I am enjoying my first year in Florida.
Recommend to anyone that wants to live in an apartment complex, amenities are excellent and the service. The complex is beautiful and located in a very good area close to Downtown St Pete and Tampa
Great place to live. My only complaint is that long term residents don’t receive updates on the apartments but the rent keeps increasing by about 9-10% every year
Lovely apartment complex! Very quiet and peaceful. Will recommend to friends and family. Love the location. Safe to walk my dog and longboard.
I have lived at this community for over three years and I have enjoyed my time here. The complex is kept clean and orderly and I haven’t had experiences with very disruptive neighbors. The office staff have been helpful when I have requested support.
I love living here. Neighbors are very nice. Dog friendly and such a convenient location being in the Gateway area! The staff is wonderful! I highly recommend!
We’ve had a very mixed experience here. The management team seems nicer now than ever, but there are a lot of issues with neighbors smoking in the apartments and on balconies. I wish non-smoking policies would be more strictly enforced.
Still my little piece of heaven in St. Pete! Been here for almost two years. Only thing is I wished the price would stop going up. But I haven't had any issues with maintenance request
This past year has been very disappointing. We used to truly like the community and west Port staff was helpful and timely. Now- maintenance requests go ignored. If answered- it takes forever to complete tasks. EX) took 2 months to fix a toliet pump & a year to fix a hole THEY put in a wall. Office staff is the worst & unhelpful. Police have been called all summer for tenant disturbances.
Nice property and quiet neighborhood. Pretty frequent maintenance requests as appliances are not the best and showing their age. Price is a bit steep and continues to rise each year.
I just moved here a couple of days ago and can say everything has been as smooth as possible, from early in the process to getting my keys. The apartment complex is very nice, well kept, and quiet.
West Port is a decent community. We’ve run into some issues with mold and trash pick-up, but it’s a safe neighborhood and the staff is kind!
I have really enjoyed living at West Port! The amenities and staff are great. The complex is well-kept and safe. My only complaint is that the walls in my building are very thin, so I often hear my downstairs neighbors when we're in the same room. But other than that, it's perfect!
My experience at WestPort Colony has been nothing short of wonderful. The neighbors are kind, maintenance is responsive, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The property is older, but has been pretty well maintained. For the price, there is not a better complex in the area.
West Port Colony has been a wonderful home for the past 2 years. Management and maintenance are great and very responsive to any issues that arise. I would highly recommend West Port Colony.
Very helpful support staff and maintenance team, quickly responds and take action to any questions/ requests we may have. A/C wasn't working and called maintenance who sent out help immediately and fixed the unit within the hour.
The apartments are nice and everyone who works here is very nice. Had a little trouble getting some maintenance requests filled, but nothing major
I needed to get moved in quickly and they made it happen. I am forever grateful! Thank you! Everyone was very nice and the move in was very easy.
Amazing staff and beautiful setting. We are in love with our new home. The check in process was smooth. The amenities are wonderful. Can’t speak highly enough of West Port Colony.
I moved here this week from NY, apartment unseen. The leasing office, especially Mary Allison, have been nothing short of kind, professional and wonderful. I did all my communication and transactions by phone and email. Everything has gone smoothly and the apartment is everything they said it would be !
I’ve needed to call maintenance a lot for minor things but they are quick. Community is quiet. Never have issues w noise. Wish there were washer dryers in all units
I love the staff and the amenities. The location is great and convenient. They currently have one person to complete work orders so it’s taking a little longer than normal to get them completed but other than that, it’s been great. Especially seeing the wild otters.
Very good amenities for a reasonable price. I enjoy the good location close to Tampa and St. Petersburg. The staff are nice and respectful and eager to help
Nice neighborhood. Plenty of space in a one bedroom. My unit would be better if it had an updated kitchen and bathroom, which are pretty outdated at the moment.
Great place to live! Beautiful location, very nice neighborhood to walk around in. Staff is very helpful, and maintenance always come right away!
Amazing! Todd in the leasing office made our move in amazing. We just moved in but so far we are in love with the place & the amenities. It’s a very neat and quiet community
A lot of sketchy people in the area trying to break into cars and messing up bricks around the pond when they go fishing. Also not very quick to respond to emails and calls
I love this complex! It is safe and such a nice place to walk around. The pool is huge and so fun, and I love the tennis courts. I am so glad I decided to start my family here.
I had a problem with AC and the guy came out immediately both times to fix the problem. He was very friendly and kind about the situation. The landscaping is also kept up with which is very nice. The pool is huge they keep it clean and the bathrooms at the pool are very kept up with.
Helpful and quick to respond. They make it easy to move in. Too many emails though, so be careful to review and not miss important leasing information.
I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience living in this apartment complex. Despite repeatedly reporting mold issues in my unit, the management has consistently failed to address the problem. The lack of responsiveness and concern for tenant health and safety is unacceptable. I would strongly advise against renting here, as the living conditions are not up to standard, and the management's negligence is a major concern. Moving into this apartment has been nothing short of a nightmare. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a living space that was far from clean and certainly not up to code. It was evident that the previous tenant's mess had not been properly addressed, and the overall condition of the unit was subpar. This lack of attention to cleanliness and code compliance reflects poorly on the management's professionalism and commitment to tenant satisfaction. I would caution anyone considering renting here, as my initial experience has left a lot to be desired.
The leasing office is always easy to talk to. They’re great about answering questions and response time. Maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner. I don’t have any complaints about living here! They keep the community clean and looking nice.
West Port Colony is a great place to live. Quiet community, beautiful pool, convenient area! Staff are also helpful. Super pet friendly, love having the pet trash cans and bags available. Dog park could be a little grassier, but nice to have dog park!
Rent cost too much for what you are getting and I hear water pipes creaking behind my bed and in my bathroom when neighbors flush their toilets or shower. Also I always have to park far away because parking is limited
This complex is beautiful! Todd was a wonderful agent who helped us find just the right fit for us. The location was what attracted us here, but there is so much more
So far everything has been great! I enjoy how friendly everyone is and if we ever need help it is easy to find it. The facilities are also great.
the pool and gym are very nice and clean. we love having the different dog walking stations and especially love the bark park. sitting outside on the back patio is one of my favorite things to do.
Maintenance is great, price is not worth the quality of the community/apartment, or the amenities afforded. My rent has increased about $500 in 3 years.
I just moved here from CT and everything has been very smooth! I have enjoyed walking around and getting to know the property which is very well maintained.
I have enjoyed living here so much! It is a quiet, peaceful community, and my neighbors are all so friendly! I have had a few minor issues, which have all been promptly responded to and fixed! The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing!
So far so good, have only lived a couple of weeks here but I love the scenery and the location is perfect. The amenities are awesome as well. Especially the pool for the summer time
Lovely place! Covered with beauitful trees and nice quiet street. Spacious apartments and lovely pool!!! One of the nicest places we saw around here.
I have really enjoyed living at Westport. The staff is helpful. Sometimes it gets noisy during the day as different landscaping and maintenance projects seem to occur all day or very early Monday through Saturday. Also, parking can be a challenge. But it is a nice place and community
I really enjoy living here. The atmosphere and great and everyone is very friendly. I do wish there was more light in my apartment, but I guess it depends on the building. Otherwise, everything is great and the amenities are awesome.
Overall a very positive 6 years. The only complaint I have is the inconsistency between units. My unit has not been updated in 15 years and I am still paying a premium.
