Property Ratings at West Town
I lived here for a year and I had a lot of issues. First off, they definitely paint over everything and make everything look good at first glance. Once I was in, I noticed the floor were insanely warped it made me dizzy at first. The first time I used my dishwasher it leaked water everywhere. My fridge went out completely and I had to throw away all my food. Then it would make this very loud knocking sound. They came to fix it but it continued the entire time I lived there. My heating and cooling had to be repaired MULTIPLE times. My sinks would clog too. So basically every functioning thing in that apartment broke multiple times over my year lease and it sucked having to call maintenance over and over. Second, there is no parking. I requested a covered parking and there was a wait list. Over the year I lived there I never got a covered parking. I never got a parking in general. It is a fight to find a spot within the apartment complex. If you find one you can’t leave cause you risk not finding one again and have to be forced to park insanely far from your building or in the street which brings me to my next thing. Parking in the street has major risks. During the time I was there drunk drivers crashed right in front of the apartments about three different times. One time even crashing into residents cars and fleeing the scene. Another into a pole knocking it down BARELY missing the parked cars. It is a very busy street and there were lots of fender benders in that area. Overall I would say that the layout of the place is great the size is nice and the kitchen are huge but do not let that suck you in. Management isn’t all that great either they don’t answer the phones and they lock themselves in the office stating covid restrictions as the reason. The prices have gone up and at this new price I’d say it’s not worth it. You can find much better at that rate. Something with parking and better amenities
The management here is HORRIBLE. They painted a beautiful picture, but the unit they put us in was not taken care of whatsoever. The stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, garbage disposal, and carpet were all damaged when we moved in. After we moved out, we were charged $500 for the carpet damages even though we asked repeatedly for it to be fixed. The managers would walk in and out of our unit and caught my husband in the shower at one point! There's never any parking, so one time, i parked where i could (people would regularly park in this spot) and my car was towed. The managers were very rude all the time and maintenance had to be contacted multiple times before getting anything fixed. We once had a leak coming from the upstairs apartment that resulted i damages to our personal items and never received compensation because their renters insurance does not cover leaks. This is the first review I've ever written because i truly felt it was necessary to help others by avoiding this place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
They don’t fix maintenance issues. I pay for reserved parking and they told me I have to be parked by 10 pm (I work night shift). I have opened at least 5 work orders to get the dishwasher fixed and still doesn’t drain. Electric switches don’t work either, they don’t fix issues. This is my last month I received my final statement for approx $950 but on the portal I had a balance of approx $1200 I contacted the office they told me to pay $950 however I had already paid the $1200 by the time they answered my question and a week later they want me to pay a balance that they cannot explain where it comes from. They have been harassing me to pay fees that came out of nowhere. The office staff is rude and unwilling to help. Save the headache don’t move here!
They never pick up their phones! You can call them early as soon as they open or at 1pm but there will be no answer. Horrible way for a tenant to be able to communicate with the front office! Who is supposed to answer my questions? Idk cause I can never ask them to find out they're never available
The price per square ft is a win, that’s for sure. That’s it. Parking if a NIGHTMARE! Everytime my friend and i decide to go out after 7pm, no parking, nothing, we have to park in the street. We have 2 dogs and have changed apartments in this same complex. They charged me $1,200 for “flea infestation and carpet damage.” I sent a certificate to them from the vet showing them my pets did not have fleas, they removed the charge, and just charged me $800 for pet damage. I did pay the pet deposit, and monthly pet fees. So, what do you expect for big dogs? It’s a trap. They do accept big dogs, but will screw you up for it. We are terrified for what the future moving out fees will be, what excuse they will find to charge us another $1,000. Sage yourself the stress, management is the worst you can imagine.
Worst apartments I have ever lived at! For the price we payed we expected better! The management was unreliable the ladies in the front office were always extremely rude and the maintenance was horrible. I wouldn't recommend these apartments at all! Parking was always terrible, not enough parking for the complex.
Worst apartments I've been in, my rent was about 1,300 terrible finishes between molding and wood floors (looked like a mix between old and water damage). The female manager is the worst, on your walk through offers you things that she wants to keep secret, and no wonder getting off the lease was a pain and parking sucks.
West Town Apaprtments is a wonderful apaprtment complex! The apartments are spacious and the kitchens are very large! Great closet space and the layouts are beautiful and enmormous! They are very pet friendly here and even have a dog park on site , that my dog loves may I add! Big pool with a cabana and grills for cookouts! The lanscaping is to die for! Tons of trees and grass everywhere it's gorgeous!! The pricing is very resasonable as well. My husband and I wanted to find a new place to call home after we got married and these apartments is the perfect place to call home. Hope you will call this complex home some day too!
