Property Ratings at West Towne
It’s been a good place to live, the staff is on top of making sure we have everything we need, and maintenance is super quick to fix issues!
Very nice and clean, over nice building and parking lots and the outside areas is very clean and nice and lots of nearby spaces to eat at and get food or delivery
Living here at Westtown has been great it has had its ups and downs but overall has been awesome most of the staff are super friendly and amazing maintenance I have to give them 5 star rating they are precise, quick and right on it when a work order is put in their communication is excellent. Great Job to everyone!!!!!
Love living here!!! Quiet friendly neighborhood!! Office ppl are kind and professional and very helpful!! Would highly recommend living here to anyone!!!
Very quiet…. And stays well warm in the winter and cool in the summer . Only issues I have is parking but that not something the office can control . Also I wish there was more garbage bins so I didn’t have to drive through the complex with trash in my car just to throw it away
The only thing that really bugs me about living here is how often strangers get to walk through my apartment for different reasons. For example, you can't schedule a time for maintenance to come if you need something fixed, they just show up whenever.
So far it has been a good time here. But I am moving to a new unit and different apartment style. It will be interesting if anything changes.
It’s a great place to live. The people are taken care of if they need help, It’s not loud, and it’s a well kept area. Also the people who I have interacted with are so kind! What’s not to love?
the staff is always so nice and helpful and the maintenance is super fast! I like the location and how there's so many things around here or not to far of a drive away
I’ve noticed the police here more often than they should be. Screen your tenants better. It’s ok to say no to people who bring a criminal element here.
Living here has just been a learning experience- Easy to commute to most ISU events- Easy to get to shopping ??? Convenient location for work commutes
This is a good place to live but is winter comes on they need to make sure that they're exterior doors locks are unfrozen so I don't get frostbite again this year
Maintenence is usually very quick to respond. Snow removal starts early in the morning so lot is cleared in time for people to head to work.
Good community and quick maintenance makes living here easy. Good for college students too with the bus stop on the street just outside the apartments.
I like living here, it’s a nice area and mostly quiet. It’s away from campus so it’s not as busy which is nice. Sometimes it’s hard to deal with loud neighbors
West Towne is a great place to live and a great community! Love that there is a lot in walking distance . The elementary School for my daughter, perfect games to have with my family, gas station, dollar tree, great places to eat!
I absolutely love everything about this place. Very quiet and peaceful location yet not far from ISU. Amenities and environment is perfect for student living. Exclusive 5 stars for Haverkamp staff members who are best in all ways!!
We absolutely love our place. It is in a very good place and it's very quiet. It's a good place to raise kids. We could not be any happier than what we are now.
So far so good peaceful place to live and beautiful scene staff is helpful and very understanding of you living situation!! I would recommend westtowne to anyone
Thanks for making the apartment complex such a friendly community! I always feel seen when visiting the office, and appreciate the quickness to help out!
I love the amenities offered. It gets really cold and the heater doesn't always keep up during winter and when it does your electricity bill goes up. Needs cameras for people who won't clean up after their animals.
been a good place to live. staff is nice and apartment is nice. maintenance is on top of any issues you may have. office staff is respectful and will work with you with things
I appreciate the free parking, how quiet my floor is, and my unit’s amenities. The accessibility to a large dumpster is also very convenient.
Great place to live, very friendly staff, super clean environment and a cute little Cafe located downstairs with the best quick breakfast! Really what else is there to ask for?
West Towne is great, especially for the price point. The amenities are great, maintenance always responding to any issues, and then office staff will help with any issues.
Living at west towne is peaceful. I enjoy have a gym and cafe that is walking distance. Maintenance is always very fast and the community is very nice.
Always super quick to fix a problem. The staff have never been rude or treated me like I was stupid. They've always been super flexible and understanding about what was going on. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent.
Property Manager at West Towne, Responded To This Review
Thank you for this great review! We are so glad that our staff has been able to assist you and we appreciate you sharing your experience!
Love to live in west town, staffs are nice, maintenance request are responded quickly, the only thing I hope they can improve is that add more trash dumpster in front of each building.
People are nice, just the was are thin so when people have parties you can hear everything. Also, I appreciate that people don’t steal mail. I love the free coffee too and i appreciate the staff who keep it running
I moved here in August and so far i have no complaints, the buildings are nice and maintenance came on the same day that we put in a work request. Highly recommend for student housing!
Loving my residence. Maintenance responds quickly. Lots of parking. Close to shopping, eating, and schools. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't plan to move anytime soon.
Great place to live, nice and friendly community. Workers are very friendly and helpful. If you are a college student I recommend! Work request are also done in a timely manner.
I rented this apartment as a sublease. The prior tenants had dogs; the apartment was in rough shape when I moved in. Nevertheless, I left it practically remodeled. I color-matched the walls, bought paint, and repainted nearly the whole inside. The grout was coming up around the tub - I regrouted it. I rented a deep clean vac from Hy-Vee and left the carpet like new (I even added those curving wave patterns you see on the show apartment photos a leasing company puts on their website, where the threads are rubbed in alternating directions). Obviously I cleaned behind the stove, and on top of the ceiling fans, and around the water heater. At the end? $145 taken for 'Cleaning of Unit'. No explanation. Make no mistake; after living at West Towne, surrounded by barking dogs, people playing nonstop music, neighbors stomping overhead until 2 or 3 in the morning; after all that, you may count on the satisfaction of the leasing company picking your pocket.
So far so good ! Been a month and haven’t had many problems. Just wish our apartment didn’t have many holes and problems to fix. But other than that love it here!
I love living on the ground floor. For me I am thinking about getting a dog and maybe bringing my old dog up to Ames. With a grass spot right outside my door I don't have to go far when letting my dog out! The space is nice for me. I live in a studio so I make do with the space. The only think I hate is the glass door.
Asides from a kinda crappy counter when we moved in making us wary of using our dishwasher, my roommates and I have loved it so far. Every fix-it ticket item we sent in has been either fixed hastily or noted down as to not go against our deposit. The office team is very nice, friendly, and professional.
Clean environment with a lot of great amenities. The surroundings offer a lot of locations to visit. A lot of gyms with a bus stop right in front for easy transportation.
management seems good but we got german roaches and i'm not sure how well the treatments are working. there's a bit of noise from the neighbors which is to be expected but it's otherwise peaceful.
Great place to live! Quiet and clean!! Close to convenient stores and perfect games! Many amenities come with living here!! Love the fact that fur babies are welcome!!
Great place to live I love living by the cafe and having a beautiful balcony to sit with my family on it’s been such a wonderful experience so happy to be here
It’s great, Love the parking space. & location of apartments. Haven’t had any problems with this location of the apartment which is nice! Resigned my lease and all.
So far everything has been super smooth and easy. Office staff is always nice and willing to answer questions. Maintenance was quick with fixing any issues that weren’t noticed before move in.
I really like it I love living on my own and maintenance was really good at doing a job here and the office office. People are really sweet and nice better Apartments than the other ones I’ve been at.
it is quiet place. The staff is polite, helpful and eager to entertain requests.Best part is that the place is close to bus stop and dollar tree is nearby.
Very quiet and safe place to live! I was worried about it being loud or dangerous but it has been great. Maintenance comes quickly if there is an issue.
This is a very nice place to live. I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for centrally located place in Ames very nice staff very accommodating as well. The price for rent is very fair.
So far so good! Nice place that is quiet. Has open parking and there’s always a place to park. The gym is right next door, super convenient and nice place.
It is a nice little quaint community, delightfully surprised by the amenities here. The one thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the parking lot as there is glass shards in the back of the parking lot
I recently just moved here. It seems to be a great atmosphere. The only concern I have is the glass in various areas in the parking lot. Overall, a decent place to live.
Living space is cozy and a lot of space for a one bedroom. Appliances could be updated such as washer and dishwasher. They don't clean as efficiently as I'd prefer, and this also leads to higher utility cost. Staff is friendly. Maintenance staff is very responsive and helpful!
