Property Ratings at Westbridge Townhouses
I like living here. It’s a fairly nice community. The neighbors are friendly for the most part. The townhomes are spacious, and have a balcony and a backyard. Plenty of storage. Laundry room in unit. Half bath down stairs. Management recently painted the exteriors of all buildings a new color.. a welcoming gray which definitely spruced the place up. However before you move here be aware of a few things. 1) At night, do not go outside. There are homeless digging through the trash cans, there are break ins, police are strolling through on a regular basis, and it’s dark. So dark. Pitch black. If I had children I would never take them outside at night. They do not add more lighting because they don’t want to have to spend the money. I understand they just painted the place, and that must’ve cost a pretty penny. But this is a safety issue. It’s too dark. It’s unacceptable. 2) Management. The manager can be nice, but she can also (often) make you feel like you’re walking on egg shells, or like you’re doing something wrong by just living here. She’s just hit and Miss with her demeanor and it makes you want to avoid her at all costs. But, she does her job and she has turned this place around. So, that’s the good and the bad for her. The maintenance guys are nice, but there is always an issue if you mention you’re having any issue in your apartment to them. Talk to the manager only regarding issues. 3) Rent. Rent always goes up. It never stops going up. Year after year, they will raise you the full 10% they are allowed, and that 10% goes up every year that they raise you. It’s unbearable. There seems to be no gratitude for the long time tenants here. Not one year will they not raise you. Be prepared for that. Overall, I like living here. But it can be a struggle at times. What I would love to see improved would be the lighting, gates at the front of the property.. at least gates at the sidewalk entrances, and I would love if they would show a little more appreciation to their good tenants.
