Property Ratings at Westcliff
This is the worst Apartment complex in the world. My daughter moved there in May due to medical school rotation and it has been a nightmare. Her unit on the 2nd floor was flooded from upstairs and the unit ceiling and walls as well personal property was damaged. Westcliff wants her to move to a new unit but she is being forced to sign a new lease and pay prorated rent even though she already paid her full rent in her current unit. She has been living elsewhere for the past few weeks due to the condition of her unit. The new management us no different from the old. Stay away!
Property Manager at Westcliff, Responded To This Review
Hi Vicky, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are very sorry for the inconvenience your daughter experienced. It is important to clarify that the flooding was the result of an unexpected lightning strike. In response, we worked diligently to resolve the situation and offered a new apartment to avoid living under repairs, with no additional charges. Our priority was ensuring your daughter had a safe and comfortable living space during that time. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly at 303-657-2730. Thank you.
“Luxury” apartments? Between the weekly mountain of trash because there’s only one trash compactor, the couple unexplainable fees on top of the already insanely high rent prices and the lack of care from the management team that gave it the “landlord special” before we moved in. There are countless reasons why I will never recommend this place to anybody. Mold issues, paint all over the floor, the ability to see my refrigerator through the drywall under the countertop and the worst ventilation I’ve ever experienced. Please don’t live here unless you don’t care about your quality of life.
I live there for a year and department manager is not straightforward with answers and cannot handle to be professional. The garbage collection is horrendous many rats and creatures because the garbage is not picked up and it's overflowed on a weekly basis without being addressed months on end. Snow removal for sidewalks only at the main office rest of the apartments slippery. Had two instances of police with assault rifles and one murder and the bottom apartment.
I tried really hard to live here. Despite the negative reviews, I went forward trying to become a resident, but it seems like they don't want residents. I submitted an application within an hour after touring the property, was approved within 48 hours, and then was completely GHOSTED by the property management. We had to follow up almost a dozen times just to get a correct welcome letter and then had to wait for over a MONTH AND A HALF to simply receive the lease. Mind you, I didn't get a lease until just 1.5 weeks prior to my intended move in date after I had applied a month and a half earlier. Every time we asked for the lease, we got a generic excuse. Getting anxious, I called the property to discuss and they had no idea who I was or what apartment I was meant to move into. Due to the lack of communication, I had no choice but to tour other places and eventually found a better option. Oddly enough, Westcliff apartments (with many vacancies) acted like they didn't want me to live there and made it essentially impossible to do so. So if the other reviews didn't scare you off, then I wish you the best of luck trying to get a lease and actually move in...
This property will vigorously overcharge on water/sewer usage without ANY rate of usage receipt.
Do not live here. It is not worth your time, money, or stressing yourself out. This complex displays a pattern of lack of professionalism, poor communication, and predatory rent practices. Reviews from 5+ years ago are what is propping up their score. Check any of the other rating and reviewing sites to get a real understanding of how poor of a choice this place is to live.
They are horrible at snow removal from sidewalks. They do not take care of the gym or the bathrooms by the gym. They are charging astronomical price increases to current residents to renew their lease and slashing prices to get new residents. They do not care about the residents here and do not want to do anything to address legitimate concerns residents have.
I just moved her a month ago and problems just seem to keep coming. I usually am very patient with problems. Seeing all the other one star reviews, I’m sure I’m gonna see more issues. Trash issue is still a problem, the employee Francesca is super rude and has a attitude, parking is a total mad house (if you don’t get to a spot at a certain time you are out of luck), even if you are assigned a spot and you don’t update your parking spot they will put it as vacant, and dog poop everywhere
This apartment complex like other reviews is far luxury. During the summer months the pool was closed almost every other weekend for maintenance. Trash is constantly overflowing at the dumpster and surrounding dog poop areas. Dog poop everywhere in grass. Front desk staff do not respond to emails. I went in to complain about the rising communicty shared water bill ($150/mo for a 2 bedroom) and the office manager told me "tough luck, you should have read your lease". I've stayed at a few apartments in the Broomfield/Westminster area, this apartment complex you shuold stay far far away from.
We waited 4 days to get an answer back on our applications. The leasing agent gave us bad information and the manager was extremely rude and condescending, adding insult to injury! Do not submit an application unless you are desperate. There are better places. We have already found one for less money, a better location, more square footage, and excellent responsiveness (less than 3 hours). Read the reviews on this place. There is a reason they are rated so badly!
Every time it rains I have to turn power off to one of my rooms because water goes straight in to the power outlet. The trash is disgusting. It’s always full and because it’s always full it blows all over the complex. I called because my pay period is changing at the end of my paternity leave and I want to pay rent on the 3rd. Manger was rude cut me off and gave me the if I do it for you I have to do it for everyone is going to be changing me late fee. When my lease ends we are leaving and never coming back unless something changes.
Read the reviews before renting here. Trust me! You will have nothing but problems.25 of the 35 reviews on this site are 1 star reviews. I don't understand how apartments.com can give this place 5 star rating with so many negative reviews. I think this is very misleading to people who are looking for a place to rent. The office staff is as nice as can be and will promise you everything until you sign the lease. Then good luck getting them to call you back or getting service requests taken care of. Don't move here, you will be sorry!
They don’t take care of trash or pest they don’t remove snow from side walks they don’t care of the residents that live there stay away from there place go move somewhere else
Management is absolutely awful. There is extremely limited parking, which management has reduced further by putting storage containers in. Maintenance is slow and does a very poor job. I would give this property 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY
Though it is called Westcliff Luxury, there is nothing luxury about this place. Things are constantly breaking in my unit, and the maintenance staff is horrendous. Maintenance requests are not responded to promptly, and are rarely actually resolved on the first try. Maintenance has made my problem worse on multiple occasions.
This place is a nightmare. Nothing ever fixed. No one ever to call. Hidden charges everywhere
If I could give this place a negative star I would. Never gave out deposit back after 90 days. Still “waiting” on our $400 fee when we applied. Absolutely insane.
My windows haven't opened and closed properly for the entirety of our 12 month lease. 3 different contractors came into the apartment to "assess" and now I have stickers on my windows that must mean something but the windows still don't work correctly. 6 months and 6 repair requests marked complete have come and gone and washing machine has never even been looked at - I have been told that "parts are on order", "a new machine has been ordered" and a host of other placating phrases, however my machine still screeches like a banshee and leaves oil spots on my clothes. It's dangerous at night in the complex because so many exterior lights are out and the snow and ice is no longer being taken care of. For several months 4 out of the 5 lights on our landing and stairs were out, it wasn't until I fell down the stairs and threatened legal action that we now 4 out of 5 lights lit. The addresses on the buildings are not lit anymore so in the event of a fire or medical emergency it would be difficult to find the right building. The recycling and trash area is always overflowing and unsightly. Recently our water heater went out which weirdly also controls the heat - it was out for 2 days before anyone came to look at it. We were told it needed replaced and assumed that meant that it would be done immediately. More fool me, the maintenance man got it working for another 3 days until late on a Saturday night. We called the emergency maintenance number and we did get the water heater replaced the next day. If only they had completed the job we would be pleased with the repair... a month later and the door to the closet (which is in our living room is still off the hinges, the temperature is set so high that scalding is a definite possibility if one doesn't pay attention and the old water heater and all the detritus is still sitting on the landing outside our apartment. Plus when the new lease was delivered - the rent was raised. Unbelievable. Don't live in a JRK property. You can do better.
Monitor your bill very closely. While living there, I had several incidences of unknown charges appearing on my account or received letters/phone calls that I need to pay a bill that had already been paid with evidence that the check was deducted from my account. Each of these issues was a challenge to have resolved and I had to send several emails and stop by the office multiple times before the balance was corrected and the calls would stop. Upon moving out (early July), I verified with Teri, the office manager (also the individual who provided challenges with removing incorrect balances) that rent had been paid in full until the end of lease. She stated that my deposit should cover apartment move-out charges as well as the remaining utilities balance. Immediately following moving out, I noted incorrect charges on my Westcliff account and attempted to contact someone from the office to have them resolved. Despite numerous emails and phone calls I received no follow-up. I figured they would contact me once the final bill was determined and I could deal with the situation then. My next dealing with Westcliff came in mid-October when I received a letter from collections for a debt owed to Westcliff Apartments of $192.50. I again attempted to contact Westcliff. Once I finally got in touch with someone, Dusti, I was informed that Teri was on vacation for a month and that no one else in the office was able to handle this issue. Once Teri finally returned I discussed with her, on multiple occasions these charges and the lack of validity. I finally was able to receive an itemized list. These charges were unfounded and included items such as: global fee, courtyard view, and rental income. Based on the bill and the items that were legitimate (utilities, carpet cleaning), my deposit should have more than covered the account. After a ridiculous amount of time of my part, Teri finally revised the bill to $69.73. This bill still contains "Rental Charges" of $144 and is incorrect. While Westcliff originally sent the updated amount to collections, the most recent conversation I had with collections stated that the amount has now been revised to $195.95. The whole situation has gone on now since I moved in July. I would cautiously consider moving into this apartment complex if you expect any level of competency in office staff. If you do elect to move-in, ensure you request itemized statements of each bill and have everything closely documented in writing.
I have lived at Westcliff apartments for almost 2 years now. It's a safe neighborhood and good area to live in. The floor plans are spacious. That's about all the positives I have though. I was told I would be getting new carpet when I signed my lease. On day of move in, the manager told me they decided NOT to put new carpet in my place without ever notifying me. The office has a very high turn over rate. Most of the office staff are rude and passive aggressive. This place is far from luxury as the signs state, and charges way too much for what they actually provide. They went up over 10% on my rent when I renewed my lease. People do not pick up after their dogs, and half the time they aren't on a leash either and come running up to you. The trash compactor at the back of the neighborhood is constantly overflowing, its the ONLY trash in the neighborhood. The dog park is falling to pieces and has gotten worse since I originally moved in. Maintenance likes to close your maintenance requests even though they were never completed. Their 48 hour guarantee they advertise? Don't count on it. There is no point in complaining to the office about anything because they don't care, and half of the time don't bother replying back to you either. I left numerous voicemails at corporate too, and no one there ever bothered to call me back. UPDATE 7/23/19: Teri the manager at the office today told me to "stop talking" when I came in to talk about about a maintenance request not being fixed after 3 weeks(and I dropped by her office several times to mention it over the 3 weeks). She blatantly told me that other customers without AC are more important than bugs crawling in under my door and my AC seeping out below the door due to weatherstripping that needs to be replaced. I used to like her, but now? Uh no way. Sorry Teri, you aren't the boss of me, I don't stop when you tell me to stop, and you really should learn customer service.
Lived there for 6 months and the conditions were deplorable to say the least. I had two floods from the upstairs apartment and had to insist the maintenance people check upstairs for the leak. They had my water shut off thinking it was a leak from my apartment for days due to lack of knowledge. Got my water turned on then the water heater went out, i have pics of how rusted and corroded the thing was. No maintenance had been done for a long time on it. Staff is horrible and only play the blame game on each other to get you out of the office. There is trash in the halls and dog crap everywhere. Mailboxes get broken into and my garage unit was burglarized. This place is the worst in the area by far, Their rates are based off the nicer places around. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the nicer places.
We have lived here for almost a year and have endured nothing but bad maintenance care rude office staff. We had to wait over a month for air conditioning in 90 degree weather. It wouldn’t have been so bad but there isn’t a cross breeze with the windows. It was miserable. Currently having a similar issue with the heat. Unacceptable. When we put in work orders, the staff acts like it’s a burden to fix it. We have put in so many work orders and feel it’s pointless to put in anymore due to their lack of care and competency. I can go on all day about how difficult it has been to live at Westcliff apartments. Save yourselves from the headache.
Property Manager at Westcliff, Responded To This Review
Cindy, My apologies for how you have felt at Westcliff over the last year. We have a beautiful community and we strive on great customer service as well as taking care of maintenance issues in a timely manner. I hope that we can have a chance to make your experience a better one and please continue to put in work orders as needed. Come to the office any time so we can further discuss your needs and what has all happened over the last year. I appreciate you taking the time to post a review, Westcliff Mgmt.
I just moved here to westcliff apartments and while there was some issues at move in Kelli and Teri were ontop of all of them and made everything right and made sure i was nothing short of happy at move in. I am already loving my time here and the pool and hot tub are amazing! I highly recommend these apartments to anyone who is looking for a cute "homey" apartment!
I have lived in Westcliff Luxury Apartments for almost a year and am about to resign my lease for another year. All the staff has been so friendly and helpful throughout my time living here. The apartments are beautiful and this has been by far my favorite apartment that I have lived in. I have no plans on moving anytime soon!
I have lived here for a year and am about to re lease for another! I’ve lived in quite a few apartments and Westcliff by far is my favorite. The management is always on top of everything and is very quick to respond. All the facilities are exceptionally clean, along with the apartments themselves being very nice. I would highly recommend Westcliff luxury apartments!
These apartments have great layouts and are spacious with amazing storage space. The management sucks though and the pool is not heated like they say, the apartments are not kept up and the maintenance is bare minimum. The mailboxes are so difficult to get into and people pile the trash outside the trash reciprocal. The rent is too high for these luxury apartments that are not luxury at all, the best thing about this place is location.
I'd give -5 stars if it was an option. Do not rent here. You will regret it. I've had nothing but horrible experiences all around. The staff is consistently incompetent and theres been 3 managers in our 6 months living here because it's so awful. One literally told us that she was going to quit because residents were so unhappy and she hated her job. Our apt was never checked before we moved in - it looked like trash (patchy paint, dark stains all over the carpet, trash left behind and sheetrock literally falling down). Anytime our apt needs attention, it not only takes far too long for anyone to show up (it once took them a month to show up for a WATER LEAK which we'd obviously fixed on our own), sometimes nothing gets done or it's half assed. Also, there's one dumpster for the entire complex so it is ALWAYS overflowing and disgusting. Do yourself a favor and pick any apartment complex other than this one.
I just moved in here Friday from Omaha, NE. At first we worked with Jessica to get our apartment tour via FaceTime and she was very nice and helpful. She had an answer to all of our questions and was very prompt with her response time. Once I got out here, I had some issues with Comcast getting set up due to where the cable and internet hook ups were. The property manager, Kelly, went way out of her to talk with Comcast directly for me to ensure I had everything done that I needed. I can't thank you guys enough for your time and efforts.
Don't be fooled by the "luxury apartment" sales pitch, this apartment complex does not deserve any business. We should have followed the countless negative reviews we read before deciding to take a chance and move here anyways. I could go on for quite a while listing all the negatives, but I will simply list some of the most egregious. 1. There was no mailbox provided for MONTHS. We work 9-5 and couldn't receive any mail for MONTHS. The complex made no effort to assist the residents and lied on many occasions about when the mailboxes would be fixed. 2. All service requests are supposed to be filled within 48 hours. That happens about 10% of the time. One specific request took 3 weeks. 3. The abundance of trash. There is one bin provided for the recycling and one compactor for the trash. This is a very large complex and the bin fills up in a matter of days. There is trash overflowing for the majority of the week, every week. Nothing has been done to fix the issue, in fact, all they do is threaten to fine people for leaving trash outside their door or throwing their trash onto to pile. Essentially, you are threatened for generating trash, a task that is impossible to avoid. 4. The office ignores you. We have had nonstop issues with neighbors filling our apt with cigarette smoke (expressly prohibited in the lease). Not a single thing has been done. We've talked to the office well over a dozen times, and on many occasions have been told that no report was ever made. We talked directly to corporate 4 times and never received a response. They literally don't care about the residents. 5. The quality of the apartments is pathetic. It looked nice upon first glance, but you quickly see that the apts were built with no care. A lot of the cabinet handles are missing screws, the dishwasher was loose, the doors are uneven so you have to lift as you push in order to close, the windows aren't fitted into the frames and don't close fully, etc. 6. Last, but not least, the office CAN'T be trusted with money. We were overcharged once by a couple hundred dollars. We spoke to the office and they said we would be credited the next month. The next month came and there was no credit. Spoke with them again, got an apology and a promise it would be credited the next month. Next month came and still no credit. Now we feel the only option is obtaining legal counsel. I hope you will choose somewhere else and save yourself from this monstrosity.
SAVE YOURSELVES AND LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE. Location is not worth it, unless you have tons of money to throw away and are fine with being treated poorly. Not only did the office staff treat us like crap for months, threatened us, and ignored our calls and maintenance requests, when we were finally able to move out and rid ourselves from them they stole our money through absolutely bogus charges, sneaky policies, and again by ignoring our questions and not returning our calls. They will keep your entire deposit even if you don't leave a scratch on the place. Bogus cleaning fees, terrible service, and hundreds of dollars stolen after a year of dealing with their poor management and filthy disgusting grounds with garbage and dog poop everywhere you look.
I think that any positive reviews here are planted by the staff. I have lived in several different apartment complexes and this one wins the prize for the WORST. Do NOT be fooled by the glossy photos and seemingly nice exterior. The units are POORLY maintained and CHEAP. The rent is exorbitant for what you are getting. Basic things that you should be able to rely on from a landlord are just not there. Central trash area is disgusting. Mailboxes broken. Walks not shoveled. Things that break in the apartment are not tended to. Residents are threatened with fines, cars are towed, and instead of being treated respectfully as paying customers residents are treated like squatters. Amenities like pool and business center are constantly "under repair". The staff is constantly turning over, I can only imagine how terrible it is to work for JRK. Horrible company. Run far, far away.
These apartments look really nice from a distance. Their model is beautiful. In fact, we were told that was the floorplan we were getting but when we moved in, when in fact, it was the smaller floorplan. We have lived here for a year now. Maintenance is horrible. It takes forever to get anything done - and it's usually not done right and they argue with you first. Rent is overpriced. The pool area is beautiful and the pool is huge - but they close it quite often. In fact, they picked the hottest days of the year to close it (still closed) to have it replastered. The staff in the office is generally nice, but they basically just tell you what you want to hear with no follow through or true knowledge. The manager sends email after email - blanket emails to everyone about everything - but cannot have a conversation without interrupting you numerous times. Garages and carports are no where near your apartment. Parking in the lots, we both have numerous door dings, dents, and even paint transfer from other people now. Overall, this place is not nearly as nice as it seems. I have even run into other residents at the post office -because a quarter of the complex did not have mailboxes for almost 5 months thanks to apartment management dragging their feet - and in the leasing office. Other residents, with no prompting or complaint from me, start telling their horrible experiences with this place as well. Look elsewhere!
Property Manager at Westcliff, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for leaving a review. We see that you are pleased in some regard with our community, but overall dissatisfied. We are sorry for any frustration we may have caused. Please know that from time to time, the pool must be closed due to routine maintenance. Also - We are working to resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and we invite you to speak directly to us about this. Thank you.
As a potential renter, MOTHER, and dog owned human, I am so frustrated and annoyed at the breed restrictions. This is archaic and ridiculous! It is virtually impossible for my family to live in a nice, safe community now.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. It looks luxurious from the outside, but the staff is rude, forgetful, and blames you for everything. I have been given misinformation multiple times that has cost me time and money. The trash is always overflowing and maintenance does not do a thing. For the sake of time, I won't share all of my issues, but here are a few... I was given the wrong mailbox keys. When I brought them in to get exchanged she said, "Um no, you're wrong, it says the right number on here." I had to convince her it was the wrong mailbox and show her what name was on the mail before she would believe me. She said it would be a few days. I waited 4 days and went back in. She had not done a thing and had completely forgotten about it. I then called everyday until I got my key 2 weeks later. At move-in the carpet was disgustingly dirty, cabinet handles loose with screws missing, two windows would not open/shut properly, metal crammed into one of my electrical outlets, and the laundry door was off it's hinges. I reported ALL to maintenance. Someone came a few weeks later to look at the cabinets, reported the job as "complete", and left me a note saying, "Cabinets are not broken. They are fine." I scheduled another maintenance request and the issues have still not been resolved. I submitted my rent online and received a confirmation notice in my email that it was received. I get another email 9 DAYS LATER informing me my online payment was rejected and to contact the office. I called for hours only to get a busy signal. When I finally got them on the line, they said I now owe my rent PLUS $350ish for overdue fees. However, none of these late fees show up in my online portal, so the only way to know about them and not accrue more charges is to call, which is nearly impossible. They also informed me I could only pay with a certified check now, which is understandable, but my bank is in another state. I saw in my online portal that they accept Money Gram for overdue fees so I call to confirm. She says, "No we do not accept Money Gram." I tell her that it is on the website in the portal and I would like to talk to corporate because that is false information. She rudely grunts and tells me to hold on, then says, "Fine, you can pay with Money Gram. Corporate is here today and said so." I asked her to email me confirmation of the date, time, situation, and fact that she said Money Gram was acceptable. At this point I hired a lawyer and cannot wait to move out.
Believe the reviews. We did not believe the reviews before we moved in - bad mistake. It's easy now to spot the fake reviews for this place.... --Horrible front office staff. --Take note of the 'Snow Removal Waiver' you must sign before moving in. They will not clean the roads or sidewalks. So when Terri assigns your reserved parking spot and you mention that it is not even at your building but all you get in return is attitude.....7 months out of the year you are then forced to cross ice covered sidewalks and roads between buildings. How can clearing the sidewalks even be optional?! --Our neighbors were the loudest I've ever had in 10 years of apartment life. Upstairs neighbors were running some kind of a marijuana smoke shack / furniture making business. Downstairs lady freaking loved her Fleetwood Mac played super LOUD. --Too many other places unless you get them to rent you a 3br place for $200/mo....keep looking.
DO NOT RENT HERE. Unless you are a fan of living in an overpriced, dilapidated, wretched, stress-inducing slum run by unethical and inept people.
I wish I had read reviews! The apartment itself is nice, normal wear and tear (dings, dents, marks, etc), but the staff makes it not worth living here. "$0 move in with approved credit" - I have amazing credit and had to pay over $1700 at move in! -They don't answer emails. -They didn't send information about my move-in prior to me showing up -They were closed early the day I was supposed to move in -They didn't have any paperwork ready (even though I'd called to check multiple days in advance after not hearing from them and then they caused me to be a day late so they had plenty of time) -They sent the "welcome letter" (.xlsx so I couldn't open it until I started work) with the wrong information except how much I owed (dates, mailbox, etc) -Didn't have a shower curtain rod at move in and even though staff said it was put in as an emergency, they didn't put it in until the next day, and I didn't get it until the day after that -Wasn't offered a tour and wasn't told where anything (mailboxes, trash, etc) was located -I had a random $300 charge at the beginning of the month. I used their resident "contact" form to ask what it was for. I got the email to confirm that it had been sent to the westcliffmgr email, but it's now 5 days later and I haven't gotten a response. Checked my account again today and the charge is down to $9. Unfortunately, the portal has NO way to tell you WHY you owe what you owe, so even though it's only $9, I'd like to know what it is, but I doubt I'll get a response. -The parking is not as abundant as they say. When I called beforehand they said there was plenty of parking everywhere and I'd have no problem. Well, maybe that's true if I want to walk to the other side of the apartment complex when I get home after 6pm, but it's not true for the whole complex. -They apologize for NOTHING. If something is their fault, clearly it is somehow YOUR fault.
It has been one thing after another with this apartment. Here's the main things: 1. Leases/paperwork. They do a bait-and-switch. We had to move after mold and they extended our lease by 6 months, so we had to stay 12 more months. 2. Mold: They don't do mold repair. We had a horrible water leak from outside in one unit, moved to another and the resident above flooded the bathroom. They did no spray, repair, anything, which is highly illegal and unethical. 3. Garbage removal/fees: They charge monthly fees for garbage and extermination. There are spiders and centipedes in the apartment and the trash is overflowing outside of the compactor and the recycling. They apparently don't empty it enough for the amount of residents. 4. Maintenance/repairs: They have had more than once when they couldn't get the fire alarm to stop going off. ALL NIGHT. On holidays. They have promised to replace our hot water heater several times, and then told us to call corporate. They send maintenance to hit it with a wrench. Repairs (dryer not working, leaking faucets/pipes, hot water heater not turning off, AC filter replacements) happen at random times or not at all. 5. Multi-million dollar renovation? They decorated the office really well (if you like that style). They put in a water creek thing that is algae-filled and then turned off. The fountain by the sign looks pathetic, like 1980's mall reject fountain. The pool and hot tub are often green and not balanced, or the right temperature. The renovations in apartments? The refrigerators no longer have ice makers. The granite counter tops were replaced with particle board. The painting on the cabinets is shoddy, scrapes off, and is missing baseboards. Terrible work quality. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, unless you just have money to burn.
I have found that the proprietors of this apartment complex have been very dishonest since moving here. I was promised when viewing the units that my admin. fee would be applied to my first months rent - but discovered after signing the lease that that was false. I was told that my lease included a covered parking space when I was viewing the unit, only to discover at the lease signing that this was false. I reported problems with the apartment on day one (most notably that the kitchen sink was never fully installed - it's just loosely sitting on the counter. This has prevented me from using the garbage disposal) On two occasions I pointed it out. I was told that it would be fixed soon, that turned out to be false. You will probably find the staff here very difficult to deal with. I believe they are extremely unethical, they might entice you with good rents, and you might be tempted. Do not do it, there are plenty of other apartments in the area. I had to stay one month past my lease, and I was told that my rent would increase by nearly 60% (that is not an exaggeration, I promise you) per month the moment my lease expires with no notice whatsoever.
Overall, Westcliff has been one of the worst apartment experiences ever. I will be posting a full review shortly, but for now, notice how this says "5 stars" on this site. Now look at the reviews. The laws of math say it should be about 3 stars, which is still way too generous. Look at all the other websites and their 1 star reviews. Do not lease here! They are incompetent and uncaring and you will suffer because of it!
Awesome new staff! Compared to other apartments in the area this one takes the cake by far! ! Renovated units are actually renovated, most other complexes seem to repaint old cabinets and charge higher prices. I can't brag enough about the amazing and welcoming attitude of the staff and the maintenance crew! Great price, awesome location!
From the management office lack of competence and willingness to help, to the endless unit repairs and needed services that never get done at all!! And don't even get me started on their serious lack of LUXURY which is a joke. They'll show you a really nice unit on your tour of the apartment you want, but the one you end up with is far from what you expected. I have lived in many apartment properties before and believe me when I tell you that this by far is the most horrible one have lived in. Don't let the exterior of the property or the fake smiles of the girls at the office fool you! because I promise you, you will regret living here one way or another.
The apartments are well insulated from the elements and noise. Amazingly quiet compared to other apartments that I have lived in. The upgrades add to the overall appearance of the site.
CHIRP went the smoke alarm. I woke at 11:30 pm. I called for Help! Rob, maintenance manager rang doorbell within 5 minutes. I opened door. It was raining, porch light out. Got ladder. Changed battery. From phone call to no chirping was 15 minutes. Wow! Next night lights on porch fixed! My hero, Rob. My daughter and I feel safe. Our 2 bedroom apartment has the perfect floor plan with more closet and storage space with the walk in closets than any other place we looked at. I have a kitchen that I can cook and bake my famous homemade eclairs. The pantry...a bonus. Work is minutes away. We can hop on the highway and get to Denver or Boulder. Shopping for groceries or getting to a mall is so easy and close. Of course we have all the bells and whistles. Perfect temperature pool, hot tub, comfortable cabanas, 3 hole putt putt golf, cozy swing, updated grill, clubhouse elite, pool table, shuffle board, arcade games, computer center, fitness area complete with the latest equipment and even a punching machine. The last paint and sip event was so much fun. There were staff members of JRK Westcliff along side with singles, couples, grandparents, and kids having fun stroking the paint on canvas. A lot of people can write reviews of the problems and bad stuff of a place you call home. sure I have those stories too. But I wanted let you in some of the good stuff in my world. My home where my heart is safe and comfortable. Maybe at the next Bingo BBQ apartment complex pool party...MAYBE...we will see YOU there!
We moved in thinking it was a lixury apartment, it is in the name 'Westcliff Luxury Apartments'. We have had nothing but problems since we moved into our remodeled unit. The remodel was done very poorly the counters were not filed down and I now have a scar on my stomach from them. We had to take a handle off because it prevented another drawer from opening. We dealt with mold under our bathroom floor for almost a year because of a toilet leak they refused to fix. Our dining room window has a waterfall of water that comes in everytime it rains hard. Maintenance said it is from a roofing problem they have not fixed. We had no mailboxes for 5 months because someone broke into them and they would not fix them. We had to drive to the post office for everything. We have bees nests all over the complex. We had no pool for two months and have never had a hotub, it just sits there with stagnet water. Our neighbors also have had issues. One had no AC for 6 months. They also are still missing cabinet doors and are paying for a 'remodeled' apartment and have the old cabinets with paint over them. Our neighbor across from us has to use a wrentch to turn on his shower. The office people are not helpful and they never answer your calls. I'm sure I have forgotten some issues, I could go on and on. Please don't get tricked by the 'remodel' and move into these. It is not worth your time or money!
I love living here. Such a nice layout and nice neighborhood.
I've lived in 2 separate units in this complex, and have to say I loved them both. The apartments are laid out nicely, have spacious bathrooms and closets, and the storage closet is large enough to store all my outdoor gear (and I have a lot of it...)! There's also a decent-sized patio, which is great because I love sitting outside in the summer evenings. The maintenance team is really attentive as well – when the garbage disposal went out, someone was there and had it fixed by the end of the day. During the summer, the pool is excellent and never gets too crowded. The management team throws awesome get-togethers with burgers and drinks, and it's a great way to meet some of the other people in the community! While I have a membership to a gym nearby, the onsite fitness center has just about everything I need – free weights, cardio equipment, and resistance training machines. There's also a great running trail just across the street, in case you need a break from the treadmill. Even though the complex is so close to highway 36, you can't hear the traffic at all. There's plenty of space to take your dog out to go to the bathroom, and I've never seen a resident leave droppings behind (this has been a problem for me at other complexes, so I definitely look for that now). It's definitely family-friendly, and there are often kids playing together outside. Whole Foods and Sprouts are both very close-by, along with Target and Walmart. There's also tons of restaurants nearby! Something that's sort of random, but very convenient is the 4th of July fireworks show that takes place at the Westminster Rec! Since it's so close to the complex, I'd have friends over for the complex-hosted pool party during the day, and then cruise over for the fireworks at night. Now that I'm done raving, there is 1 thing that I didn't like (and I moved before the most recent company did a bunch of renovations, so I'm not sure if this is even an issue anymore). The countertops in the kitchen are made of a cheap-ish material that stains VERY easily.
