WiFi is always down… I had to purchase my own even though I pay for one with my rent. Planning on moving once my lease is up
So many things wrong with this place from the gym and lobby smelling like sewer when it rains or finding your car is missing by either it getting towed or stolen. There so many multiple breakins outside the street in a single file line. Management treats you like you are garbage and speaks to you very condescending. They could care less about the residents and offer penalties to guests rather than solutions. Guest parking is now currently not allowed in the parking lot and the street parking is where break ins happen all the time. Not to mention that the area feels super unsafe to walk at night. Only one trash bag per day is allowed if not you will get fined $25 extra for each bag. Tow trucks take cars here all the time even if you are register, especially new residents moving in. Staff entering apartments without people’s consent and no physical key is given to you for your apartment. The carpet in the hallways makes the hallways smell putrid.
While the apartments look nice and it is a new building, do not live here. They will tell you there is no problem when it comes to move out and move in fees, however after talking with multiple people they "loose" paperwork and will charge you for their mistake. I was charged $400+ for no reason and it was sent to my credit report. This was done for a lot of the residents, as I talked with them. The staff (leasing and management) are unprofessional, will lie to you, and do not answer the phones. Additionally, the walls are VERY thin and fire alarms go off in the middle of the night for no reason. Just don't live here.
I would be impressed if someone were able to find a more terrible complex to live at. They advertise a secure gated parking garage but the gate has been broken for at least 10 months. If you don't want your catalytic converters or your whole car stolen, don't live here. The hallways and stairwells are disgusting because people let their dogs use the restroom in them and don't clean up after and leave trash in them. The elevators are down constantly and the power goes out whenever there is strong wind. The amenities here aren't kept up with and it seems like a lot of the residents are just trashy and generally don't respect shared spaces. Living here is a lot like living in a college dorm. A really terrible low quality dorm where the dorm management doesn't do anything to fix any of the problems. I would recommend this place to someone if they like fire trucks though. They're here a lot since the fire alarms go off all the time.
When I first moved into the Westerly in May 2021, it was a five star property. Everything was clean, management was responsive and addressed any and all concerns, and the amenities on the property actually functioned correctly. Fast forward to the new management (current management), and this place became a HELLSCAPE. They began allowing college students to lease units, and just as you would expect, they treated it more like a dorm building than a luxury apartment complex. Extremely loud parties on weeknights, halls reeked of weed, trash everywhere, etc. The garage gate was broken for several months ( I assume it still is) making the garage incredibly unsafe. I asked management about this several times and was told "We are waiting on the new part to come from overseas." I'm sorry, last I checked, you can get a package from overseas within a week. It does not take MONTHS for one part to come in. In my opinion, they were just lazy. I mean every time I went down to the office the staff were always on their phones. Other things wrong with the Westely: -The pool noise and lack of any rule enforcement. People will throw parties of 10+ people at the pool on weekends, even though you are allowed two guests per unit. - Smell in the gym. Straight up smells like a sewer blew up in the gym. Again, management claiming they were fixing it, but nothing was done. I had to take out a gym membership because I could not workout at the Westerly without gagging from the horrific smell. -Trash rooms always overflowing. The trash shoots are so small that you can't fit a standard garbage bag when it is full. People just leave it on the trash room floor which smells up the hallways and invites in rodents. -Paper thin walls and floors. If you live on any floor besides the top, you will hear every footstep your neighbors take. I could go on and on because the Westerly just sucks that bad. However, nothing will be worse than Jeremey from the leasing office telling me he got a gun pulled on him in the parking garage. Please let that be reason enough to stay away from this HELLSCAPE of a place. Note to management- instead of commenting on here that you are making changes, actually make the changes people are requesting. Please get off your phones, put the airpods away and listen to what residents are saying. Thanks
Our first weekend after moving in last July was absolutely insane. The complex wasn’t completely full yet but there was a huge pool party going on well past the posted closing time. Someone brought a huge speaker to the pool and had no regard for how loud it was. At the same time, there was someone essentially receiving a lap dance in a pool chair. Wild scene as our first glimpse into how the place would be. Fast-forward to now, almost a year later, and not much has changed (less lap dances though, thankfully). There’s someone with a full DJ setup at the pool right now and it’s very loud. We understand that living next to a pool will have crowd noise and such but the music volume is just disrespectful especially since the complex has a no speaker policy. We also apparently have such great amenities that tenants from the neighboring complex come over here and use them. You’ve already read about the parking gate issue so I won’t add anything aside from saying that it’s still broken and unlocked. This place can be really nice if they can get people to follow their policies.
The catalytic converter was stolen from my parked car on the 5th floor (which should be secure) a day before my wedding. The parking gate has been broken for 9+ months and the managing company has not done anything to alleviate crime until the "parking gate part comes in the mail". They could have more cameras or onsite nightly security; we pay too much in rent to not be able to park cars here.
Please find another apartment to reside. This building is not luxury. Elevators are always down gate is always open. Gate is open and never fixed. The management is deplorable they are not good at upkeep. By upkeep I mean you don’t know anything about building updates until 3 hours before maybe less than that. This property is a joke. I dare anyone who tours ask someone if they are staying another year or moving out.
First off, I moved in this apartment as soon as it opened and it was awesome. Then the new management came in and messes it all up. Very poor staff in the front office that are just filled with sass and do not know how to handle residents. The garage has been broken for almost a year now and all the do to fix it is tow resident vehicles. Trust me you have a better chance spending your rent money on a house.
I searched for apts w my locator for over a month and this was the most fair priced taking in consideration the sq.ft., amenities, and that the internet is included. When I first applied, it was a bit hard getting replies to my emails but once I called and Jeremy, leasing, got my info, it was smooth sailing. He has made everything an easy process and made sure everything in my apt. up to my standard. The community is close to parks and the city, perfect location for someone like me with a dog and likes the city life! Everyone I've met so far has been so friendly. In my specific apt, I haven't heard much noise. Many of these reviews talk about issues of the garage, with having friends in DPD (the Dallas police dept.) and friends that work in other apt. communities (I have also worked in property mgmt for 6+ years), I know all of Dallas is getting hit with the same issue of non-residents getting in. I do hope the garage is fixed asap to try to limit this as much as possible but i understand crime happens in any kind of community. I also wish they had visitors check in to park in the garage to limit the same cars parking again and again. Overall, this is a great community in my opinion! Love my apt.
Parking is NOT GATED. It hasn’t been operable since October/November. I’ve had my truck windows blown out 2x, and both catalytic converters cut from my truck. My girlfriend has had her car window blown out 1x. There been an untold number of stolen vehicles, burglaries, thefts, and vandalism. Repairs to my truck have amounted to 28% more than my monthly rent. Don’t live here if you care for your safety and the safety of your property.
Look elsewhere. Amenities are great but man is this place trash. Car thefts, broken gate, elevators always down, smells terrible, thin walls and on top of all that.... neighbors are completely disrespectful. The neighbors play music with a subwoofer and yell loudly at 3 AM even on weekdays, and stomp like it's a concert. I can hear full on conversations because the neighbors yell so loudly at night. Neighbors even walk around fighting in the hallways late in the night. Good luck getting a good nights sleep in this complex. The walls are so thin you can smell the neighbors weed in your apartment. New management has done nothing to help often times not replying to my emails and hasn't even sent out a notice about not making noise after 10 PM. Trust me when I say your mental health will thank you for moving somewhere else.
I've been thru some really difficult parking spaces but the garage at Westerly has been the most difficult. The design is flawed whereas the lane is not big enough for two way traffic and an accident is going to happen. People speed around the corners and almost collide. I really like my apartment but I can't see myself living with the garage safety issue.
The complex was taken over by new management recently. Westerly was originally a five star property however, after it was sold it has turned into a one star complex (it's been about two weeks). The gate to the garage has not been fixed, the main elevator in the lobby is not working, the latch system from one of the hallways to the garage was not working this morning and finally the new front office staff is rude and unprofessional. My emails have not been responded to and the new app for rent management is also horrible. Westerly previously had an AMAZING maintenance team the the nicest front office staff it is saddening that they have gone. I will not be renewing my lease here. Please look elsewhere.
This Apts always smell bad, the electricity cuts on and off at any given time. The elevators never work in a building that stretches to the 7th floor. Ive been stuck in an elevator here before and the entire Thanksgiving holiday the elevator didn’t work. There’s a new guy in management that is very very rude. The only person who is nice in the office is Gabby. When my lease is up I’m out! Looks nice but once u move in u learn different.
This place smells bad. The elevators, garage, halls, and pool are never cleaned. There isn’t any security here(not even cameras). There have been several break-ins. My car was stolen. It’s beautiful and eye catching, but once you move in you’ll see what we are all trying to warn you about.

Westerly has exceeded our expectations in every way. Having to move across the country during a pandemic, the Westerly staff made it easy for us to virtually see the floor plans we were interested in and all of the luxurious amenities Westerly has to offer. They answered our many questions and made the lease selection and signing process very easy. Once we moved in and actually saw the property, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the space actually exceeded our expectations. No other apartment complex in Dallas could offer the spacious floor plan, community wifi, rooftop lounge, 2 story fitness center and poolside grills with a pizza oven for the price Westerly could.

I enjoy living here so far (one month in) I moved from a different state and didnt actually see the property until I arrived to move in. I moved here at the end of May and it’s been quite the experience. I love that it’s a new complex, new appliances, great location. But I’ve just experienced too many drawbacks. The overwhelming negative is the pee and poop everywhere. I’ve experienced it in the halls, elevator, and common areas. That’s more of a bad resident issue than with management I think? The residents also leave random trash on the floors and it will stay there for days so I’m starting to become concerned as to how often the hall and carpets are being cleaned. The walls on my hall are dirty. And the hallway tends to smell a bit and look so messy since residents leave their trash bins out all day instead of then assigned times. It’s so trashy. I called maintenance once and apparently it was an issue as I interrupted their dinner plans. So I’ve not called maintenance again, even through there’s an issue with my floor and my door. My last two emails regarding issues to the office have gone ignored (my neighbor went psycho all night so I had to sleep on my couch, and an issue with the pool). Also, I’m concerned with the vehicle thefts that the residents weren’t made aware of. There’s practically no lighting at night outside of the garage so that’s an additional thing that makes coming home feel extremely unsafe. As far as the amenities go, I really only use the gym as I’ve had issues with all the other ones. It’s great to see that some of the residents do care about their residence, but many don’t. Overall, I was expecting a better quality living space and sense of community. I want to love living here, but that hasn’t happened yet. Also, someone is bound to get hit in the parking garage with the way residents drive through there so fast.
This property fails to keep their residents safe. Multiple car break ins. Multiple vehicles stolen. The garage gate stays open and they do not fix it. The front door by the lobby is supposed to be closed after hours and only have access with a code or latch. It was open 2 nights ago. Giving anyone access to the apartments. The elevator by the parking garage never works. Cops are here almost every day. There should have been 24hr security hired after the second car was stolen. But noting. Cameras should be on every floor of the garage. I do not feel safe parking my vehicles in the garage anymore. This place was amazing when I first moved in. It’s gone downhill fast, and continuing to do so. There are more established apartments in the area that would be a much better option.

We have hired vendors to fix the gate and it does get fixed. Unfortunately with so many people utilizing the gate, accidents are bound to occur, and then we address and hire the contractor as soon as they are available to arrive. The reason you have seen an increased police presence is because we are taking additional measures in response to the issues you described like hiring 2 Dallas Officers to be our courtesy officers and have asked to increase patrols of our garage. Our elevator company and security company have been working on finding the solution for the elevator and a part is ordered that they believe will be the final fix. These are great apartments in an upcoming area. They are new so the complex is very polish. There can be minor issues but, the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.

The front desk staff are kind, professional, and helpful. But the construction quality of the apartment is disappointing. There are a lot of paint stain on the floor. There is dirt in the toilet that cannot be flushed away. There are brown stain in the bathtub that cannot be cleaned. The front door already had scratches before we moved in. Those details tell us that whoever works on this apartment has been sloppy and irresponsible.

Westerly is a fabulous place to live. It has the best staff that is so friendly and helpful. The amenities are wonderful, safety features are on point, and the location is awesomeliterally less than 10 minutes to get anywhere you would want or need to go.

Westerly seems great at first but the location has little to no walkability, the surrounding area has posed safety concerns, there is only one area on the entire property to throw away dog waste, there is no easy way to move through the community without taking out your phone and opening an app every few steps, and there is no easy way to allow guests or movers access to get to your apartment or move through the community. There were some things that I wish had been explained more clearly prior to move in. Staff is great and maintenance is quick to respond but the whole set up of the community is a bit flawed.

I love my apartment! The space, the view, the easy access to the freeway--the design of the place itself is also luxurious and carefully thought out. Staff is super nice and always willing to help with any questions you may have.

This is a beautiful, new property full of young people and friendly staff. The area is up and coming and close to everything you could need in the Dallas Metro. The apartments are in perfect condition and the ammenities that come along with your lease are unbeatable. WiFi, a 2 story fitness center, large pool, and tons of other items come along with your apartment and there is no other complex in the area where you can get this quality at this price. Have been here for about a month and am incredibly happy!

The best the dog spa, who has a dog spa! The gym is top notch, so many amenities to mention. The interior in the units colors and design are warm and inviting, the whole building is great! The location is great too, just outside of the hustle and bustle but one skip away from the highway and downtown. Great views of the city this review goes primarily to the Westerly staff, particularly Ray, Kristie and Gaby. I just moved here from Seattle and lived in many apartment communities and the Westerly are so attentive, respectful, and kind. If you're looking for a place close to downtown, a park, restaurants AND a harmonious and polished feel from the staff, this is the place to be.

A fresh approach to city living. Hidden behind Trinity Groves, but close to downtown, uptown and the Design District, this complex is a gem. Lots of work-out space, work spaces & a beautiful pool, this complex is full of all amenities and my favorite apartment that Ive lived in!
