Property Ratings at Westhaven Luxury Apartments
We lived in a 2 bd 2 ba for 15 months. Before moving in we read the reviews about how high the utilities are but thought "how bad could it be?" Turns out BAD. I have lived in the same size apartment in many complexes throughout Indy and even in town in Zionsville and utilities were always about the same - even in the middle of winter or summer my electric bill never got above $150-$160, water and sewage was around $55-$65. Our water sewage while at westhaven has pushed $100 more often than not and electricity was $250 3 months this past winter. The thermostat was set on 68. There are only 2 of us in the apartment and one travels constantly for work. Westhaven also has "valet" trash for $25 a month (plus $5 a month with your water and sewage bill) which sounds great - as long as you work a 9-5 job and can be home every night to put your trash out on time. You pay the $25 whether you use it or not. Spectrum is the cable and internet provider and its garbage. The complex itself is nice, leasing office staff are nice, units are spacious and have lots of windows. The pool is the best pool in any complex I've lived in but it's usually crowded. The fitness center leaves a lot to be desired, its one of the worst ones I've seen. The area is great and growing rapidly - right next door is meijer, mcalisters, and a handful of fast food. A couple stoplights up is a Lowes, CVS, and a handful of restaurants. If the utilities werent so high and they hadnt increased our rent so much at the time of renewal, we probably would've stayed.
