There is a serious problem with marijuana in this apartment complex. I sent them a lot of emails complaining about it for almost a year, I also called westlake emergency line and they never do anything. These people smoke at 2-5 am almost every day and I can't sleep, I get nauseous and they don't care, they only want their money and that's it. Update: After going to the leasing office and complaining, it keeps happening randomly during the day and night. They really don't care and the ones smoking are some disgusting people not caring about anyone else but themselves.

After applying for an application, that there should have been no reason I would be declined for, was told my application was denied. I reached out to see why. I was then contacted the same day by the office, they stated there was application glitch for applicants that had lived there before. they said they would be in contact with corporate to see if they could resolve this and push my application through and approve it. After several days of not hearing anything, I signed at a different property. I was then contacted by Westlake stating I was approved, and they ran my card for $300. After I requested it back, due to their mistake I was denied my holding fee back.... highly disgusted.

Thank you very much for reaching out. We are so sorry to hear about the confusion with your application, and we would be happy to look into the holding fee with you. Please contact us at feedback@edwardrose.com for further assistance. We wish you well.
Lived there for 3 years. Location is good, staff is friendly. However, please be aware that the property management might replace entire carpet and request for money on top of your full deposit after you move out. I admit that the carpet had everyday wear and tear but they call it 'damaged', ultimately replaced the whole carpet and not telling us before completing. We (Me and my roommate) got a quote of less than $200 to clean the carpet from Major carpet cleaning companies (provided them the photos that the property management sent us) but they replaced the entire carpet instead which cost more than $1,000. They do not seem like they are willing to discuss about this, by neglecting email or only asking us to pay the balance, but only to collect the money. It is understandable that they like to have next tenant to come in happy but looks very unreasonable to put it all on previous tenants' responsibility. We mentioned that we were willing to pay for the cleaning fee but there is definitely communication barrier between tenants and the management.

We're sorry that you felt this way about our community.
I've been living here for 4 years. I can't find another apartment that offers the same amenities for the same price. Pros: Location Pond Private entrance In unit washer and dryer Gas stove Cons: Limited non car port parking Thin walls
I have lived her for almost 4 years and I love it. The unit it's self is very spacious with full size washer and dryer among other amenities that are a bonus. The complex is very quiet. The staff at the office is nice and always greet's you with a smile when you have to go to the club house. The pool is always clean and the gym in the club house is convenient. The complex is conveniently located right off 94 and near a lot of stores and restaurants. I would recommend a friend to live here.
I have been staying at Westlake since July of 2014 and I have not had one single complaint. I love the friendly and helpful staff here and love the safety and aesthetics of the community. I feel secure coming home and enjoying the comforts of Westlake.

The other day I had an appointment with Ashly for a tour of Westlake Apartments. Ashly was very nice and helpful. She was informative and professional and made me feel comfortable to ask any questions I had. This community is beautiful both on the inside and outside and they have a lot to offer. After my tour I had no doubts whatsoever that this would be a great place to live.

This establishment has a very beautiful property and I was referred to them by their sister property Southport. However I am a bit skeptical because one of the leasing consultants Lindsey was not so friendly over the phone when I called, she seemed to be rushing our conversation & I could sense some annoyance in her voice when I was asking questions. I would just like to point out that the first interaction you have with someone is usually over the phone so you should try to be friendlier towards the consumer. Whoever is managing the company please have a talk with your employees about making interested buyers feel more comfortable and like their actually interested in helping them select a new home. Thanks

I love the leasing staff as they were always pleasant and readily available to help resolve any issues I had. My problem is not with the leasing office, it's with the corporate office. Thankfully, Tiffany and Linzie try their best and are 100% of the time always able to handle problems so I never felt I had to call up the chain; however, the move out process, the end of the line is completely out of their control and that is where the problems begin. I transferred apartments once and now moved out, both instances Edward Rose has made my transition difficult, not receiving paper work on time and not following through. The people at the corporate level takes no responsibility for anything and they bounce everything back to the leasing office, as if Tiffany, Linzie and the rest of the staff don’t have enough to do already? As if they're not selling the units that keep the people in the corporate office employed? Here's the bottom line: I absolutely love these apartments. The design of them are nice and my neighbors are very friendly. The apartments are conveniently located next to almost EVERYTHING! Heat is included and my DTE has never been outrageous, the highest bill being about $85 in the hottest months when my air conditioning was running all day. I recommend these apartments. If you can afford to spend the extra cash I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Your stay at Westlake will be amazing, the staff insures that it will be. I can't speak for all Edward Rose properties, but Westlake is one of the best. The units are clean, the appliances are upgraded, and the landscape is beautiful and kept up. The few times I had to call the maintenance team after hours they were there within minutes and happy to assist as if it's 2pm instead of 2am. The property manager and her staff are super personable and even with the many people they see each day Linzie and Tiffany DO NOT forget a face, you will feel like you're a part of a community at Westlake. Above all else the staff really does make this place what it is, my hope is that the higher ups will recognize that and stop passing the blame!!! The corporate office and their lack of professionalism does not taint the hard work the staff at Westlake has done in my mind. Westlake is one of the best places I've ever lived and I will recommend them to whomever is looking in the area, but corporate should do better or let Tiffany and Linzie run that part of the business too. Westlake apartments 5 stars. Edward Rose 0.

The apartment is going down they are steal tires off cars and starting to let anybody move in I'm looking for another place to mover to when my lease is up.
I love everything about this apartment. The amenities are great and it is generally very quiet. There are a lot of families, young couples and older individuals living here.
Finally after living in two apartments in Ypsilanti, I was able to find me a great apartment in Belleville. The management is very nice. The apartments are nice and spacious. I like how there's a gym and pool. The property is well kept. The only downfall I've had was noisy neighbors above me. I think the floors are too thin. Another plus is having shopping centers available just a walk away.

The Westlake apartments are a decent place to live. First off, the good. Westlake has a good location less than a mile from I-94 but it is far enough away that isn't much noise. The grounds are kept up pretty well and the neighbors are mostly quiet. Water and gas are included so winter utility bills are very modest. Now the problems. First off, the insides feel cheap. The door handles are all plastic and feel like they're going to break a lot. The appliances are old, but they work. Kitchens are small, but the living, dining and bedrooms are all a decent size. The large living room windows provide a nice view but give the apartment a large temperature difference. You cannot have cable in these apartments, it is limited to AT&T U-Verse. The problem with that is that everyone has the same router and the WiFi signal is very slow, even at full reception. The staff in the office are relatively helpful, but maintenance usually takes a while. Our air conditioner broke 3 times the first summer, and 4 times this past summer and it took them as long as a week to fix it one time. That is unnacceptable. Overall they aren't a bad place to live but there isn't anything that really sets them apart or worthy of even 4 stars.

I've lived at Westlake for a little over a year now (we moved in last July) with my fiancé. We are quite content living here and love our little home (2 bed, 1 bath). It is a quiet, beautiful community near many grocery stores, restaurants, and the express way. It's only a 5 minute drive to Canton as well. I like how close it is to the airport (but not TOO close) and how it's a relatively short drive to Ann Arbor or Detroit. Belleville seems to be a growing community which is always a great sign. We live here with our two cats who love looking outside at the pond in the backyard at the ducks, geese, other wildlife. Overall, we really enjoy living here. My only complaint is the lack of storage space in the apartments, the outrageous pet fees, and the cheap design of some of the parts of the apartment (closets, cheap carpet, etc.) Nevertheless, the pros outweigh the cons!
Westlake Apts. are a great place to live. Perfectly located off highway and near restaurants and shopping. Residents have complained about insects but we havent had an issue in the 3 years we have been here. We have had a few silverfish but we spray home defensed around doors and windows twice a year and have not had a problem. Anytime we've contacted the office or maintenance they are always reponsive. The cost, location, and size of the unit makes Westlake the best options for the area. It is a well maintained complex.
Westlake Apartments is a great place to live. I enjoy my apartment except for the thin walls. Each apartment looks at a lake in the middle of the complex, washer and dryer in each unit and very spacious living. The only thing I dislike is the thin walls. I can hear my neighbors above me all the time walk and do their thing. The neighbors below me always complain about my TV being loud and have called the police on me a few times. The officers come and laugh cause my TV isnt loud at all. But other than the thin walls, the complex is very clean, the staff is very nice and the complex is kept up well.
PROS: This is a pretty great apartment for being my first since college. It's in a safe and comfortable location, very close to more than one expressway and right across the street from a grocery store (which is incredibly convenient). The view out the sliding glass door in the living room overlooks a large pond which is frequented by ducks, geese and sometimes swans. Most utilities are included, and what isn't included isn't too expensive. The carpets are clean, the appliances are in pretty good shape and it's pretty spacious with plenty closets. CONS: The only cons I can think of is there isn't an outgoing postbox on the premises (although there is a post office less than a mile away), work-orders have to be made 24 hours in advance (unless it's an emergency) and we cannot have a barbecue on our porch. All in all, it's a great apartment for not only the first-time apartment-liver, but a family, single person or even a couple. Definitely would recommend.
