Property Ratings at Westlake Canyon
This property is beautiful and well maintained in a great area with beautiful hiking trails nearby. The apartments and community are very quiet. Charles is the property manager here and provides exceptional service and help from touring to leasing to move in date. He is prompt in his responses and incredibly pleasant to work with. This was by far one of the most pleasant moving experiences I’ve ever had, and it was a big move across the country too. Highly recommend this apartment complex.
Westlake Canyon Apartments is a nice, quiet place to live in Thousand Oaks. Prices are high but they are much higher elsewhere and the management team is the professional, responsive friendly. If ever any repairs are needed they are done quickly and well. Thank You!

Management and Maintenance are super friendly and very responsive. The Corporation would get a better review if landscaping were improved. The dead plants at the base of the stairways has been an ongoing issue from well before the pandemic.

Westlake Canyon Apartments could be a wonderful location but lack of community, High Rent, Management issues, Lack of Cell Service, Terrible Paint all come together to make an unpleasant living arrangement.
I have lived here at Westlake Canyon for 2 years. I hate to tell you all that this place has gone horribly down hill. When we moved in the place was kept up very nice and always clean. It was perfect for my daughter and I when we had to move into the area on short notice. Shortly after we moved in the place began to go from good to bad. In an effort to squeeze every penny of profitability out of the place, the property management company (Sares-Regis) terminated the property manager on site and now all correspondence has to go through the larger apartment complex down the street and around the corner. Two and a half weeks ago my washing machine quit working so I got in the car and drove to the other apartment complex and spoke to the property manager face to face. She assured me the washing machine and one other small issue I had would be taken care of within 48 hours. Well here we are… 2 ½ weeks later and nothing has been fixed. I’ve left messages, two emails and I’ve received no reply. ZERO. Additionally, they have continued to raise the rent. Now up to $2,300 for my ordinary 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. Which is about the most expensive in the immediate area. No thanks Westlake Canyon, I’m moving out. Good luck.
