A vibrant gem in the heart of the prairie, Des Moines is named for the river that snakes through the city. This is Iowa's capital (and the county seat of Polk County), and it is filled with things to do. From concerts at the historic Salisbury House to the collections at Des Moines Art Center, and from the 81 miles of hiking and biking trails to the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens, Des Moines offers so much that it was named one of the top 10 cities in which to live by US News.
Home to such companies as Meredith Corporation, Wells Fargo, Voya Financial, and Principal Financial Group, Des Moines is considered one of the nation's wealthiest cities. But you'll also have fun after moving to your Des Moines apartment -- the city offers amazing shops and restaurants in East Village, the nearby Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, the family-friendly Adventureland Park, and the fascinating Living History Farms.

Property Ratings at Weston Park Apartments
I would not live here if you are considering it. The maintenance team entered my home without calling me my first month of living here. I could not access the "24/7" gym for three months of living here. The second pool near my apartment hasn't been open all summer. Parking is ridiculous. There were no more available resident parking spots available, and my car was towed for being in visitor parking when I had no other choice. I had to pay $180 of my own money to get my car back, and I was late for work because of it. They will not compensate me for it. They claim the towing company is to "help residents"; however, you still will never have available parking near your apartment. Not to mention the many bugs, my kitchen ceiling fan hanging halfway off the ceiling, my kitchen floor bubbling up and folding in on itself, and my deck having a piece of wood hanging off of it. People always complain of packages being stolen, and if you have an issue, management will not call you back. Please listen to me when I say, this is not a good place to live at.

One of the top reasons I still reside at Weston Park is the responsiveness of the maintenance team to requests. It doesn't matter how large or small, the respond in a timely manner and are always friendly and professional.
Great property steps out there way to do things other complexes would never
Nice and friendly neighborhood also a great location!
Weston park apartments are in poor condition. My apartment is near the entrance door and I can hear the door slam every time someone enters or leaves. The main entrance door is horrible. There is a gap in the door. Which cause my door to rattle when the main entrance door closes. The hallways are horrible and need to be re-painted. Not really a great place to live.
Hi have lived at Weston park for 1 1/2 years almost and the staff are great and maintenance gets to you within 1-2 days overall its a great place!
i have only been a resident for less than 7 days. my experience so far has been very good
Kind staff, beautiful upgraded and spacious apartment.
I've really enjoyed my five years living at Weston. The staff is always great to communicate with and the maintenance team is friendly and always fixes any issues in a very timely manner. The apartments are spacious and clean and they do a great job addressing any issues that may arise.
Brandon M. In the office has the best customer service skills I have ever encountered. Likewise, Curtis provides superior service for any and all maintenance issues. The only reason why Im moving out of this complex is because I have to move to a different city. I have been nothing but pleased to live here.
Great renovated appartments, spacious, friendly and timely maintance
Good experience! Staff is awesome, very polite and although I've had a lot of questions (just a me thing) they always answer promptly and help me out!
This is a beautiful community, and so far all of the neighbors I have met have been really nice.
Friendly and professional staff but apartments needs attention and repairs.
Its a very peaceful environment & a lovely place to call home.
They have done a lot of work around the complex . Landscaping and lighting which is great.
Great location, ease of monthly payments on app. Great package delivery options. Friendly staff and tenants.
I’m so glad that I made the right decision by living here at Weston Park Apartments. The price for the location is unbeatable and it is located in a nice quiet neighborhood suitable for everyone. One of the things that makes my time here at Weston so enjoyable is working with their staff. The maintenance guys are always on top of all work orders and very pleasurable to work with and the office staff defies all negative connotations about working with landlords. I would recommend Weston Park to all!
You get what you pay for. Relatively decent area to live, and affordable. Those are the highlights. The staff is atrocious, and completely unprofessional. Fees will get added on randomly, and 'valet' trash is $50 a month. Hey thanks but I can gladly walk 55 feet to the trash and throw it away myself. Forgot to pay rent 1 day and was charged $100. After looking at the lease it said max $20 a day. When calling in and speaking with a "manager", Kelsey, she was extremely rude and stated "no it's $100" and then hung up. Stay away from these blood suckers.
We had one of the worst experiences with this staff. We were on a bottom floor unit and had continuous water damage and leaks in our ceiling. It would always get to the point that the ceiling fell in where the water kept dripping. We had called it into maintenance multiple times throughout the time we lived there which was less than a year. It was clear that the hole had also been patched before. Every time we called it in, maintenance would come and patch over the hole again without finding where the leak was coming from and fixing the source of the problem. Then we had a severe thunderstorm and the ceiling fell in even more and part of the wall fell as well. This revealed the MOLD that was growing in the wall. Who knows how long we were living with that growing in the walls. Our carpet was soaked and the adjacent bedroom carpet was affected as well. We had to get an attorney involved so that we could break our lease without wasting any more money on them. Come to find out, they still tried to file collections on us to collect on the remainder of our lease. This staff is either extremely unorganized or completely incompetent, but probably both. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. You can also find places that cost just as much but are in much better condition. This management should be ashamed of how they conduct themselves.
Lived here since January and haven't had a problem with pests of any kind, or any real maitnance problems. Apartments are also pet friendly with a dog park near by. Management is friendly and always helpful with anything while Maitnance is always fast at responding to problems. Apartments are in a great location, Only a short drive to downtown, West Des Moines, and the interstate. Also close to Water Works Park and Grays Lake, which means plenty of places for biking or walking. Overall very happy with everything from Rent and location, to staff and and pest control
Convenient department amongst mature trees and quiet at night. It has two pools, the workout facility, and a dog park. Management is helpful and friendly. I'm very glad I chose to rent here.
I've lived here for 2 months and have found leasing staff to be friendly and receptive. Lots of renovations going on from exterior, landscaping to exercise room. Maintenance staff have been VERY responsive so far. I still have a dog or cat urine smell even after carpets cleaned but better than before they were cleaned. So far I am pleased.
I have lived in Weston Park for two years now. The location is great! You are 5 minutes from down town and about 10-15 minutes from West Glenn/Jordan Creek. The free parking is another great bonus. I had looked long and hard before making the move to Weston Park. This place is definitely the biggest bang for your buck if you are wanting to live in Des Moines. Management and maintenance staff are all very friendly and great to work with! Also, the apartment has great amenities(fitness center, pool, basketball court, pet play ground, etc). Overall this is a great place to live- if you're looking for a new apartment it is definitely worth checking out!
I moved here to Weston Park 1 year ago. I am pleased with the service and respect I get here from the Maintenance and Office Staff. This community is far better then the other one I came from. The buildings are a little outdated however I have a updated apartment. The property is currently undergoing renovations and I am looking at transferring into one of the new units next month when they are completed. I have been told they are getting all brand new appliances, all new carpet and wood floor and all new cabinets and even getting granite. Here is too another year at Weston Park!
I live in the north complex, and the second farthest back. Our building, though dated, has a beautiful wooded view. The grounds are well kept, and in the summer, the pool is generally not super busy, so it's easy to get chairs. It is apartment living, so naturally there will be times you hear your neighbors, but it's not often UN my building.
I have lived here for a few years. Location is great - near bike trails and parks. Nice neighborhood. Room for improvement as far as updates and scheduled maintenance. Overall, a pleasant experience.
The revolving management between BH Management properties is frustrating and I often feel like I need to get to know several people to solve frequent issues. They are late to leave notices when entering the apartment, and have done nothing of our complaints that someone is stealing our notes. Beyond that we have had issues with previous members of management in terms of professionalism and problem solving. Overall it seems to be the average run of the mill complaints of apartments.
I have a nice 1 BR with new carpet and flooring through out. This complex is pet friendly and has lots of open space for them, there are two pools, a nice fitness center and is close to downtown.
The apartment was going through upgrades. We waiting an extra 2 weeks for the apartment to be done, but they were amazing getting all of the extra amenities and upgrades done for us. Awesome staff.
