Norristown is a suburban community that really is close to everything: Philadelphia is only about 45 minutes away by car, and SEPTA rail service is available from multiple stations around town. In addition to the convenient proximity to the big city, Valley Forge National Historic Park and King of Prussia Mall are practically right next door.
Closer to home, Main Street and Marshall Street are home to several locally-owned shops and restaurants in an attractive, walkable setting, with many historic buildings nearby as well. Attractions such as Elmwood Park Zoo and large parks like Norristown Farm give residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy time outdoors, right in their own backyard.

Property Ratings at Westover Club
Dekalb Apartments is a great place to live. We had a power outage the other night and it lasted about 24 hrs. Maintenance and the management team were awesome. They all kept us up todate about what peco was doing. The maintenance supervisor Mike the maintenance Technician Brian the maintenance Technician Rodney and the head of maintenance Dominic did an excellent job on the power outage. I am very happy with everything that they did. I definitely was to say a big Thank You to Maintenance Technician Brian. When he was on Fire Watch he made sure that the residents were doing ok and he asked any residents that was standing outside there door or that was in the lobby if there is anything that he could do. Brian is definitely a great Maintenance Technician. He is one of the Best Maintenance Team member that Scully has at Dekalb.
This has been my home for 28 years and I guess that in itself speaks volumes! The staff is most co-operative and strive to maintain a relationship with its tenants; if there is a problem or concern, they try to remedy it in a reasonable amount of time and to everyone's satisfaction - not everything is perfect, it never is - there are quite a few people to satisfy in this combined community, however, somehow, it works. It's not easy trying to please everyone, but I congratulate the staff for all they do. I love living and working in this small town atmosphere and yet, it's close to everything I want; i.e., shopping, getting to and from major expressways, not just for traveling -- but work and everything this community has offer.
My place is pretty good. Maintainace is there same day if yu need anything done. It has 2B, 2Ba and a balcony. All the amentities you need. Across from a golf course and close to everything.
I love it here, beautiful neighborhood, nice residents. Only complaint is you can hear other resident's televisions/music periodically but that's expected with renting. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
I moved to Westover Apartments In March of 2012. I am very happy here. The layout of the apartment is perfect for my needs. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I have suggested renting here to quite a few people. One has moved in and they also are very pleased. The apartment entrances and laundry rooms are kept very clean. The maintenance staff is quick and very helpful. I plan on staying here forever.
If you are looking for a great place to live, look no further than Westover Club Apts. It is located is West Norriton Twp, convenient to major highways, a stone's throw from a bike trail, and steps from a golf course. The friendly staff is helpful whenever you need service. The apartments are clean and has great amenities. It's definitely worth checking out!
Three years ago my wife and I moved into the Westover in apartments. We had done a lot of searching for a place that would meet our needs such as per friendly, fairly sound proof, not knowing whom our neighbors may be, as well as good location. As a bonus it is located directly across the street from a fairly nice, however expensive, golf course and quiet neighborhood. On the downside the rent has gone up significantly from the time we have moved in until now (3 years later) with no additional renovations or improvement to the complex itself. While the location is good the traffic associated with it due to construction and overall volume of cars is atrocious. To go a mile may take 15-20 minutes at the height of rush hour. The neighborhood is very serene and quiet. However, a company has offered to buy the golf course and put in a sports complex the neighborhood have been fighting it for the last three years. We always had planned on moving so this wasn't an issue for me. Worst experience I had was this past winter when the management staff and maintence let them selves into my apartment while I was away. They said it was an emergency due to cold weather and pipes freezing. However, I work in construction and I know that when it is terribly cold it is good practice to leave a small amount of water running so the pipes won't freeze I had my sink faucet running. When they entered they left my living room lights on went into my bathroom turned the hot water on in my tub. As well as leaving my outside closet door open exposing the copper pipes and hot water heater to extreme cold temperatures. Some amenities that you get in the apartment are not having to pay for cold water. But you pay for the gas to heat your hot water heater. So for 12 hours I was constantly using gas to heat the hot water tank. Which I was later compensated for by the owners of the Westover club apartments, scully company.
I have been living at Westover Club apartments for over 5 years now. It has been the best complex I've ever lived at. First and foremost, the setting is wonderful. It is nestled away from any hustle and bustle, on the perimeter of a golf course and wooded area. After moving in, I immediately met great neighbors who became friends. We have each other over, do dinner, go out and relax by the pool together. There is a great variety of people of all ages and backgrounds. The apartments have central air which is one of the best features. It is spacious, priced well and the maintenance team is stellar. Any maintenance request I have submitted has been attended to immediately, meaning the same day. The office staff is friendly and they seem to care about their residence. The pool area is beautiful, tucked away with a wooded area behind. It has a concrete deck around with lounge chairs, which is a big plus as I can't stand sitting in grass around a pool. The only negatives, which most aren't the fault of the management is there are a lot of bugs. Many days I am swatting wasps away if standing in the grass too long or coming too close to a tree, nest or bush. I am sure being so close to the river and being surrounded by open fields, golf course and woods is the main factor. It would be ideal if they sprayed a bit before summer months and possibly halfway through the summer. Mosquitos are abundant and largely due to the surroundings. I still would take the nuisance because the beautiful setting outweighs the insect issue. Also, it seems that they tend to raise the rent each year, which is common, but to me it feels a bit drastic. They should practice industry standard and raise tenants rent a small amount ($10-$20) annually. You can't move someone in at one price and increase renewal so drastically because the market demand increases or there are not a lot of available units. It should increase slowly and go off of what the tenant is currently paying and not what a unit is currently renting at. That is not fair and is not best practice for industry standard. The only other complaint is the end of year bbq is on a Friday at the pool. People who use the pool every weekend and are loyal tenants should be the purpose of this bbq (also to bring all residents together socially). However, they seem to have it on a Friday during the day when most people work. That is a bit lame and seems like a way to reduce cost. We all pay a decent rent and it should be a thank you!
This apartment is Clean, Quiet, and Spacious...it is pet friendly has very friendly neighborhood. I LOVE IT....It has plenty of parking for anytime of the day...the site is beautiful and green..not too far from Valley Forge walking trail....
My Apartment, rather call it as my home, is beautifully located with a very nice amount of Natural light coming inside the apartment whole day. The layout of the apartment is optimum for me. We have the option of decorating the apartment however we wish to. The maintenance and facilities team is very quick and co-operative in addressing any concerns. To add to it, we have a lot of open shared parking space which is available throughout the day. The locality is very nice, quiet and secure with a beautiful Golf Course view on 2 sides, a swimming pool and a beautiful river trial nearby on the Schuylkill river. I have been staying here for more than 4 years and have never found any issues. I love my apartment.
My 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment is my sanctuary. The staff is so caring and helpful and the amenities on-site are amazing. I enjoy our pool and the location of my apartment complex is straight bliss. I love walking around the beautiful complex with my son and enjoying the scenery. [The sunsets here are to die for!] I am so extremely happy and pleased with my apartment that I can not imagine myself living anywhere else!
I moved out here from Philadelphia 4 months ago and absolutely love the area. Apartments are across from a Golf Course, walking distance to the Schuykill River Trail, pet friendly, neighbors are very friendly and it is a quiet area. Rent is fair. Couldn't be happier.
The staff at Westover are great! We've never had any issues. If there was a maintenance problem, it was addressed immediately. The apartments are very nice and spacious as well. Neighbors are great. If people had friends over, I could hear it in the hallway walking to my door, but as soon as I was in my apartment, I couldn't hear anything.
i've live at Westover Club Apts for the past 8 years and have to say this is a great place to live. Management is great. If ever there is a problem they are always there to help. Quick and friendly.
Living here is great, I suggest to all new renters that the best time to look for a new apartment is in the winter, they are a lot cheaper for a nice size compared to the rent amount in the summer!! Make sure you ask what's included in the rent and what's not because that adds on to the amount you would need to budget in each month !!
I moved here about a year ago and it was the first time ever to move into an apartment complex. Even though it was a bit of a transition, it was the best decision I ever made. The people are so welcoming every day, like a community should be. Also, it has a lovely trail that in the spring time beautiful flowers bloom that fragrant the air leading you to the Schuylkill River. Great for early workouts in the morning and not to mention one of the best golf courses in the area. The exciting part for summer, Westover recently renovated their pool and its absolutely beautiful making it friendly to you and your guests. Lastly, I am glad I chose this area because I met my boyfriend, my best friend and future husband here.
I've been living here for four years now. They have reasonable living arrangements. They offer different types of settlement for deposit when signing a contract which for me was suitable since I did have first month but didn't have second month rent so they worked things out. I love how they handle the maintence request they always fix things in a timely manner. I wouldn't have it any other way with any other apartment complex.
