The King of Prussia/Norristown region lies approximately 20 miles to the north and west of Philadelphia. The extensive development that this area has gone through since the 1960's has made it a perfect place for professionals seeking worthy employment prospects, without having to resort to living in the big city.
The Valley Forge/King of Prussia area stands as a perfect example of an edge city, a situation where the most prosperity and growth can be seen less in the urban center (in this case, Philadelphia) and more in the areas on its periphery. King of Prussia/Norristown lays claim to the largest shopping mall in the United States, King of Prussia Mall, as well as many of Montgomery County's largest employers. Interstate 276 bisects the area, making it easy to commute for work or leisure.

Property Ratings at Westover Village Apartments
My wife and I have lived here for about 3 years. We love it here. Safe neighborhood. Walking distance to Norristown Farm Park, which is beautiful. Grounds are well maintained. Maitenence men are friendly and prompt with repairs, and changing the air conditioner filters every 6 months. This apartment complex is very dog friendly, have several waste bins with dog bags provided. The dogs that live here are friendly and well behaved, never had an issue with noise. Since the electric power lines are underground, we have never lost power here, which is amazing! Our first floor one bedroom apartment is perfect size for the two of us.
We rent a 2 bedroom apartment from Westover Village. for the price, this is a great complex to live in. they allow both cats and dogs (which is rare in this area). I love the pool-the lifeguards are friendly and it's usually not very crowded. maintenance has been great...we had a few issues when we first moved in, including an emergency call because we had no hot water, and they responded quickly and did everything they could to help. the best part about living here is the QUIET. the walls/floors are concrete, so it acts like soundproofing. the only time I hear my neighbors are when they are outside and my windows are open. other than that, I rarely hear anything. this was a huge concern for us before we moved b/c the BF has insomnia issues, but this has not been a problem. the leasing office staff is nice and helpful, but they can be disorganized sometimes. I find that if I need something done, I have to remind them before it gets done. not a big deal, but could be better.
we moved to Westover Village apartments because the price was right, and I'm really glad we did! this complex is so quiet, which I didn't expect given the location. the walls & floors are concrete, so it basically sound-proofs everything. lots of closet space, which was an issue where we lived before. I even have a linen closet now! I love the pool - it's kept well and the lifeguards are friendly. the property is nice and regularly maintained. the patio attached to each apartment is far bigger than any other complex around. we have a small garden of potted plants, 3 chairs, a table, and still have room left over! there's also an outside storage space. bonus that you can have pets - cats & dogs - for a little extra rent each month. I like that all my mail and packages are delivered right to my door-no post office to pick anything up at. ample parking for you and any guests. never had an issue finding a spot. the only complaint would be that the staff at the leasing office can be a bit unorganized at times and we have to follow up with them more often than not before things get done. no issues with maintenance though- they have been quick and helpful when we needed them. it seems that apartments in the complex fill up fast, and I can see why. for what we pay, I love what we get!
This apartment complex is reasonably priced and located close to King of Prussia and Philadelphia. The apartments are decent for the price, but there are some issues owing to the age of the buildings and the management of the complex. There are numerous laundry rooms at the facility, and there is generally not too long of a wait for a washer/dryer. The apartments also have a nice pool area, which they share with the neighboring condo complex. The apartments all have central heating and air conditioning, but you can expect to pay for it in heating and cooling costs, owing to the lack of maintenance on the HVAC systems. Also, because of a design flaw in the heating system, which uses hot water to heat the ducts, you have to turn off the heat before taking a shower or you'll run out of hot water. Additionally, parking can be a problem. There are more cars than spaces, so some people create their own spaces. Additionally, because the spaces aren't assigned, expect to lose any space you shovel free in the winter. On the whole, the complex is average to fair, but not bad for the price, which is significantly higher in a lot of areas close to the apartments.
I've been a resident of westover village apartments for 2 months now and absolutely love it. My second-floor, 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and the floors are concrete so i dont have to worry about my son disturbing the neighbors downstairs. Every unit has a huge balcony or patio and central air. The pool and playground are great, and parking is plentiful - every unit gets at least one space. You can pay rent and request maintenance online which is super convenient. Affordable, but doesn't feel cheap. Highly recommend
