The Delta Township is a tight-knit community only 10 minutes west of the heart of Lansing. The town is split by Interstate 69 and the western section is made up of lush natural areas while the eastern section consists of residential areas and commercial developments. Renters will find affordable apartments, townhomes, and houses available for rent.
Events bring the community together and take place throughout the year. Families and individuals enjoy peaceful parks along the Grand River, located along the northern border of town, and residents head to West Saginaw Highway (Highway 43) for a plethora of shopping and dining choices at places like Lansing Mall and the Marketplace at Delta Township. While this amenity-laden town has a lot to offer within, residents can easily travel outside of town to visit other parks and trails along with popular places like Capital Region International Airport and Downtown Lansing.

Property Ratings at Westwind Townhomes
These townhomes are very old and have not been properly maintained. All the appliances are falling apart, and any repair work they do is shoddy and incomplete. They chose to redo the siding on our unit during the winter time, leaving us without proper insulation during the cold months. The parking is incredibly limited. Their online billing does not show a charge until after it is due, presumably to hit you with as many late fees as possible. Don't live here if you have any other option.
Awful management! They will ignore maintenance requests, and it takes forever to get anything done. Also , the utilities ARE NOT included in the rent. You will have to pay for everything, water, trash removal, electric, gas and water. They do not update the apartments, just continually increase rent. Over the last year, my rent here has went up by over $60 month. You are better off renting a house or purchasing one than living in these townhouses. I will be moving out when my lease is up.
If you live here , or are thinking about it, some words of advice: -DOCUMENT EVERYTHING-! When you move in, take pictures! (They will charge you whatever they can when you move out, including $2 a nail hole for hanging up pictures.) If there's some mold growing in your basement from a leak in the wall. Don't worry, you'll be reassured that you can bleach that yourself. Be careful of paying your rent online. It's not 100%. It will say your rent has been received, but you'll find out they weren't actually taking it. Better just take a check in to the office (IF it's open). Be careful talking anything private with the office manager. She doesn't understand the concept of being a professional as she enjoys gossiping about the residents there and is extremely condescending. After you pay your rent, make sure you get your receipt. She sometimes loses rent, and then will charge you a late fee. She will try to cover herself by having you come into her office to help her "look", and then talk down to you the entire time. This is a fun waste of time because at this point, she's already lost it. (Don't bother talking to her manager about anything either, she honestly doesn't have a clue how to do her job either.) When you move out, make sure you document WHEN you move out. Get written proof that you turned your keys in. Otherwise the office manager will write up a fraudulent itemized damages report. Fun fact! She doesn't actually know how to write up an itemized damages report, but will try to make it look like you moved out a whole two months after you did by writing up a bunch of random dates and numbers. Your total damages might not even make sense after you've added and subtracted all those numbers. Don't worry! When you ask for clarification, she will have it sent to a debt collection agency who will demand you pay it! But since you were smart, you have proof you moved out two months earlier. Remember, MI law states itemized damages must be received within THIRTY (30) days AFTER you move out! You can send that to their attorney, and they will mail you back your deposit. Good luck out there!
I lived in these town homes back in the late 1990's. There were nice back then and expensive for the time. Two years ago we to move quickly when we moved back from Florida and ended up "HERE"! Everything is exactly the same - no updates, no worthwhile office or maintenance people, repair requests go unheeded, and weeds clutter our front steps and will soon be as tall as trees. It is embarrassing to live here! We will be looking for someplace else to live at the end of March 2016!!!!!!
