Property Ratings at Westwood Chateau Apartments
I spent three years living hear and never had one thing to complain about, the community was chill and so was Jess the land lord. It was a clean and friendly environment for families/kids and adults to hang out in the communal area with some of my favorite moment being getting to meet new neighbors around the fire pit. The units were clean and well kept up and any repair issues that did crop up were attended to quickly.
I lived in Westwood Chateau for 6 years. In that time, I really had no issues to speak of. The building and units are kept up well, the landlord, Jess, is awesome, and the location is fantastic! Everyone that lives here is nice and it's a good community. Also, being within walking distance of a Walgreens and some restaurants is nice, so that you don't need to hop in your car if you want a snack or some dinner. West End is also being built up, so this is only about a mile away from a ton of dining options as well as being near Knollwood mall and having good freeway access. The bus routes are also pretty good for a tucked away suburb like this and the property sits right on a park and has some good areas to go for walks! I'll certainly miss living here, I just needed to find some more space elsewhere.
Jess, the property manager, is amazing. The apartments are great, priced reasonably, in a great location and SAFE. I’ve lived here two 1/2 years and loved it. All amenities are close by and it’s centrally located in relation to anything you want to do in the city. You’re just an Uber ride away or metro transit is right around the corner. Seriously, this is a great place to live.
These apartments are fine for the price and you're close to 3 major highways, shopping at The Westend, and it's only 10 minutes to downtown. What really set this place apart is the incredible property manager Jess. My gf and I only stayed as long as we did because of her and the incredible work she has put in. There are a LOT of long term residents who talk and gather frequently, giving WC a family feel. If you are quiet and respectful of your neighbors you are guaranteed to fit in and make new friends. The property owners need to invest in some much needed upgrades but all in all you could do a lot worse in the same neighborhood.
I lived here one here (2019-2020) and enjoyed it immensely! Neighbors are respectful and kind. The property and courtyard are well-kept, quiet, and beautiful. The apartments are spacious and the balconies and patios are an incredible feature! The garage option is also a great feature. Jessica, the property manager, does a great job maintaining the place and any maintenance requests (not many) were tended to in a very timely manner. Highly recommend!
I lived here for 10 years and loved it! Only reason I moved was because I got into a position where I was able to buy, if it wasn't for that I'd still be living here. Just recently moved out (1/2020). The neighborhood is safe. The courtyard in the back is beautiful, lush, green, and very well maintained. There is a fire pit and a couple of gas grills. Neighbors are friendly and respectful. Jessica, the manager, lives on site and works hard to keep the building and grounds clean and neat. She's very friendly and on-top of tenant's requests and maintenance issues. Yes, they are older buildings. Realistically, you're not going to get a completely modernized apartment with all the bells and whistles, at this price in this location...but if you are looking for a safe, clean, quiet, and well maintained apartment in up and coming St Louis Park, 10 minutes from downtown Mpls, this is your place!
I lived in the Westwood Chateau Apartments for 2 years. The building is a little older and there were 1 or 2 maintenance issues while I was there, but they were always resolved quickly by the on-site building manager, Jess. She is very responsive and willing to grab packages and answer any questions. The buildings are well-cared for and the price for the location was a steal. It's just over a 10 minute drive to get to downtown Minneapolis and 5 minutes to the Westend Shopping area or Target on Hwy 7. There's a gas fire pit in the quiet courtyard - perfect for entertaining and there are a few walking and biking trails nearby. Highly recommend!
