I am delighted to share my positive experiences as a current resident of Westwood Place Apartments in Fort Washington, Maryland, especially under the new management team. Since their arrival, this community has transformed into an even more inviting and enjoyable place to live. Under the new management, the positive changes have been evident from day one. They have brought a fresh perspective and a renewed commitment to creating an exceptional living environment for all residents. The improvements in maintenance and service are striking. The new team is incredibly responsive, ensuring that any concerns or maintenance requests are addressed promptly and efficiently. It's reassuring to know that they genuinely care about our comfort and satisfaction.
All the bad reviews you're reading are very true. Communication during the application process was horrendous. I was very confused. Every question I had could not be answered whatsoever by the leasing agent i was dealing with. I was denied for not being able to make at least $5,000 a month, but definitely have an income to pay $1,500 or more each month. That was a reach! THE APARTMENT IS NOT EVEN RENOVATED FOR ALL OF THAT!!! THE HARDWOOD FLOOR PICTURES ARE NOT REAL!!! If i could give 0 stars, I would. Save your time, energy, and money for somewhere else.
i frequently visit my friend on a weekly basis and i have seen approximately 2x glass in the parking lot from vehicle break in. Also, my friend owned a Audi A6 Coupe as an optional car. He came home one night and his rims were stolen. leasing office stated they didnt have cameras on that side of the building. There is definitely an issue with vehicle break ins at this apartment complex. Management needs cameras at his complex.
I visited this property thinking that the photos above were the actual unit. Only to find out that the unit advertised is not on the market, in fact there's only 2 units in the complex with hardwood floors. It was extremely disappointing and somewhat inconvenient. It's vital that you advertise what you're selling.
I called to inquire about possibly moving here because I loved the fact of the location and that All utilities were included. That's not exactly true because you have to pay a minimum of $40.00 for water depending on household occupancy and $6.00 for trash. Right after it said "All utilities included", it should've said except water and trash. I would not have had a problem if it was fully advertised on the websites of these charges. I was getting excited about this possibly being my choice of my new home. A security deposit of minimum of $800. That's very high considering that the complex is not fully renovated. All I am saying is that apartment locations need to be fully honest with the financial aspects that new residents can make their decisions as opposed to finding out stuff later.

I do believe that even including the water and trash monthly our rental rates are lower than other complexes in the area. We do not want any future resident to feel that they are not receiving full information from the website outlets that use. Love it here!!! Yes they could improve the appearance and performance of the elevator but that would be my only complaint! It is in a quiet and convenient area. Its a 10 min ride from the harbor and outlets. 30 min drive to Downtown DC (No Traffic)! The building management is awesome! If there is a maintenance issue it is repaired in a very timely manner. The hallways are cleaned daily! The laundry room is huge and always clean. The Apartments are very spacious. The susnset at night is amazing from my balcony. And let me not forget the AMPLE parking.
I can't live here anymore rundown apt and neighborhood don't move here.

Moving in there were several maintenance issues that should have been corrected before moving in(no hot water in kitchen sink,clogged shower). They could improve the appearance and performance of the elevators but it is a Great area! Very quiet not a lot of commotion. Closet spaces are wonderful and spacious master bedroom, beautiful view, nice sized pool, laundry room is convenient, plenty of parking, and vending machines for late night snackers! Lol
