Property Ratings at Westwood Riviera Apartments
My stay at Westwood Riviera was nothing short of amazing. My SO and I stayed here roughly a year as my SO was finishing up grad school @ UCLA. Specifically, we needed a place that would allow us to live and work stress-free .. with no music being blasted through paper thin walls at 2 AM till the wee hours of the morning and no enforcement by building management beyond repeated "warnings". We found a quiet, beautiful sanctuary here at Westwood Riviera. During our time here, Nina (management) was responsive and attentive and set us up to succeed! Even when we needed to suddenly extend our lease, this was a painless process. If there was any sort of renovation or construction or need to enter our unit, it was always communicated well in advance - never any surprises. All of our maintenance requests were handled quickly and efficiently. Amenities here are nice (the gym is fantastic!). The residents I've met here have been down to earth, and certainly respectful of noise after hours! Lastly - I credit my first (and many more) good night's sleep in Westwood to Westwood Riviera.
I lived with my wife and teenager daughter for about an year there, and the building has been completely refurbished and renewed in this period! It is well located, twenty minutes walking distance from UCLA and the Westwood´s middle school. Westwood Village is very charming with all services around. The building is clean, tidy and organized. The appartments are spacefull, with garage, modern gym room, swimming pool, sauna, commom laundry area per floor, and controlled access. Nina, the manager, is a very nice person and a very good professional in dealing with the everyday´s routine in the building organization. The maintenance staff is really good and Mr. Carlos is a senior professional that really takes care of the tennants in a very simpathetic way! Miss L.A.! Missing Westwood, The Riviera and The Village! Enjoy your stay!!
I had the best time of my life living in Westwood Riviera. The staffs are amazing. They get things done right away. It is a quiet building, good neighborhood and a safe and convenient location. I lived here for 10 years and really sad that I had to move to another city.
I have lived here a while and yes, renovations have taken a bit longer than approximated but having experienced with construction projects elsewhere in the past, there is no guarantee they they are completed on the exact date originally scheduled. I also have never heard of a quiet renovation with tools that don't make noise. It's just reality. The tenants I know on my floor have all remarked how responsible management is here. Now that renovations are in their finishing stage and seeing the results, I will say the Westwood Riviera is now better than ever.
This place used to be good however after the construction it has quickly gone done hill. The renovation has taken ten times longer than what was originally told and has made living here feel like you are constantly in a construction zone. It’s been borderline hazards and management has shown no respect to the current tenants that live here.
The Westwood Riviera apartments are close and convenient to UCLA. There are several nearby supermarkets, malls, restaurants etc. The building is approximately 4 miles from Santa Monica pier. Overall, the building would get a 6.5 out of 10 pimarily due to its age and the fact that there are only 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom lofts and studio apartment units available. There is a small pool, a small spa and a gym on the ground floor. Most of the time, these can be used without numerous participants. This building was chosen mainly due to its location and proximity to UCLA and the 405 freeway.
