We are so glad to hear that you are enjoying your home and our team's service! Thank you for your loyalty and continued support.
We lived here for 1 year and made the mistake of moving out. Wow, what a mistake.. Ever since we moved out and leased at 2 different apartment communities, definitely no comparison to the staff at Wexford Lakes, I guess they spoiled us. We assumed everyone treated their residents with respect and courtesy. But that is not true. I am writing this review as I now really appreciate what we had when we lived there and hope to save someone else the shock we experienced when we left. The staff was really great, from the Manager to the Maintenance staff. As soon as our lease is up at our current apartment we will either be heading back there if we do not purchase a home. Kudos to the staff and thank everyone of you for going above and beyond for your residents. Thank you and we hope to see you soon.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We are happy to hear you enjoyed living at Wexford Lakes and hope to see you back in the future.
I currently live here I have only lived here for a month and apparently there was a leak. I was not contacted AT ALL I had to come home to sopping wet carpets at 7 at night in my living room and bedroom wet kitchen floors a hole in my wall all my things shoved into my living room and bath tub by maintenance my bath mats ruined and some of my bathroom items ruined. My things were not respected. I called and none of my concerns were addressed I was pushed off. I asked about maybe getting some help with the electricity because Industrial sized fans have been running for 24 hours and all my lights were left on and they told me we will see. I am concerned about mold and they do not seem to care.

We are sorry to hear about your concerns. Please contact the leasing office with any further maintenance needs. Thank you!
As the title states, absolutely horrible complex to live in. Moved into one of the townhouses and as usual, toured one of the perfect ones, but the unit I got moved into reeked of cigarettes and the bathroom is the worst. The nicotine seeps out of the wall like you wouldn't believe and I have to wipe down the walls about every other day. I complained about the issue early on and the response I got was a shrug, and "they said they didn't smoke"............ Family and friends even notice me and my girlfriend reek of cigarettes yet we don't smoke, and hey, the last residents "didn't smoke" right? If i could give 0 stars, I would, and I'm counting the days till my lease expires

Thank you for the review and feedback. It sounds like you have been in touch with the rental office and are no longer smelling smoke. If this is not correct, please feel free to contact the manager or regional manager and we would be happy to revisit a solution.
We moved into their one bedroom deluxe apartment back in June 2020. We had an amazing experience in the one bedroom, it was the perfect first apartment for me and my partner. We rarely had maintenance issues and if we did they were small and got taken care of right away. The big issues started when we moved into a 2 bedroom townhouse. The second we walked in the apartment it smelled like cigarettes. We continued to walk around and inspect the apartment, there were yellow streaks on the bathtub and a slight yellow tint to the bathroom walls, which is a major sign of cigarette usage. We told the office and they informed us the person who lived in the unit before us “was not registered as a cigarette user”. 6 months later, our bathroom walls are bleeding yellow streaks. Our clothes and everything constantly smell like cigarettes despite me and my partner being non-smokers. And when we moved in all they said they could do was repaint and change the air filter. It also took maintenance 8 times to “fix” our garbage disposal to then decide to just replace it. Don’t get me started about the bathtub… It’s a great complex but be very careful about the condition of the unit you choose to move into.

The office staff was amazing. They were so real with us and quick to get our issues resolved as well as just overall nice. They have food trucks every couple weeks for residents, and once they did a free ice cream truck. The apartment itself is cozy and the large glass doors in the front let in so much natural light. However the cabinets were very outdated as well as the doors and trim. The washer and dryer in my unit were very small and outdated, but at least the water was a fixed price. I loved all the trees and lakes and wildlife including a peacock that was beautiful and friendly! On-site trash dumpsters made it easy to dispose of myself! I wish it would have been more update in appliances and fixtures, but overall we miss living here! It was so quiet and cozy. The rent was very fair for the space that was offered!

Thank you so much for the feedback and review. I am so sorry we missed this earlier, but do appreciate that you took the time to tell us your thoughts.
Have an upstairs unit and upon moving in (over 2 months ago) told management that the deck has loose spindles which is a big deal with having a toddler in the house. Both my cars have got flat tires since moving in and the parking situation is terrible. Can never park close to my unit because they are always taken. Dishwasher doesnt clean dishes, even ones that are barely dirty. Even running It through 2 cycles it comes out worse. Oven is outdated and take forever to preheat. Carpet had nails and other things when we moved in. Glad it didnt go in my toddler's foot. Cant wait til lease is up.

If you're a low-maintenance person, Wexford Lakes is an okay place to stay. If you have higher expectations, however, I'd consider looking elsewhere. In my year of living here, these are the biggest pros and cons: Pros - Nice value for the size - Plenty of parking - Flat water fee - Never concerned about my safety: I'm a woman in my early twenties and feel perfectly safe walking alone at night around the complex. There was a small string of car break-ins over the span of like 3 days but they were limited to cars that were left unlocked overnight with expensive stuff in plain sight. Management was quick to address the situation and we had no more problems. - Easy access to highway, shopping, and restaurants - Most maintenance issues fixed within 24 hours Cons - Bugs: We realized that our apartment had fleas about 3 months into our lease. While we do have one indoor cat, we couldn't figure out where the issue originated. The cat was flea-free until we moved in. - There is a critter of some sort living between the walls of our unit and the one next to us. There's absolutely no doubt about it and we are highly suspicious that this is where the fleas came from. Management said they help with most types of exterminations except fleas b/c they are too difficult to remove. I emailed the manager about the animal and never got a response. - The provided washer & dryers are below average in quality: I certainly wasn't expecting anything near top of the line quality but these are basically one step above usable. I often have to run my dryer 2 or 3 full times for one average load. The washing machine is hit-or-miss. It is crazy loud and often times the load is sopping wet when I swap it to the dryer. Like, I have to ring it out a few times before moving it. - Dishwasher: This thing is crazy loud. Louder than our washing machine. We literally cannot run the dishwasher while people are over or we are watching tv because it is so unbearable. We also had some friends that lived here the same time as us and when it came time for them to move out, they said management was suddenly very difficult to get in contact with. Bottom line is that Wexford Lakes is basically a "starting off" type of complex, in my opinion. It gets the job done, you have what you need, and don't pay a ton but there are certainly basic things that could be done to make day-to-day life more bearable.

Carpet was dirty upon moving in. My car got broken into. If you get off of work after 7p don’t expect to park close to your apartment because the lot is filled! Tried to ask could we get some sort of notice about parking and all they said was “it’s an open lot and we can park however many cars in the lot.” Oh don’t be late on rent it’s NO GRACE PERIOD Automatic $75 late fee if not paid on the first. Their online service to pay won’t even let you make a profile to pay online so you have to into the office. Other than those negatives the area is nice!

I've lived here a little over two years and have no complaints! The staff and maintenance crew are awesome! The very few times I had problems with the apartment regarding maintenance, it was fixed within 24 hours and no hassle. I've never had an issue with noisy or rude neighbors either. I would completely recommend this apartment complex to anyone and everyone!

Thank you so much for the 5 star review! We appreciate your input!
Please do not move here, save your family the trouble. Myself and my wife moved into a 2 bedroom apartment that was not clean. The carpet was extremely dirty, the sink handles were broken, the tub was peeling and was viewed as an unfinished job, the hot water faucet did not work for our washer hook up, and the patio was not maintained. It was a battle to have someone clean our carpets when we first moved in. We did not have a carpet cleaners until a week later. The complex refused to power wash the area outside our door especially when spider webs and wasp nest were beginning to develop. Maintenance responded poorly throughout our leasing time (not much they can do since every appliance, door, sink handle and even the carpet is so old). The age of our appliance showed when the coils in the furnace froze whenever we turned the air on. We indicated on our move in sheet how unacceptable the move in conditions were; however, after all of that and after properly maintaining the living space on our own, we were very surprised to have received a bill months after moving out for various charges, and of all things, bed bug treatment. I do not recommend Wexford unless you have no other option, if so, God speed.

I can not say enough good things about not only Wexford lakes but the front office staff, maintance and emergency maintance. I have moved around in years past because of apartment ran facility conditions, sense of security and overall maintance. Wexford Lakes has been very helpful since the beginning getting situated and having someone available for something as simple as light bulb changes :) convenient location, great pool and peaceful living. thank you
I really wish I could post pictures on here. I've had to put in 15 work orders since I moved in only 4 months ago. The dishwasher was completely unusable. 3/4s of the prongs in the dishwasher were gone and it was filled with rust. The girl in the office tried to tell me I could still use it. The garbage disposal broke twice, the AC unit froze up 3 times in a month and a half. the washer and dryer were so dirty when I moved, I complained about the screen door they replaced but it didn't even fit the door frame. The toilet handle broke along with the sink stopper. They fixed the toilet handle. Put in a new sink stopper but it doesn't work. Management excuse was the apartments are old so things break. Do Not Live Here!!

I am sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with your apartment home. We take pride in our product and hope that our residents enjoy their living experience. Would you like someone to discuss these concerns with you?
I have lived at Wexford Lakes for almost 9 years. It is a great place to live and the office staff works hard to maintain the property and keep residents happy. Many of the office and maintenance staff have worked at Wexford for awhile which I like as a resident. They have a lot of experience and care about the property. Since we’ve lived here, Wexford has repaved the parking lots many times, power washed buildings, and put new roofs on buildings as well. They truly want to maintain a nice community. The rent is affordable (especially for this popular area) and doesn’t increase as much as other properties nearby do. Water is a flat rate which makes it easy on residents too! The apartment itself is a basic apartment but not bad at all considering the affordable price of rent. We RARELY ever have had any issues with our apartment but if we do, maintenance is top notch and they quickly fix problems as they arise. It is a very nice place, you will enjoy it!
This is a bad place to live because you can not trust the front office to get things done I have had noise complaints almost every week around 8pm I have told the office 4 times and all they say is they will talk to them and next night they are making loud noises again

I like this place first with its cheap rent and quiet living environment. Then I started to feel disappointed when I have to submit the maintenance request once a week. The Peacock is so beautiful but also so annoying. Quite a while, I have wakened up by the screams of the peacock on 3am-5am in spring and summer. Have to move out because poor sleeping quality bothered by the peacock.

Thank you for posting a review for Wexford Lakes. We would like to discuss these issues with you. Can you please contact the corporate office and ask to speak to John Carter? The phone number is 614.228.5331. Thank you.
Their rent is cheap but increasing every year. Have to ask for maintenance frequently because the facilities are so old. The workers in the leasing office are unprofessional and mean. They won't reply your emails or voicemail if they know you are complaining something. And there are a ton of Canadian geese and their poop. That is so dirty. Would suggest avoiding CASTO.

I agree with all the existing negative comments. Especially the one the leasing office never replies to your e-mail or voicemail when you complain about something. I never feel the so-called 'good services' in this community. I can say, this is the worst living experience through my 20 years in Ohio!!!

Good morning-I am sorry to hear that you had a poor experience at Wexford Lakes. Can the Regional Manager reach out to you to discuss?
Embedded furniture is cheap and easily broken. Have to report for maintenance at least once a month (especially the laundry). Leasing office is not helpful. They are rude and mean if they figure out you need their help. What they only care about is rent. So disappointed. If you feel unhappy with the leasing office, and try to reach out to the CASTO company for help, no one would reply. We left messages on the CASTO website and wanted to find someone to help us deal with the terrible leasing office. No one messaged back at all. They just don't care. We even considered finding a lawyer to help us deal with the extremely terrible leasing office. Such an unhappy living experience here. If you try to find a peaceful place and have a good living experience, run away from CASTO. Would never recommend it to anyone.

Would you like someone to reach out to you regarding these concerns?
I have been living here for a while now and have very good experiences so far. First, it is close to many stores and restaurants and is only a 13 minute drive to get to downtown Columbus. Even though the complex is close to the highway, there's no traffic noise where my unit is located. All my neighbors are very friendly and everything quiets down around 10 each night. The area itself seems very safe. I've left my car unlocked by accident a few times and have never had anything stolen. The office staff have been very helpful with any problems/ concerns I've had and have always acted in a professional manner. I've only had one maintenance request so far for a leaky sink, and they had it fixed within a few hours of me submitting the request. There's no assigned parking, but there are so many spots I've never had an issue getting close to my unit. There are a few cons about the complex. One is the geese. There are a ton, and they tend to block roads and get poop everywhere. Another is that during rush hour, it can be difficult to make a left turn to get out of the complex to the highways and stores. Overall, though, I've had very good experiences here and would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a quiet place to live that's a short drive to downtown Columbus/ Hilliard.
When I first moved in, everything looks fine. The leasing office staffs were nice and friendly. But, after you signed the lease and paid your rent, everything changed. It's like a joke. They started to be rude, emotional, impatient, not willing to solve problems but blame you for the responsibilities. We had arguments with the leasing office at least two times. One is for the crazy neighbors. One is for the maintenance. Don't expect the leasing office would help you deal with the crazy neighbors. They don't care about if you live comfortably in their community. The only thing they care is the rent. AND, be ready to hear the peacock calling the whole midnight in spring! EVERY MIDNIGHT!!! You can't fall asleep at all. NO CASTO ANYMORE!
Property Manager at Wexford Lakes Apartments and Townhomes, Responded To This Review
I am so sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at Wexford Lakes. CASTO strives to provide excellent service and I am disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.
When I first moved into the property, much was in disarray - food was found throughout the kitchen and dirt was anywhere that was not at eye level. The bathroom was incredibly musty. Front desk staff was very kind before move in, but became increasingly irate as time went on - especially once you realize that they can't do anything to solve problems without "corporate." I had an instance of money being taken out twice for rent, which was put on me to solve with my bank, rather than the apartment complex - even though my bank told me it was entirely up to them. I was then charged a late fee for cancelling the transaction. This is in addition to rent constantly rising. There are much nicer places for the price. Avoid CASTO.
