Property Ratings at Whispering Pines
Hello my name is terra Olson and I live at whispering pines apartments with my husband marc Olson and our three children we moved into our three bedroom two bathroom apartment October 2014 we found this place through a rent apartment book we came took a tour with the landlord Jay we liked what we saw Jay is a very nice understanding great landlord it is very quite here our apartment is nice we have not had and problems since moving in the rent is quite reasonable for a three bedroom the property is kept up and the maintenance guys are pretty quick at getting things fixed.
When I first saw this place, the vaulted ceilings caught my eye instantly. The west-facing windows are great for viewing the sunsets and watching the Midwestern storms roll in. However, it also perfectly faces the bright stadium-lights of the VFW next door, which forced me to get black-out window shades. Cooking in the kitchen is nice thanks to the glass-top stove and dishwasher, but it can get slightly cramped. I like the amount of closet space between the front closet, linen closet, and walk-in closet. Because I love white noise as I sleep, the fact that the air conditioning/heating unit is in a closet in the bedroom is the best. The bathroom is decent, but the fan has remained broken since I moved in. There was always space to park. Paying extra for a garage space was worth it, especially on cold winter days. Kids can play on the little playground and in the small woods surrounding the property. The surrounding neighborhood is kind of odd, but not bad. Overall, this is a nice place to live.
My wife and I have lived here for the past 2 and a half years. We are on the 3rd floor facing the west. The third floor apartments have really tall vaulted ceilings so it feels really open and spacious inside. The units have central air which is extremely nice in the summer. Appliances were all new and we never had an issue with them the entire time we lived there. Neighbors were all quiet and considerate in our building and it always felt safe living here. One minor gripe that I do have is that the lights from the VFW next door shine into our windows at night(In our apartment at least). So we had to use extra curtains to sleep at night. But hey if you need a cheap drink it's a hop away! The manager Jay is very nice also. No regrets on staying here at all.
