I moved here in September 2022, and I really love it so far. The apartment is bright and spacious with a huge kitchen and a big bathroom. The community is quiet and very well-maintained; I swear I see maintenance people working on projects around the property on a daily basis. I submitted a maintenance request for a clogged sink and a broken screen when I moved in, and they were both fixed within 24 hours. The area is nice and safe, as well. I looked at several properties before settling on White Bear Woods, and I am very happy with my decision. This is a great place to live.

We have gone through many managerial and maintenance changes over the years but right now we have the best! They are very prompt in their responses, very helpful when have questions or concerns and always do their best to resolve issues and keep informed of what is happening around the property. Great locations too with 35E North just around the corner Emagnie theater just down Centerville Rd and plenty of stores and restaurants close. Highly recommend living at White Bear Woods. Also a quiet property.

First any review praising the staff or maintenance is likely a post to try and win a gift card to a restaurant as they do give aways for people posting positive reviews naming a specific person. Second they will at some point fine you for something someone else told them you did with no proof at all and when you ask to see proof you will be told there was a written complaint and the fine will be added to you lease, forcing you to pay or you will be evicted. Third in the event a appliance breaks you will be charged monthly for a new one. Forth when you move in there may be damaged or thing that were not fixed in your apartment. It will take day or weeks to have maintenance fix them. Fifth there security is a joke we have monthly break ins of cars both in the garage and parking lot as well as the building and apartments. It last for at a minimum of 3-5 days. The fastest they have changed door codes or locks was 5 day the longest was 2 weeks. One of the maintenance guys had to use his personal money to try and make the entryways more secure. Six the day you move in your security deposit will likely be gone. I moved in there was mold on the ceiling, they just painted over it and told me it was removed. The stain reappeared and now they say its my fault. Seven i have been here for years and it keeps slowly going down hill. This place was once nice now all they care about is your money and there looks. I hope this small glimpse into my time here help.

These apartments are spacious and really nice. We have one with the newer granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and haven't had any issues with the staining described in other reviews. Our neighbors are super friendly and the staff has been responsive and helpful whenever we need them. They just put in new carpet in the hallways and repainted which was a great improvement. There are some potholes that you need to beware off but that's MN winters for you. Overall, great place to live and we plan to stay for several more years!

Lived here WELL over 10 years. New manager few months ago and I am OUT. Used to be a quiet group of mature folks living here, now we have pickup trucks with LOUD pipes flying through parking lots at 45 MPH at night waking people up, trash rooms piled with reaking garbage, doors hanging from hinges and I'm now being told I'm not able to have a cigarette on my patio and that storing (not using) a Weber on my patio is a violation of local fire codes (it isnt). Maintenance guys are the best in the business but this woman is threatening to fine me if I sneeze the wrong way. Rotten manager who doesnt hide that this is her newly claimed fiefdom, exhorbitant rents and heading SQUARELY in the wrong direction........

Very frustrated with current care of property. There is mold growing in the stairwell and instead of fixing the problem, they spray painted over it. There is at least a years worth of bugs in the stairwell lights. There are other things too. I had a bycicle stolen from the garage, I should have had it locked up, and usually did, but they did not seem to care about it at all. They are focused on making empty units fancy with granite and such instead of improving the property for current residents that they keep hiking the rent up on!
I don't have any complaints about the maintenance of facilities or the amenities provided. As a matter of fact, I think they're really good. However, I'm paying close to $1,200 a month for a 1bd, 1ba 700 sq ft apartment, plus $25 for the garage parking, plus pet rent. I can understand these prices closer to downtown St. Paul, but not White Bear Lake. They need to bring down rent or make their apartments nicer to legitimately charge this much. I'll be leaving at the end of my lease!
These apartments appear nice before you move in. The counter tops are white and collect every stain because they are cheap and porous. The secured entries are never locked and the fire doors are always propped open. Barking dogs everywhere, so good luck having any peace and quiet. My upstairs neighbor gets drunk every few nights and gets into a fist fight with her roommate. Cops have been called many times by myself and over residents but they still live here. Same neighbor threatened to break in and rob me, when I alerted management, instead of dealing with the situation they alerted the neighbor and told them who I was. Garbage chute is always clogged. New owners failed to follow my lease. If you have money to waste this is the place.
When we moved in the community was nice, now we have some not so nice neighbors who conduct illegal activities. We love the underground parking, the dog park is average, the pool is nice and the grounds usually have trash scattered throughout. We have a two bedroom and the price is way too much. We pay about the equivalent of a home mortgage. Lastly, the management is horrible, we have put in Multiple maintenance requests over the past few months and not one has been completed. I would not suggest moving here.
White Bear Woods Apartments are a fantastic place to live. They have a tennis court, workout gym, a great pool, a pool room with a great pool table, great playgounds for the children and a place to host parties! The staff is very nice and always available. The neighborhood is very nice. There are many places to shop and eat. Easy access to I35E.
To me, walking into my apartment is like stepping into Nirvana. From the convenience of heated underground parking, no more freezing and having to scrape windows in a snowstorm...peaceful clean and quiet , excellent service and maintenance. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Next to a beautiful natural wooded area where deer, wild turkeys, and pheasants roam freely, and a clear refreshing lake close by . I could seriously spend the rest of my life here....
The apartments are nice looking. Comes with amenities like pool, fitness room, and tennis court, however the pool is so small you're lucky if you ever get to use it. Rent for 2 bed, 1 bath is overpriced ($1200). Management isn't friendly and would rather leave letters at your door than to talk to you. The rent goes up after your lease is up too which is another downside. Not worth 1200 a month but if you prefer living in a quiet neighborhood and money isn't an issue then go ahead and make this place your home.
White bear woods apartments have its ups and downs. They have a nice pool and game/exercise room but you can definitely tell the apartments are older. The air conditioning is only in the bedrooms so it's hard to get central air in the living room. A lot of things in the apartment are broken, which were there before. Overall I say it's a pretty decent apartment especially for the price and because you can have animals which is hard to find.
