Situated on the northern banks of the James River, across the Hampton Roads Harbor from Norfolk, Newport News has been shaped by the water that surrounds it. Some of the major attractions in Newport News include access to beaches, ships, and one of the largest maritime museums in the world.
Located on the southwestern portion of the Virginia Peninsula, Newport News reveres outdoor recreation. The popular Noland Trail offers scenic views of Lake Maury and Newport News Park is the second largest city park in the United States. Beautiful Apts/Wonderful Staff
The manager and staff of Whittaker Place are just wonderful-they are warm,welcoming and professional-you rarely see that anymore,they actually make you feel like they’re happy to have you living there. The apartments are beautiful- and huge! everything is so modern,fresh,up to date and spotlessly clean.The building is safe, the elevator is always operational and the grounds are kept clean. This is a nice place to live.

A blessing in disguise
This place was excellent and very welcoming to stay at. A nice and peaceful place to relax like at home. The manager Jasmine was very nice and helpful.
