Wilderness Park/Parkcrest Apartments

The apartment was dirty when I moved in. My laundry equipment hadn't been cleaned. Lots of broken items in apartment upon move in. Water pressure was terrible, even with maintenance repeatedly coming out to fix. I would not recommend these apartments to ANYONE. Steer clear. They are "cheap" but there is a reason they are cheap...

Recently had a tour here, apartment smelled of cigarette smoke and was not the beautiful upgraded apartMent as featured in pictures on this site. It was a dingy apartment with very poor features and bad paint jobs. Highly recommend scheduling a tour before getting your hopes up.

We have lived here a little over three months coming from another apartment very close to here. Not good experiances there. Wilderness park knocks them out of the park! I have been impressed here and have not had any issues. Kellie is amazing she is so sweet and funny she gets things done! She is the heart of this place. I have only had to call maintenance twice and both times theu came within the hour and were very efficient and professional and i was locked out one called the office and Kellie came less the 10minutes. Its very friendly and quiet in our building and I can really say we are home! The property is maintained and very nice i enjoy sitting on my balcony and am finally not ashamed when someone comes over i hope it stays this way and look forward to our future time here!

My name is Mike, and I have been residing at Wilderness park apartments for 4 years now. Let me start this off with the positives. 1. Rent is real nice for the amenities offered..such as a washer/dryer in your unit option. This is hard to come by at a lot of cheaper apartments in the area. 2. The landscaping is wonderful, the owners really care about there property, and will stop at nothing to ensure everything is to their standards.. 3. Does have a pool, open from memorial day through the summer. 4. Parking spots in garage for an extra monthly free, convenient in our winters. 5. Not once had a power loss since I've moved here. 6. SECURITY CAMERAS in the parking lots...makes me feel very safe when parking my car and just in general! Now with the good...YES you've guessed it, now get ready for the slightly less positive aspects of the Wilderness Park Apartments. 1. Referring to number 2 in the positive list, it comes with a catch. The owners here will stop at little to ensure everything is nice. This includes that if you happen to live in a building where littering or something has been going on in the front of it, whole building numbers will quickly have noticed posted on their doors and through the halls with not so nice messages such as "entire unit faces evicition if littering does not stop."This overwhelms me a bit, and I would be happier living here without seeing them . 2. The swimming pool is usually always full of teenagers, unsupervised..and it's pretty rare to find a time to just go enjoy a nice tan, but this has been becoming enforced a bit where they are trying to keep outsiders from using the pool. 3. While some units are newer, many have very old styles. this is just preference though, and it doesn't bother me much. 4. The doors in the apartments are paper thin, and while every unit keeps plenty of sound out from neighboring units, you can here the slightest whisper, sound, or noise through the doors into each room. The same for Windows outside as well. All in all..it has its ups and downs as expected. It is very close to Westland mall, a huge variety of dining and shopping, and it's one of the most conveniently located apartments I have been in. Even with the bad, I still rate this a 3. I would love to eventually move out though, and perhaps upgrade, but for a student working through college, who is barely ever home, this is a great place to be. Price is increasing by over 80 dollars this upcoming year. All appliances are from fhe 70's, needs to be updated.. Quiet neighbors for the most part. Within walking distance of Meijer.

Nice, quiet complex. Things fixed in timely manner. The apartment is big but it is outdated. The only negatives are walls are thin so I can hear neighbors conversations and such, kim handles everything so if the other woman is in the office she will just refer you to her, and parking sucks. There is a big carport area that is an extra 20 dollars a month taking up majority of the parking lot that is nowhere near full, EVER. So you have to park along the perimeter of the parking lot if not home early you will be parking far.
