Property Ratings at Wildwood Ridge Apartments
Would not recommend hallways smell awful. Manager will act unprofessional at all times. Parking terrible expect to shovel your self out if stuck in snow. Rodent problem expect mice to chew through everything ugh awful place do not recommend at all
The women who own this place will come after you about EVERY little thing. They are downright rude and unprofessional people. We got noise complaints over the smallest things. Cops were at the neighbors monthly. You can hear your upstairs or downstairs neighbors using the bathroom and walking on creaking floors… no thanks. Not enough parking spaces AT ALL. We had mice. Trash room is disgusting and is inside of the apartment building that you live in. (Smells horrible and I guess that would explain the nice since we lived about that room) Snow removal is a joke. We never got to use the pool because it was closed due to Covid.
Negatives: -rodent and insect infestations throughout the buildings -very noisy creaky creaky floors from upstairs neighbors just walking around -you can hear everything your upstairs neighbors do and much of what they say -many plumbing issues -disgusting trash rooms -litter everywhere -the only place kids can play is a former parking lot, asphalt with big potholes -they confuscate children's bikes and riding toys that are left outside in the asphalt play area -dirty old carpet in building common areas -exercise machines broken -tennis court is unusable -very old, very loud air conditioners that make your patio or balcony very hot -no sidewalks -not enough parking -no matter how well you clean, you don't get your deposit back Positives: -nice swimming pool -very small storage unit inside and larger one next to your balcony
Regrettably , I stayed for 3 years. 1. Parking can be horrid 2. Prepare to shovel or snow blow yourself out in the winter; snow plow removal is beyond terrible . Prepare to slip on ice 3. Be prepared for infestations of hornets , wasps , beetles and squirrels on your porch and in your walls. 4. Be prepared for mice in the walls. 5. Outdate and old appliances , fixtures and cupboards and windows 6. AC on sounds like a turbo jet engine you can hear for miles ! Prepare for high electric bill as none of the windows hold in heat or cold air (high electricity bill in the summer , insane static electricity in the winter) 6. You can hear everything through the walls!!! 7. Your floors will creek every time you walk on them . 8. The porch is quite literally coming apart 9. The vents on the stove don’t connect to any outside source (just recirculating smoke inside). 10. Maintenance will pretend to not understand you (Russian and English speaking - don’t let them fool you). Maintenance will straight up lie to you when property or water damage has occurred . 11. Holes in the screen windows . 12. No security or buzz in (crime is significantly increasing here with the police here on a regular basis) 13. Expect your apartment to be full of dust 24/7 regardless of there “filter changes” . 14. You will have lots of bugs and spiders in your apartment and they will make homes inside ALL of your walls ! 15. Ground staff is amazing ; again maintenance staff is absolutely horrible . 16. Prepare for clogged / backed up pipes with water damage to your belongings . 17. Don’t use ANY of the fans in the bathrooms THEY CATCH ON FIRE !!!! 18. Anything you plug into the wall outlets will fall right out
The apartments are old and there is no acoustic separation between units. You hear the smallest of sounds of adjoining units. There were bug infestations and multiple water leaks in the units we rented. They have also failed to return our security deposit.
We rent an “upgraded” apartment that they never finished the upgrades for but still charge us for. There’s constant issues. Maintenance isn’t good, they will just walk into your home unannounced as they please which has led to me being walked in on naked on numerous occasions. It took over a year to get issues fixed. Would not recommend living here unless you can’t pass a credit check for an apartment as living here is income based approval rather than credit check approval
The apartments would be nice if they bothered to maintain them. Constant problems with birds and mice in the walls and apartment and they do nothing about it. The snow removal is dangerously bad. Not worth it.
Wildwood ridge is located in one of the best place with a very good school district, that is what brings us to this place. Having said that, apartments are very old and there are lot of problems. when asked for anything to management, there answer is a big "NO", Wildwood ridge has the worst management i have ever seen. They don't care for anything and they have never returned my deposit on top of it i payed 1200$ extra for various reasons while staying in the apartments, they just suck the money out of tenets. the worst part is that management team knows that who ever comes here is for there kids education and they it for granted. I am not sure who monitors the management of the apartment, i would like them to see reviews from different tenets and take a decision on the management. Happy that i moved away from this place and would never return.
Hey everyone! I lived there one year and now I’m glad that I don’t live there anymore. The apartments are in one of the best school districts of Syaracuse and I think that’s where the problem starts. The management especially (Kay) knows that people will stay there for their kids because of the school district, they don’t cooperate with any one. You need something, even it’s a small thing, the answer is always a big “NO”. You finally move out and think that ecerthing is behind. Nope. They never return your deposit. Now it’s time for you to fight with them. There are other good apartments in FMschool district. Please don’t go in that swamp cause it’s not easy to get out of there.
My family has been live there for 5 years. The staff is always nice and quick to respond. Well maintained area. Outdoor pool is clean and safe for kids with life guards on site. Shopping area is just about a mile from. Winter snow plowing is good. Definetely recommend it!
Great place to live! My family has been here for several years. The maintenance staff is always prompt and professional in fixing everything. The office staff is nice as well. The apartments themselves are spacious and reasonably priced.
Great if you live on 3rd floor apartment, with no neighbors overhead. Though Summer heat is brutal on third floor. It is a very pretty area for those who enjoy a nature type setting. Buildings are over 40 years old and in need of updating. There is a small pool and a small kiddie pool which are nice. They hire Summer lifeguards and are pretty good about maintaining the pool area. Carpeting in building common areas are extremely aged. If you have a lot of allergies, be sure you can cope. Free heat and hot water is a bonus. Air Conditioning is Loud and blows HOT air on porches and balconies making them uncomfortable to enjoy in Summer. Many buildings are noisy due to age and very poor sound insulation. Hello neighbor. There is NO FIOS in complex and NO Satellite dishes allowed. They are big apartments. Kitchen layout is okay if you don't do large amounts of cooking or need better cupboard/counter space. There are also few outlets and not always where you need them. These apartments were not designed for todays high use of electronic devices. Only Time Warner for cable. Cell phone data signals and WIFI can be spotty. Pets are a No-No, as is feeding wildlife. Have Not met Anyone that has Ever received a deposit refund, no matter how clean the apartment is left. Winter snow plowing is slow to be cleared by maintenance personnel. Garages have pitted cement that could be hazardous to walk on. There is not enough parking or garages. It does protect from snow. However, snow removal can be an issue just to open the garage door for getting to morning work. Maintenance in apartments is usually done quickly. Occasionally, you might feel the repairs are more of a quick patch rather than remedy. They do not respond on off hours unless it's a true emergency. Not located on a bus route. There are No apartments without stairs that I know of. For the money, it's okay, not great.
I moved in with my new family right before winter last year. As the tenants of an upper level apartment we have really enjoyed living at Wildwood Ridge. My favorite part is the amazing privacy we have. And the layout really feels like home. Any problems we have encountered have been addressed quickly. One day it was raining very hard outside and the gutters were clogged(the apartment had been empty for some time). We called that day, i believe saturday evening. I was very surprised to see them on the roof the very next monday morning. Would definitely recommend!
The apartments here are some of the largest in the Syracuse area for very reasonable prices, a very good value, in a beautiful setting. They are located just a mile from mall and village shopping and services; but you'll know you are in a country setting with beautiful green spaces, many hardwood and pine trees mixed among the buildings, and nearby State/County parks as well as the NY Erie Canal trail system. There is a nice outdoor pool, basketball and tennis court included. Inside, all the rooms are truly spacious with a fun surprise- a nook in the LR that most use as an office. The bedrooms, located off their own hall, have large closets, a full bath in the hall AND a half-bath in the Master BR. Garages are offered when available. Everything is maintained well and management is very friendly and responsive. Living here is affordable, friendly, comfortable and fun !
