Characterized by densely populated residential areas and the occasional small shopping center, Millcreek is a safe and comfortable place to live. While not as trendy as Sugarhouse to the north, the neighborhood provides plenty of dining and entertainment options. Families, in particular, love Millcreek for its low crime rate and highly-rated schools.
Millcreek lies just 7 miles south of downtown Salt Lake City, making for a short drive even in the heaviest traffic. Many residents live in the area and commute to the downtown businesses or the University of Utah; Millcreek also lies within a 30-minute drive of many southern suburbs. Just 15 minutes to the east, the Wasatch Mountains provide hiking and skiing opportunities.

Property Ratings at Willow Glen
I left a review 3 years ago (titled It's Great!). Here's an update: It's still an amazing place to live. We’ve lived here for almost 4 years now and have seen a lot of changes in that time, all of which have been for the better. Of course, it’s an apartment complex, which means there will always be issues here and there, but this is probably among the best there is. We’ve never had problems with maintenance workers or any of the managers in our time here. Many of the people who live here have either been around since before we arrived or moved in shortly thereafter. That fact alone should speak for the quality of the place. When people do leave (for the most part), it’s usually because they bought their first home or moved out-of-state. Things to be aware of: (1) This complex still attracts many families: Traditional, single-parent, grandparent/child, etc. If being around lots of children (most well-behaved, a few not) isn’t really your thing, this complex may not be the best fit. (2) The parking situation hasn't changed. This place was built in the 70s, before most of the population had two vehicles. There’s enough covered parking for one vehicle per unit. There is not enough uncovered parking for a second vehicle for each unit plus the visitors. (3) This is now a non-smoking/vaping property, not just non-smoking/vaping in-unit. (4) This is still not an apathetic complex. We're a community that cares about where we live. If we see something, we say something.
Horrible Management. Management won`t renew my lease because I was given 3 day notices because my neighbors who do not even live there anymore complained. The manager never even talked to me to see if what my neighbor was saying was true. Manager is never available and only cares about her own children and not the tenants. Manager threatened to enter my apartment whenever she wants to. They do not give proper 24 hour notices and will enter your apartment whenever they want to. They threatened to raise my rent every month until I move out. Taylor and Brooke are the worst managers and should not be in this business if they refuse to care about others well being. They only want to knit pick at people so they can control everything and do whatever THEY WANT. But if you suck up to them and be their friends, they`ll let you do whatever YOU want. Even if it means smoking cigarettes in front of little children playing. If you live here, you better get to be good friends with management, or you`ll find yourself out on the street when your lease is up. They force people to move out if they don`t LIKE you. These people cannot be trusted.
The pool is freezing or closed. Maintenance duct tape fixes everything, out cabinet doors are falling off and they just use bigger screws. Parking in his complex is a joke, always has been, but management's solution is to tow people's cars. Vandalism on cars and cars getting broken into here is extremely high. HVAC is extremely outdated and barely works, sub-flooring is about 10 years past the point of needing to be replaced and after they put on a water monitor, water pressure goes to nothing when others around us are using it. This is the worst place I've ever been in and once my lease is up I am out, it sadly wasn't always this way and over the last two years this place has turned into a nightmare.
If you don't like children, this may not be the place for you. The complex is exclusively 2-bedroom layouts, which is perfect for young families. There are many of them here. If you don't like a sense of community or if you don't want to know who your neighbors are, this may not be the place for you. We talk to our neighbors here. If you don't like landscaped grassy areas to use for whatever you'd like, this may not be the place for you. If you don't like to have three parks and a rec center that you can walk to within 15 minutes, this may not be the place for you. If you want a swimming pool that's magically in perfect functioning order all summer long, this may not be the place for you. Long story short, you're never going to find the perfect complex, but this one's good in many ways...you just need to decide if those ways are important to your living experience. The police have never been here, no one's been kidnapped, you don't have people running around drunk all over the complex, and smoking is not permitted in any of the units. Yes, there is a business on the west side of the complex, but it rarely makes enough sound to be noticed. I live in the building closest to it and work from home, so I know how much it actually makes its presence known. However, parking here really isn't that great. If you have two cars and/or like to have visitors over on a constant basis, this really may not be the place for you, as there isn't that much available parking beyond the one covered space.
Only move here as a last resort, if you don't have a car and don't like to swim. The parking is terrible, not even enough room for each apartment to have one car. The pool is usually closed during the summer because the person maintaining it doesn't know how to do their job. Maintenance is horrible, some people have had leaks in their apartments since they moved in six months ago! And don't you dare be even a day late on rent or God forbid hit hard times financially and have Community Action pay your rent, Willow Glen will not renew your lease and will put on on month to month rent and jack up your rent more than $100 more a month! The managers are so hypocritical that they enforce the rules for everybody but themselves. They break the two cars per apartment rule, they break the pet rules by having a pit bull (no pit bulls allowed) larger than the 25 pound weight limit. We will be moving as soon as we find a nicer place with cheaper rent and decent managers.
There is not enough parking for each unit to have 2 cars like they say. The neighboring business makes noise all hours day and night. The maintenance is a joke. The play ground is just 2 swings and a metal slide. The pool is usually closed for maintenance.
Nice family friendly apt with 2 good sized bedrooms and good closet and storage space. Washer and dyer hook ups . And if your not located on the bottom level it comes with a cute patio big enough for a bbq or chairs and plants . It also has a covered assigned parking spot and swimming pool . Its a great place to rent from good location, its close to everything .
