The town of Smithtown, in Suffolk County, New York, is made up over 100,000 residents and situated on the North Shore of Long Island, an area of historical and contemporary affluence nicknamed "The Gold Coast." Smithtown consists of three incorporated villages and eight unincorporated hamlets, one of which goes by the same name as the town. The hamlet of Smithtown, a census-designated location within the town of Smithtown, stands as a destination of elegance, pride, and community. One of the many local landmarks is a statue of a bull named Whisper, built in the 1920s and installed in 1941. The bull is supposed to represent one that the town's founder, Richard Smith, used to ride through the region to claim the land in 1665.
Convenient shopping, luxurious restaurants and ease of transportation highlight the suite of appealing Smithtown characteristics. Smithtown has a flourishing job market with substantial opportunities in the area.

Property Ratings at Willow Lake
Have been living here for almost 2 years and can only say I have had nothing but wonderful things to say. The grounds are kept up and the maintenance people are extremely efficient and helpful, the size of the apartments are great and the community is a mixture of all ages which is wonderful thing! I would highly recommend this complex.
My wife and I looked at a lot of places, and we’re confident Willow Lake is the best fit for us. We’ve been here for two years. The physical environment is attractive. We like the brick buildings, and the landscapers really do a lovely job with the plantings, especially adjacent to the central water feature . Many of the units look out onto a patch of forest, which is tough to find on Long Island, and sometimes we see deer grazing outside. There is much more character and beauty at Willow Lake than at the more recently built complexes around here. Regarding the amenities — We never struggle to find an available washer/dryer in the laundry rooms; my wife likes to use the treadmill while her laundry is running. We appreciate the storage area for our bikes. And we never have difficulty finding parking for both our cars. As for the apartment itself — We appreciate that the wood and tile floors are easy to keep clean, and we love the large picture windows in our living room and bedroom. It’s a very cozy space, especially in the winter. Full disclosure: there are a few quirks — It takes a little while for the bathroom fan to clear steam; the furnace is a little loud; and the first-floor apartments get some cricket visitors (not uncommon in this area). But every place has quirks, and none of these bother us too much. Whenever I express a concern, the office and maintenance staff are always quickly responsive and very friendly about it. And we have good relationships with our friendly and respectful neighbors. Overall, we’re happy and satisfied here, and we intend to stay until we relocate for the next stage of our professional training.
DONT NOT RENT HERE We got out a two-bedroom bottom apartment the BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!! The apartment its self it's not the worst but, the fan in the bathrooms don't stop. When you turn on the bathroom lights the fan goes on not fun to hear. Also, there was a major ant issue and we had to vacuum every day for us to not get ants, I guess the place doesnt spray for ants. For us, we got the rudest loudest young adults above us. So every night from the first night in the apartment to the last night we heard pounding of the footsteps (yes even weekdays), they had parties up there screaming in the middle of the night until 3 am. The leasing women when we moved in never even asked us how things are going at all. Also, our wonderful neighbors upstairs lived to smoke weed. We knew when they smoked weed because it would fill our entire 2 bedroom apartment coming in through the vents. Another funny thing these top neighbors did was flick their cigarettes off their balcony to the small little garden area right in front of our door. The other people were nice but overall THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES!
Horrible place to live. Worst rental experience of my life. Staff was very unresponsive.
