Property Ratings at Willow Park
I am a current resident and wanted to give honest/up to date feedback. I would say to please keep in mind you are renting and to not have any grand expectations because you will be greatly disappointed. Moving into this apartment was easy, breezy. Justina is very friendly, warm and welcoming - she made the move in process as less stressful as she could. However, on the first day of move in a roach greeted me in the kitchen. I did not know how bad the infestation was until the first night... it took nearly 6 months to get rid of the roaches and to manage the infestation (giving the majority of the credit to myself by being extremely clean and purchasing Home Defense bug spray). Also, because the apartment is located next to a large field, field mice tend to sneak in during the summer - pest control does the bare minimum by putting down sticky traps, so if a mouse does happen to come inside you will be responsible for putting the poor guy out of his misery. Next, they are "quick" to "fix" issues in the apartment, but I have noticed half the time the fix is Jerry Rigged. For instance, my hall closet was missing a rod, and instead of them installing a real rod they put a wooden poll inside of it that does not even match the apartment fixtures and looks like it will fall down before I move out. Also, their a/c systems are not the best and though they will send maintenance out to fix the unit, it again, is done at bare minimum because the issue needs to be corrected by a professional a/c mechanic. The apartment company keeps the grounds pretty clean, but because this is an apartment community with all different types of people, trash and/or litter is strewn around. Parking is not that big of an issue, I do recommend following their rules on car registration because YOU WILL GET TOWED. Ultimately, this is an okay place to live. It's pretty quiet. I've had issues with my upstairs neighbors, but after I complained a few times they have been quiet thus far. I think as long as you don't have any issues or unexpected charges on your account your experience at the Residences of Northgate could be enjoyable. Again, keep in mind you are moving into an apartment and to not have high expectations...
YES
Very helpful and staff during and after the tour would answer any questions I had
If I would recommend them because it is a very quiet place and the staff is very friendly, the only thing that is a bit expensive
The laundry room was clog up and i make request and call the office twice it took them 4 to 5 days before they respond my clothes in the washer was smelling .it happens not even a week i moved in after they fixed i couldn't open my washer because washing room is very small, i have to call someone outside to push the washer inside well before i could open the dryer sorry.
I love my apartment and I love the office staff! I have been living here for 3 years! I would recommend this apartment complex in a heartbeat! Everyone has their own reviews and thoughts of a place just by what others hear or see! I would say to try it out for yourself and let your result judge what you really think! The great staff including Leah has bene nothing but sweet, and always there to talk to or help in every way. I almost had a change in my living and it did not go as planned and because Leah was still an assistant manager, I decided to renew my lease! I love the new events and drawings that they do from time to time! Thank you, ladies, and thank you for having me feel happy when I come home each night!
Oswaldo is our regular maintenance person. He is the best, seriously give him a raise. I was informed that he did not take this call due to the severity of problem. The agent sent did a fine job, but did not meet the gentleman. The staff here is really great.
By far the best duo of management/maintenance ive ever experienced.
I have been renting appartment since 1985 this is the best community I have lived.
I would Definitely recommend this community to families looking for a great place to relocate. They are very professional, really care for their residents and will go above and beyond to meet your needs and concerns. Justina was out agent and she always has a great attitude and stayed past closing time (on a Friday) to make sure we got all we needed to move in. The apartments are family oriented, great central location and the schools are phenomenal.
The maintenance was filled so quickly and with such care! That’s something that is highly looked for in an apartment
I would recommend this apartment community because bzcause i was satified with thé service i received
Residents of Northgate are by far one of the worst Apartments in the entire state of Texas. It starts with the company managing this property they do not care about the tenants. So let’s list off why you shouldn’t move here. The gun shots you will hear throughout the night, the piles of trash everywhere. The apartments themselves are falling apart and nothing ever works. The AC units in this place are 20 years old and breaking some times for days. The screaming and parting that goes on during the week. The break ins, to cars all throughout the complex. Its public knowledge check the city of Irving high crime areas. This apartment complex is right in the middle of one. The infestation of cockroaches, oh the best part is if you have a problem. Go to management office and watch how you get screamed at and have them telling you it’s your problem. I will provide pictures as well, with them dropping of notices about the shooting and the robberies, I am sorry to say this place is horrible and all around not worth the money.
We have had problems with this complex dealing with roaches and rats. We were told ourselfs to take care of. So we did we told we had problems with blinds they nevwr fixed em but want to charge us. This place not good they are very very rude.
Me and my wife been living in the apartments for almost a year now. And we will not be renewing the lease.. they are infested with roaches and mouses..run as far away as possible... the prices are outrageous to have a infestation problem. We have to keep the house super clean in still have this issue. When then a few weeks of our lease up we seen a total of 6 residents move within 3 weeks so I’m sure we not the only having this problem . Run run run in less u like dealing with your friend jerry from the Tom and jerry show!!!
This was one of the worst apartment I have stayed in. When we moved out of it, they send out some after charge to the collection agency and deeply damaged my credit history. I had made all the remaining payment before I left the apartment. Not only I didn't get my deposit, they put extra charges and send it to collection agency to ruin my credit history. They are really the worst management out there. Not only they have roaches crawling everywhere, their maintenance service also sucks.
For the cost of rent here.. NOT WORTH IT. Horrible management. The apartments are falling apart. Have been here 8 months. Closet doors have fallen off. My sink has broke more than once. AC leaks... They fixed it once started leaking in a different place. Not worth it at all. Still have roaches after 2 sprays, have had a mouse. I could go on for days! My lease is almost up and I wish I could warn all new potential tenants!
If you like to live with MOUSE or MICE then its a great place for you. For last 3 weeks we have MOUSE in our apartment. I also talked with my neighbor in my apartment complex and they all have mouse problem. We went to the apartment office and they are not taking the matter seriously city of Irving told us if no action is taken in 2 weeks call us. It's a health risk issue and they are ignoring the matter. The pest control guy came in the apartment and he did not even have enough material for treatment for mouse. I bought mouse traps from Walmart and caught 3 mouse and they also damaged my food, but apartment Manager is not going to cover the damage. We talked to the manager Vicky she is very rude and she told us after 2 weeks that they are taking the matter seriously. 2 Weeks really?
Moving in seemed promising, apartment isn't the nicest but the price is fair. I have been here 3 months now and still have roaches. My apartment is always immaculately clean, no reason roaches should still be here. I have reported to the office at least weekly since I moved in. Pest control has come out multiple times, but I am not sure what they do. The roaches have never gotten worse or lessened. After 2 months here I had my vehicle towed. I called the police because i knew for a fact they don't tow. But i was wrong, I was just ill informed by the leasing agent. The manager Vicky is extremely rude and called the police on me when my 2 year old and I walked into her public office with out her permission. Obviously police laughed at her, but I never got the $300 paid to get my car.
On a scale from 1-10, I rank my apartment a 4. The staff have been unprofessional, money orders have been lost and my issues and concerns have not been addressed. On the plus side the outside of the complex is kept up with and the neighbors are friendly.
The apartments are very spacious and I like that they kept carpet in the rooms but not elsewhere. Management has been a little off lately due to the fact that they didn't have a permanent secretary. Unfortunately the second pool has been closed due to teenagers partying making it inconvenient for those of us who live by the "smaller" pool. I just moved here two months ago and I can honestly say I love them! Rent is a good price. I would definitely recommend them.
Having to look for a place to live QUICK, very hard situation. At Residences at Northgate they take care of you in the most wonderful timely matter. Late for work? No problem. Northgate is within walking distance to the highways ANDDD no back up traffic getting there. Its very neat and the staff there are very sweet. Water leaking, oh don't worry about it. As soon as you report the problem going on the maintenance is there in a jiffy. Two huge pools, great spacious parking, and a peaceful living. What more can you ask for?
When I first got the apartment they said they put new carpet, but they lied the carpet was filthy. The doors of the bathroom and bedroom we're falling and the locks on the doors didn't work. The oven door didn't close, the refrigerator was leaking. If it that wasn't enough the handle for the shower head was to tight and you couldn't set it up for a correct temperature to shower. When maintenance was notified it was a month and they didn't fix it. The list goes on but this is what I can think of for now.
I rented this apartment in a hurry back in march i needed a place to go, since the moment i steeped inside i wanted to leave. i told the apartment complex all the issues wrong with my apartment the worst one at the moment was the carpet was soaking wet and stunk really bad. they took a week before they decided to go change the carpet after that they took 3 months to go fix my restroom sink and did i mention that my kitchen cabinets were nasty when i moved in i had to scrape the dirt out of them since they didn't even bother to go look at them. i still can't use my restroom cabinet since the sink still licks and the wood is soaking wet and the wood is all broke inside, and that is just the biggest issues not even mention the minor issues that i don't even bother to tell the office since they don't care at all.
