Property Ratings at Willows On France/ RAIT
Lived here for 5 Years! Great office staff, maintenance team is professional and the property is well cared for. Willows is a wonderful place to live and we are happy to call it home!!
I have lived here for a few yrs and if your looking for a quiet place that has access to everything this is the place for you. Management is awesome and very friendly. Maintenance is spot on usually next day fix. 15 Min from the Mall of America as well as several restaurants and bars its the perfect place to feel at home.
Willows on France is a great place to live, the management is amazing very helpful, answers all questions! The buildings are clean and smell good. Everyone is very nice and friendly! Over all a nice place to live!
The property manager is okay but her manager is unprofessional lady. She makes up excuses to deny people. If your credit isn’t perfect, you will be denied. They will lie to take your application fee and deny. Look for other better places to live. I found it and it’s possible.
I currently see the landscape guy laying the mulch on the center flower bed. Summer is amazing here. This will be my third year and I have to say the pool and the plants are beautiful. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate the great communication they deliver. Only one complaint: The potholes. I know these are scheduled to being fixed as I spoke with Jessi. Maybe a new lot would do the trick and save money in the long run? I would recommend this place. Great location. Great management and nice neighbors. Five stars!!!!
I would NOT recommend this apartment. On moving day, I walked into the bathroom with a toilet that hadn't been flushed with poop in it. Apparently, they were using our apt as a break room for the maintenance staff while they worked on other apartments. The kitchen was filthy, carpets not cleaned, bathroom a mess, paint chips flaking off hallway closet/walls, etc.. The paint job wasn't finished on the walls, knobs on the cupboards wouldn't stay on, and holes in the walls. The parking lot is a DISASTER. They "fix" pot holes by filling them with cement in the summer and by summer's end they fall through and create bigger pot holes causing flat tires and car damage. They don't plowing snow until late in the AM and when they do, they plow it right behind the parked cars, making it impossible to back out. Both winters, our apartment got down to 50 degrees because the heaters aren't capable of heating our building. When you call them regarding the issue, they blame it on the apartments being old and offer you a space heater you can use (while running up your energy bill). The sinks, toilet and bathtub constantly have issues. The laundry machines are always broken and cost too much to use, and there aren't enough machines in each building, making it impossible to clean your clothes. The office never calls you back, you have to walk to the office if you want to speak to them. This review is triggered by the final straw, my car being towed. To warn you that your car will be towed if not moved by a certain time (for lot sweeps), this place simply sends you an email and relies on every tenant constantly checking their email in order to receive this important message. No calls, no texts. Just an email. I travel back and forth from MN to IA and rarely have time to check my personal email, let alone my junk email. I've never had an apartment communicate by email only. Does this apartment really think thats an acceptable form of communication? Oh, they did put a sign up in the front entry way where all the random UPS/FedEx notes, notes from tenants regarding missing laundry, or a missing animal or something being for sale are located. Do they think that people come in after working a night shift and sit and read this? The lack of communication on their end is now costing me $300 in cash to get my car back. What a joke. If you are considering this apartment, please rethink your decision and go else where.
I could not find a better combination of relatively low rent and relaxed rules on pets in the south metro. I have a 50 pound husky. Apparently my friendly best friend dog is considered a high risk breed in the eyes of apartments... Well not here. If you are looking for a place and have a large pet... You understand my pain in looking for a nice place. I feel at home. Friendly neighbors. Say hi with their dogs all the time. People at the front desk are always friendly and professional. Noticed rent went up this year but I guess that's normal. Good luck! - Joe
Unless you want kids running around in the hallways at all times of the day, people who leave their laundry in the washes for hours once they are complete so you can’t do your own laundry, and a manager who doesn’t even pay attention to the people who live there and could care less to learn your names (I have went to the office many times in my lease to talk or get something and every time I go there I am treated like it is the first time they have ever saw me). If you don’t want any of those things above then willows on france is not right for you. The only good thing about the apartments is the hardwood floors and the size of them.
Willows is an pretty quiet place for the most part yes in the summer there is a little bit of extra activity going on but for the most part everyone keeps to themselves. The apartments are nice and quiet or at least mine is and the neighbors are friendly. They have hardwood laminate flooring, granite countertops carpet in bedroom easy to keep clean maintenance fills requests pretty quick and management answers questions easily
My boyfriend and I moved here back in July, and we were pretty impressed right away. The apartment we moved into was just freshly painted, the carpet in the bedroom had just been shampooed, and our hardwood floors were spotless. The apartment has a big open layout which we really like. All utilities are included except for internet/cable and electricity which is also nice. For the area, rent is very reasonably priced. We got $20 off our rent each month for some minor defects in the hardwood which we have covered up by a rug anyway. We've needed maintenance to come a few times to replace lightbulbs or unclog our bathtub and they are very quick to respond to requests. A few months after we moved in we had brand new granite counter tops installed which is really nice too. Overall, we really like living here. Our neighbors are nice and friendly, sometimes a little loud but you'll find that nearly anywhere. The walls are pretty thin. I can hear my neighbor coughing and I can hear conversations as if they were standing just on the other side of a door. These apartments are in a really great location, there's just about any store you need to go to within just a few miles and the Mall of America is only a 10 minute drive from here. The only complaint I can really think of is that parking at night is hard sometimes when I get off work and come home and try and find a spot. I have to park far away from my building occasionally but it's not the worst thing in the world. They don't really check for permits as far as I know which is a good and bad thing... I've had guests stay with me and park in the lot before but again, that is probably what is contributing to the parking problem. Overall, I think the complex has a lot more positives than negatives, and with the great location and price for the area, I really can't complain much. Would recommend to anyone!
As a young woman from out of state, I was in need of a safe place to call home. After renting a different place over in Richfield, I found Willows on France to be a shining beacon on my horizon. Not only is its location incredibly beneficial to me, both near my job and Normandale College, I was also pleased to find that its location is safe and affordable. Having grown up in cities where rent is much lower, I typically gravitate towards lower prices - but this one was affordable and WORTH IT! I literally started to cry as I walked into my new home at Willows, as it was beautiful painted and cleaned before I arrived. Moving in was a piece of cake and I was settled before sundown. Not only that but everyone who works here is fantastic. Not once have I ever encountered a single person who I was unhappy with! Even the mail lady is a sweetheart! Management is superb, and maintenance does their job efficiently!! I honestly feel like I owe Willows a lot more for how wonderful it is to live there.
$850 a month for a 1 bedroom, outdated appliances, laminate flooring, hallways smell like weed, windows leak when it rains, save your time and money, over priced for what you get, decent area, sketchy neighbors, squeaky floors, you can hear your upstairs neighbors every step & cough, thin walls, noise travels.would not recommend living here, AT ALL!
After days of desperate apartment hunting, my boyfriend Dan and I were ready to give up and resign ourselves to another month in out overcrowded overheated apartment in Superior, WI. It was our last day in the twin cities when I found Willows on France on Apartments.com and we decided to give it a shot. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised by the privacy of the complex, the bright green grass, and big beautiful trees. The outdoor pool was much larger than most of the ones we had seen and seemed to be inviting us for a swim. Our feelings of being welcome continued as we met Jessi, the property manager, and she stopped what she was doing to show us an apartment that would be available in only two weeks. First, we got to see the spacious party room and small but complete fitness room. Upon walking into the apartment, we both knew we'd found what we were looking for. The gleaming hardwood floors, granite counter tops, and big sunny windows spoke for themselves. The apartment had an open, inviting, homelike feel to it that I knew would comfort me at the end of every day. Jessi was extremely helpful and had an immediate answers for all our questions. She told us about the many restaurants and shopping centers in the area, and assured us of the safety of the neighborhood. We will move into our new apartment on August 19th and we could not be more excited or confident in our decision. This is a place we are ready to commit to and we have Apartments.com to thank!
Awesome staff and maintenance. Great updates. very convenient location!!
Having lived there for over 2 years, I am not impressed with this complex. If you are looking to be woken up every week night (especially in the summer time) by shouting in the halways, slamming doors, drunk Normamdale College kids, etc then this place is for you. I complained several times to management about noise and nothing is enforced. Good luck finding a parking space after 7pm as well. I would never recommend this place to a friend and I am very glad I moved out. As someone with a typical work schedule, who sleeps during regular hours, I was not happy with this complex at all.
The apartment complex is beautiful. You feel like you're in the country, but really you're in the city. The noise of traffic is rare (at least in my building) and the noise of neighbors are rare. I love the hardwood floors and the size of the apartment. In my living room, I have two full-sized couches, coffee table, large cat tree, a recliner chair, a large television and my computer desk - and I still have a lot of space. One wall is pretty much all windows, so that allows for a lot of natural light. The maintenance and office staff have always been very sweet, understanding, and wanting to help. There is a lot of closet space and kitchen space. Heat is included in the rent, so it's nice to have a toasty apartment during the winter. I have lived here alone and I have lived here with a boyfriend - plenty of space both ways. The only thing I do not like is the plowing during the winter and how hot it can get during the summer. Luckily, I can have my A.C. running nonstop and my bill still is low. I would definitely recommend this apartment - at least take a look at it. I guarantee you will fall in love with it. I felt at home as soon as I walked in to look at it.
