Property Ratings at Wilmington Pointe LLC
DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I live in apartment 110 and have had constant issues with mice getting into my apartment. They take ZERO responsibility blaming it on leaving the main door open, dishes in the sink, etc. The "pest control" person Vaughn comes out and just put bait out and leaves. There's nothing more that can be done according to them and they're basically telling me to deal with it or I can move, by letting me out of my lease. The next renter will have this same issue. I got the regional manager involved who goes by the word of the landlord that they've been doing "EVERYTHING THEY CAN" but I continue to have issues. They said they have no other rooms available but I have seen 3 people move out in the midst of me having problems. No one mouse, but multiple. I've been having to sleep with my light on every night to prevent them from coming into my room. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
If you move in, you better know someone who is good with tools. The maintenance men are garbage. They walk in unannounced even if the door is locked and don't do anything (or they jimmy-rig it pathetically and it breaks again every few days). The pool is a plus but it's barely cleaned and the surrounding area is often littered with trash (found a condom wrapper yesterday). Also, they close the pool whenever they feel or sometimes just don't open it at all. If you call the office they talk down to you and half-heartedly say they're going to do something, but never reassure you if they actually did. This was my first apartment, don't make my mistake, find somewhere better!
If you enjoy maintenance never coming on time or fixing anything, than this apartment complex is for you. The property manager is awful. It was so much better when it was Cindy and Nia, they always made sure everything was fixed on time, and they were professional about things. I’ve been called, called names and laughed at for asking for simple things to be fixed in my apartment. This place isn’t worth your time and money!
This place is disgusting along with the numerous other problems. They have mice all throughout their walls scratching, biting wiring, and running into my apartment. DONT RENT HERE! and the exterminator is in their back pocket.
So I initially go to these apartments thinking everything is cool. I moved in this past November and not even a week a had a disturbance from my upstairs neighbor. I contact management because at the time I did not know where the disturbance was coming from. Not only were they not helpful in the beginning. Today (close to five months later) they tell me they can't do anything about the noise disturbance because it's technically not in the lease when the lease clearly states 'no resident is to disturb any other tenant of the building' as well as stating quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am. The disturbance, come to find out, was coming from the neighbor above me, who had these large country windchimes. They were waking me up out of my sleep at night when the wind blew and were even up during the WINTER and management still did nothing. So in five months I have spoke to the tenant about it, left the tenant notes, and have emailed management since 11/6/15. It is now 3/21/16 and management just officially gave my a response, aside from all the useless responses they have been giving me via email since I brought this issue to their attention, and all I got was "it's up to her to be neighborly and take them down" when the lease clearly says what it says. DON'T BOTHER, I wouldn't recommend these apartments because of the way they handled this and the fact the have 1 maintenance man who comes one day a week and repairs are never done on time either.
I was extremely ecstatic to finally be moving out on my own, 1200 Square feet, 2 bed one bath, with washer & Dryer connections and a dishwasher, bottom level, gated pool. I was approved fairly easily. You would think there wouldn't be any complaints. WRONG! The third day living in my new place, a big mother bedbug crawls all over my work pants in the bathroom. As I look closer, I can see dead ones in my bedroom carpet, and dead ones under the bathroom sink. I called the office and spoke to the apartment manager. Her response was "Oh my, I thought they were all gone" I have lived without air conditioning until 1 week ago. Maintenance would tell me that the air is working to the best of its ability, and finally the office brought someone outside to look at my unit; turns out my air was broken. The parts have never arrived even though they said they would be here. New Office Manager bought a stand up energy efficient air conditioner last week, and maintenance propped it in my living room....(easy, cheap, fix right?) My tub has been clogged for 2 weeks, and no one has came to fixed it even though a work order was put in for it. The pool is locked and you must have a key to enter...(turns out you can just jiggle the gate hard enough and the door props open). That means anyone from anywhere around this 1 mile radius and other apartment complexes can just waltz in and swim in the pool. Office management knows, but they haven't done anything to replace the lock this whole entire summer. Also water is leaking into the walls because we are on the bottom level, and it has a very distinct musty smell. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone. Aside from the actual amount of living space, plenty of room for the kids to run around inside...but everything else feels like a death trap!
The kitchen and bathroom in the apartments are only slightly outdated. I have absolutely no complaints other than that. They come equipped with a very spacious master bedroom and the rest of the apartment is good size. Mia, the leasing agent, is the sweetest lady you could meet and the maintenance crew is adequate. I definitely recommend Wilmington pointe.
