Property Ratings at Wilton Tower
RENTERS BEWARE! Do not rent here! Signed a lease on 10/31/2020 for 14 months. Beautiful view on the 8th floor of the Ft Lauderdale skyline. Moved in on 11/07/2020. The very next day the toilet backed up (and I hadn’t even used it yet) and maintenance couldn’t fix it. My only option was to move out or take another apartment. After just moving in, the last thing you want to do is move out the next week! They put me in a lower floor apartment with a view of the back of a restaurant! Which has its garbage picked up 3 days per week, before 8:00 am. Very loud. Guess how much they compensated me for my troubles? $9.00 per month discount. That’s it. Here are the other issues. Huge amounts of mold everywhere. All you smell is cigarette smoke (and it’s a non smoking building). My air went out. Took 6 days to replace the unit! If you rent one of the covered parking spots, DON’T! Property manager does nothing to deter the pigeons from nesting on the pipes above your car and your car will be covered in bird poop. Security parking gate rarely ever works so it’s left open. Front door is always disarmed because it’s always broken and the buzzer won’t work. Good luck getting them to fix anything! This place is a waste of your rental dollars

I had high hopes when I moved into WT back in September. However, since moving in we have gone through numerous property managers and leasing agents. The current “floating property manager” is extremely rude and condescending. Anytime you try to tell her something that is wrong, she treats you like a child and continuously questions you about it. Additionally, she’ll write down what you told her in a little book she keeps or on a sticky note, but then takes a month to get back to you with any form of a resolution. For example, my code for guests had stopped working at the main Callbox. So I told her that mine wasn’t working and it possibly just needed to be resynced. She wrote it down, after ten minutes of questioning, and told me she’d look into it. A week went by and no resolution. So I stopped in again and the same story played out. This went on for three weeks, but at the point that my code had not been fixed after a month I stopped in for a final time asking if I could just get an extra fob. She said that I cannot do that, even if I pay for it, and then asked what was wrong with my code. At this point she acted like this was the first time we’d spoken about it. It took me convincing her to actually get out from behind her desk to go check and see for herself that it wasn’t working for her to finally do anything about it. I am very, very hopeful that this property ultimately finds a competent property manager that has solid communication skills and is able to resolve issues promptly versus the one we have now. Because at this point, I’m beyond ready for my lease to expire so that I can move out.

This place is just crap. Something in my apartment has broken every week since I moved in. When I first moved in I barely had A/C for the first month. One weekend it got really bad and I called the emergency maintenance number and they told me since it wasn't over 90 outside they wouldn't send someone to fix it. It was a holiday weekend and I had to wait until Tuesday. This past weekend under my sink flooded, due to the horrible plumbing job that they did during remodel. The remodel looks nice, but obviously they spent the least amount of money possible to do it. If you work from home, as I do. This is not the place for you! You can hear all the construction over the entire building, and it is extremely loud. I have ask a few times for a heads up as to when they are planning on coming in so that I can rearrange my schedule, and they can't even do that. The smell of pot on the third floor is overwhelming. You would think when you have to smell it everyday for 2 months you would get used to it, nope. It's like the guy hot boxes himself in his apartment every night. I am literally counting the months and days until I can get the hell out of this place. It is so bad that I am considering paying the lease break fee just to save myself some sanity.

So, I moved into these Apartments a couple of month's ago and I must say this is one of the Best experiences I've had with Rental's. The Office staff was very pleasant and friendly and assisted me with everything I needed. Maintenance is efficient and very fast! Love the hotel vibe and the Jacuzzi. This is the ONLY place I've ever lived where I can rent a Kayak from the Office and take it out on the River which is literally right behind the Pools. The best Restaurants in town are literally right across the street. I'm very pleased with my Experience here.

I passed these Apartments several times and never thought to go in. I wish I did a lot earlier! I fell in love with the Beautiful Apartments, and not to mention the AMAZING City View on my Balcony that is screened in already. There is fresh baked cookies in the morning, and Maintenance never fails to fix my issues within hours after I report it. I love, love my Apartment.
This building did not survive Irma well. Prior to the storm the building already had a mold issue as a result of non working air conditioners in the hallways. After the storm there was gas spills in the units and all over the properties, the roof was damaged, and there was ALOT of water damage and mold damage in the apartments. This place is not just old and outdates, it is now damaged and dangerous. If you come in and notice the heat, the smell, and the superficial coverup of the damage, know it is still going to be a month before the roof is fixed, and management is taking responsibility for nothing. In fact, in the only two communications they have provided since the storm, the only underlying fact is that they were so overwhelmed and mistreated. This is the most damaged building in town, that is because it was the least taken care of building.

The staff are attentive and amazing. They get things done before you can snap your fingers. The rent is over priced for the area and for your amenities. There are only 7 guest parking spaces so plan on having your visitors use the for-pay parking lot across the street. It's super close to all the cubs and restaurants.
