Nestled along Interstate 196, Grandville is a charming suburb with abundant amenities. Shopping malls, big-box stores, popular restaurants, and supermarkets can all be found within the area. Grandville is home to RiverTown Crossings, the largest shopping mall in the city that features a movie theater, food court, restaurants, and major retailers. The city is also home to excellent public schools like West Elementary School. Residents of Grandville sit just across the Grand River from Millennium Park, a large urban park with a beach, wetlands, and hiking trails. Johnson Park sits across the river as well, offering athletic fields, trails, picnic shelters, and areas for fishing. Grandville locals enjoy living just six miles from Grand Rapids, home to entertainment venues, abundant restaurants and bars, hospitals, museums, and so much more.

Property Ratings at Wimbledon Apartments
Was a good place until around 2010 but then management started not caring. Place is full of spiders, ants, and other assorted bugs. Place is a fire hazard, there were four while I was there. Smell of drugs is strong in hallways. Maintenance and groundskeeping sucks, made three requests for cracked toilet replacement and it was never done. Made requests to reseal windows and doors to prevent draft, never fixed. Brown grass, bad snowplowing, and no handicap parking for some buildings. For the money they want, it would be better to look elsewhere.
Property Manager at Wimbledon Apartments, Responded To This Review
I am sorry that you did not have a good experience here at Wimbledon Apartments. From your review, it sounds like you may no longer live here. If you are a current resident, I would like to discuss the issues that you have had. Please contact me by calling the office at 616-534-9246 or email me at mpalmatter@land-co.com. Thank you. Missy Palmatter, Property Manager.
Nothing fancy, nothing amazing. You get what you pay for. The only thing misleading on the features is only SOME of the units have a washer and dryer included. Most the buildings have a central laundry room which is where the bed bug review from 5/20/20 comes into play. The walls are thin and even more so in the bathrooms as neighboring units share water connections and ventilation (that's normal when the landlord pays for water) so the walls in the bathrooms are REALLY thin and smells pass over between the units. That means If your neighbor lights up a doobie and you don't enjoy the smell of weed, you might want to avoid Wimbledon. But judging from the apartment market in GR, you may not have a choice and need to apply here.
We had to move SUPER last minute, and after calling 20+ complexes in the area, Wimbledon was the first to be professional and kind on the phone! Melissa was super quick getting back to us, and Kyra was SO helpful with paperwork. We moved in last week and love it here
INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!!! Management fails to ensure all apartments are treated and inspected!! These apartments are run down and not worth the rent!! Management does not communicate efficiently and lies about the progress with the bed bugs!!!
My wife and I have lived in Wimbledon and now at nearby Heritage Apartments, all managed by the same team. We thought this would be a good experience but underestimated it by a large margin: Mary, the ever-humble owner here at Heritage, is a gracious host to us here who goes by the title "Community Coordinator and Grounds Keeper". Her staff is longterm and loyal. Parties for the residents are a regular treat. They don't overlook anything and quickly attend to what goes wrong. Mary knows her tenants and proud of their accomplishments and considerate when they have problems. Her team update their vacant apartments and look after the carpets whenever the contract is renewed. Initially thinking about buying a condo, we now hope to stay here longterm. The cost/benefit analysis sustains no other conclusion.
What a pleasure at Wimbledon Apartments in Grandville! The property is beautifully maintained, any maintenance is addressed immediately. I would specifically like to recognize Missy and Lauren in the office. They have bent over backward working with me through tough personal times. They were professional, creative and polite. Thank you so much!
Wimbledon Apartments are run by a group of highly intelligent monkeys. My roommates complained about a roach problem on the main floor 9 months ago; it took management 3 months to respond and now every 3 weeks they have us move everything in our apartment to the center of each room so the perimeter can be sprayed and we've received 4 of these treatments now. We live on the third floor and we just found out that there was a murder in the unit directly below us, this happened the year we moved in. In addition, the building next to us brunt to the ground a few months ago. Needless to say we are anxiously waiting for our lease to end so we can get out of here. Unless you're going to be homeless in the middle of winter if you don't move here, then I'd go somewhere else.
At Heritage Apartments in Grandville, Mi the owner is like the very best ever, She speaks with the residents regularly and checks to see if there is anything that her residents need. The property is absolutely beatific with gardens behind every building which also each building carries the own name. I would definitely recommend that you check them out.
Great location, reasonable rent, stellar maintenance staff, friendly office staff! Tennis courts, free heath club membership. Close to (within 2 miles) to over 30 restaurants, large mall, grocery and big box stores. In a schools of excellence district, high school next door, other schools minutes away.
