Property Ratings at Winchester Apartments
If you're looking, maybe keep looking. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartments have green carpeting and kitchen counter tops. I heard she replaced one of them with new carpet and a countertop (in a vacant apartment) but has not offered anyone else in the two building to do the same thing. If you live on the first floor, be prepared to hear your neighbors walk across their floor, close their kitchen cupboards, listen to their dishwasher, and washing machine. Sometimes you can hear the 2nd floor neighbors toilet flush too. If you need something fixed, don't plan on it happening right away. It takes the manager weeks to months to get things fixed or just forgot all about it. One neighbor wanted his kitchen faucet replaces, and is still waiting for the manager to come fix it.
First, the location of this apartment is ideally located because of its easy access to getting to Toledo or Bowling Green. It is close to shopping (Levis Commons and less than ten minutes away from Route 20 where Meijer, Walmart, Kohls, Target, and other stores). There do allow pets if the carpet hasn’t been replaced. Plan on hideous green carpeting clashing with your furnishing However, try to get something fixed. It will take weeks to months for the “manager” (Betsy) to get someone out here to fix things. I have a window latch that broke and has yet to be fixed (and it was mentioned shortly after I moved in). Needing a new kitchen faucet, and have yet had it replaced. I mentioned it about a month or month and a half ago. If you can look passed all this, then go for it.
This is a great place to live. It is decently quite (which may be due to chance of having great neighbors) and it more affordable than other locations in Perrysburg. Response is very slow to minor problems in apartment (such as oven heating element problems and minor crack in window), but maintenance will come by for the major items and replacing filters and such. I would recommend this place and would choose this location if I were to have to choose again.
I have tried very hard to find something positive about this community and I can only come up with it is a very quite community. The day I took possession and payed our monies I was lead to believe that the unit had been completely cleaned and inspected of repairs. Boy was I fooled. The carpets weren't cleaned(smelled of urine), the sinks and tub were plugged up, the cabinets, floors and shelves were never cleaned. The closet doors were barely hanging on their hinges. It took their maintence a week to get the window screens repaired that should have been done before our move-in. I put in a request the day I moved in for maintence to repair the closet doors and here it is 37 days later and they still haven't done the repairs. And on yeah, one of the closet doors has come completely off the hinges now. I completed the move-in\move-out checklist with all of these issues and repairs list, but yet I haven't heard anything from this apartment company. I hope that this review will help the next person to question, look and thoroughly inspect the unit before dishing out any monies. The other thing to keep in mind is that if you have pets this apartment company does not replace the smelly carpets from previous tenants. So that means that the $500.00 they collect from these tenants isn't going towards carpet upgrades or cleaning. It is going back into their pockets. If I could get out of this lease I would in a heartbeat. Very Disappointed Tenant
