Lived here for 10mo as a travel nurse. I felt safe, had great neighbors, I loved all the dogs that lived there with their humans. No dog poop seen. If i had an issue with anything, they were there quickly, though sometimes the issues wasnt resolved right away. Never saw not 1 bug. My apartment was clean and well appointed. I was greatful to live there and able to walk to work. I noted mold, but it wasnt the bad type as I paid for the testing myself to make sure. I let the managemnt know. The families and children there were all well behaved and friendly. The management was prompt and professional. Laundry was never an issue to get done. I would hope that when I return that this apartment is available again. gym was awesome, nice dog parks, appreciated I was able to live here. no regrets...and I am picky.
Took 6 weeks for them to come out and treat a mouse problem. I was finding droppings everywhere and seeing mice daily. Their solution, sticky traps which did nothing. Moved into another apartment within the complex after the problem became unlivable. This apartment smelt like must and cigarette smoke, had bugs crawling everywhere, bugs were painted over on the walls and ceiling and the paint was cracked and dirty everywhere. In addition the apartment was always moist. The solution, spray anti- smoke smell spray and to give me paint to fix problems. After coming home from a weekend away to the entire apartment covered in mold mites and finding more mouse droppings, I fought to break my lease two months in.
Lived at Winchester Park for over 12 years. The staff was great and very responsive to any mechanical issues in the apartment. The pool and gym were a great addition. The apartment was decent sized and close to downtown with reasonable rent for its location.
We have lived here for two years, and this place has gone downhill. There are shared laundry rooms all around the property, but no one sets a timer so if you find a washer good luck being able to switch it right away. And if you get extra lucky some rude person. Might wait right for the time to be done and start taking out your clothes. Not even give you a chance to come to get it. There is dog poop everywhere no one cleans up after their dog. The dog park is just as bad, we couldn’t use it the majority of the time, because of how gross it was. There is only one trash area for the whole complex which is inconvenient, but when someone told us to not put our trash in the compactor because there was a "good shirt" in there. We told management and their response was they are "new tenants and not from around here." A major safety issue for everyone is that no one watches their kids, so they are running in the streets and parking lot. We finally decided to move because we no longer felt safe in our own home, but had to pay to break our lease. We complained for months and called the cops about our neighbor and the response from management was if you feel unsafe call the police. It got to the point where we couldn’t leave our house without fearing our safety. One thing they have going for them is being so close to the city the price is excellent, but I guess you get what you pay for.
I was looking into renting at this location and after speaking with leasing specialist this location wants to charge you fee's for snow removal,24 hour maintenance, the 8 machine GYM they offer and items that you may not need. Some of these items should be part of the rent that is being charged every month. All said and done your really not paying the price that they are displaying on this site. Add another 250-300 dollars a year to whatever the monthly price that they are displaying. RENTERS BEWARE!
First of all we read the reviews before we moved in to these apartments and we didn't consider them that much. SO PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU MOVE IN. ITS ALL REAL AND I CAN SHOW ALL OF THE EMAILS. We moved into these apartments in January 2017. Which was 5 months ago. Before we moved in they said they have a great maintenance team and they will solve any problems that may arise easily. My fiancee and I decided to move into the village apartments because she is pregnant we are going to have a baby. These are the most expensive apartments in Winchester Park because they have laundry in the unit, two bathrooms, as well as a Jacuzzi tub. The first day we moved in we cleaned the tub, and the next day maintenance showed up at our door and said not to use the tub because it was broken and the water was leaking downstairs. It has now been more than 5 months and it still hasn't been fixed. The only other shower/bath that we have has a small, stand up shower. My fiancée is now 8 months pregnant and showering in the tiny shower is extremely difficult for her. The manager keeps giving us dates but she never calls or emails back when those dates come around. The manager answered my email after 1 month and she said ' I can’t thank you enough for your patience with this project.' I think they are just waiting until our lease ends. Please see my Google reviews, I never give negative feedback to places but this has been a nightmare. Please take my warning and consider the reviews before you rent an apartment here.
This was the first listing I saw when I started my apartment search, and I had the feeling that it would be the one I'd choose after finishing. The grounds are kept very well, and there's a clean, civilized feel to the apartment community. The price is right, and the pool, gym, and tennis courts are a great addition. Inside, the apartment is just as advertised, and everything works as it should. There was an AC problem which was fixed immediately by the staff. One thing to get used to, is the large volume of other people enjoying the apartments here, and the close proximity to them. There have been no problems, but if you don't want to be surrounded by other people and their families living their lives at all hours, this may not be the place for you. All in all, very satisfied.
The people in the office are awesome, the complex has all the amenities, pool, gym tennis but the best part is the quietness of the unit. I never hear anything from the other tenants and sleep well. I highly recommend Gaia Winchester to all. www.gaiawinchester.com
This place is so bad. Walls are paper thin. Mold in the walls. Carpets sit on cement with no barrier coat. They charge you for water, sewer and trash. East Providence law says if more then 4 u it's landlord is responsible for that. As soon as my lease was up we could not get out of there fast enough.
This is a large community that is friendly and feels rural. Golf courses and waterfront can be found within a mile in each direction. There are at least 3 ways to jump onto 195 within 2 miles. Get to Crescent Park, the beach, and Providence within 5 minutes, or head to the Cape or Boston in just under an hour. This community is well maintained, has a dog park, and several pet waste stations along about a mile of paved walkways. Easy access to the ocean-side bike trail that runs all the way out to Bristol. The office and maintenance team are genuinely interested in making this community feel like home.
