Clean well-maintained apartments in an excellent location. Neighbors are friendly. Management and maintenance staff always there to help out. Rent is competitive. Amenities like the pool and exercise room make it feel like a mini resort. We are very happy with our decision to live at Windbrooke.

Excellent place to stay. It is calm and soothing with a lot of trees and birds. Maintenance requests will be taken care of on time. All the main shopping chains, Eateries,Hospitals and schools are nearby. What else you need more than a peaceful life.

Windbrooke Crossing is a family friendly community. Low noise level. Conveniently located near shopping centers. Each building has one main entrance door to be shared by 4 units (some may see it as extra security while others as less privacy). Package delivery is inconvenient because all packages are left unattended in the shared entrance or outside the main door. There is no place to take shoes off upon entering- wall to wall carpet as soon as the door is opened. There are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms but in bedroom closets. Bathrooms are rather tiny and the curtain rods hang too low. W/D are old school but functional. Kitchens are perfect. These apartments are NOT energy efficient at all. The balcony floor has large gaps between each plank- so ground floor porch gets all the dirt, bugs etc from above. As a less than one month long resident, this is the brief review.

We have lived at Windbrooke Crossing for around two weeks now, and we are already so happy that we moved here! The apartment is gorgeous inside and the community is very quiet and friendly. I'm also glad to be close to many stores, bike path, and Metra Station. Overall it feels very homey. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family. They know how picky I am so that is saying something.

This community is not good to stay. Maintenance and support staff is not cooperative. They dont fix issues in single attempt. All appliances in the apartment are old and are breaking every month.

yes apartment is old. also, all of the cold air/hot air and smells from other apartments come into the apartment home and sometimes door is not closed all of the way for main unit...BUT grounds are safe and clean and i feel safe in my apartment

Stay Away - Really nice people until you sign the lease
Not worth the money...especially considering all the extra costs they hit you with. Although I paid an upfront $250 for my pet, they hit me with a $150 fee for the carpeting when I left. They will also look for any opportunity to charge you extra's like late fees and other charges. When my direct payment method lapsed, they waited a day and sent a "friendly" reminder that my rent was late, along with a $100 late fee. When I asked them to reconsider, they blamed the inflexibility on corporate. Also, I received my renters insurance well before the deadline, but due to a mix up they didn't get the email until after the deadline. When I showed them that the insurance had been in place, they said..."sorry, its' corporate, he's a $50 fine. Although they are completely inflexible, they expect you to be continually flexible. They give you little notice of routine maintenance and can't tell you when they will be by. The work-out facility machines are always broken down...either not working at all or they don't work as designed (making loud noises, heart monitor is not working, TV no working). I had a problem with my toilet when it wouldn't flush all the content on the first try. And I'm not talking about too much...literally it took multiple flushes to flush toilet paper. I had them come in to try and fix it at least 3 times. But it never worked. I finally gave up and had to tell any guests to please flush multiple times since it didn't work right. As others have said, the structure is pretty flimsy. Walls are really thin and you will smell the cooking from the other apartments. The doors to the common area are not snug so noise and smells come right through. Take my advice and keep looking.

The worst place that l ever lived in and most expensive,building structure is literally made of paper,you can hear everything even your neighbor coughing its so noisy and smelly,maintenance zero,windows and washers are falling apart,walls leaking,industrial complex of companies are next to the rental property very noisy with big trucks going through every 5 min,unbelievable how bad it is that’s why half of the apartments are empty

Its ok but get it in writing
The apartment was adequate for our needs but they nickel and dimed us when we left. It was a 3 month temporary housing for us. They kept most of our deposit for various fees, etc. Also - good luck actually getting anyone to respond to you once you move in. Super responsive while you are looking at the place but then they are done with you.

Best apartment community I've ever lived in, without a doubt!
This is the absolutely best apartment community I've lived in, hands down. Very clean, inside & out. I've previously owned a home & lived in apartments in different states & this truly feels like a home. The staff is amazing, specifically Judy, who is the nicest & most attentive leasing person I've ever met; overall great person. The maintenance people are great & very friendly. When I've called (which has been rare), they have come the same day & are always willing to work around our schedule, unlike other places we've lived before. The grounds are maintaned beautifully. They are literally out there every morning cleaning things up. It's very quiet here. Everybody is friendly. The HVAC is great. There's only one street in & out so there's no thru traffic. School bus picks kids up in the comminuty. Plenty of parking. Train staiton into Chicago is acorss the street! The Gym & pool are like new; always clean. VERY pet friendly here as well. Always doggie bags when you need them. Overall Great place to live!

Apartment are nice
The apartments are nice and modern. They maintain the complex very nicely. The staff isn't consistently friendly depending on who you talk to especially in the Leasing center. They need to have the staff more considerate, not so bold when they speak to residents and much more friendly considering the Prices that are paid for these units. It is supposed to be a catering property, their attitudes are not catering.

Apartments are nice
The apartments are nice and modern. They maintain the complex very nicely. The staff isn't consistently friendly especially who you talk to in the Leasing center. Some of the staff can be bold and inconsiderate considering the Prices that are paid for these units. They should have more considerate, friendly people to their residents.

The Apartments at Windbrooke Crossing
All I can say is that this complex has great customer service. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is superb and very attentive. The units were just remodeled and the upgrades are beautiful. I truly love living here.

Great floor plans and location
This complex is within walking distance to the metra (although this line does not run on weekends) and a few restaurants (pizza, thai, and burgers). Pretty good for the suburbs. Short drive to the tollway and a whole foods. The apartments layouts are nice and the staff is very responsive. Kid and pet friendly. The apartments and grounds are well maintained. All in all a great place to live.

Apartments At Windbrooke Crossing Review
I recently visited this complex while looking for a dog-friendly apartment. I had seen the complex 3-years ago when it was under previous ownership, and the appearance both inside and outside appears to have undergone upgrades. In the past, there was no workout facility, but now the new facility is a decent size with new equipment for cardio and weight training, plus a small amount of freeweights. The apartments have modern appliances and have undergone upgrades. Overall, the sizes are a little small for the price, but are not horrible for the area. The only issue I have is that there are not many dog-friendly buildings so finding available space is difficult. The location is close to the train station and as well as shopping, restaurants and other places of interest. If space comes available, I would consider this location to move to.
