I lived in Building B for one of the worst years of my life. And IM FROM WICHITA so that’s saying something. I don’t know which was worse. The “new appliances and paint” or the people that live between my building and building A. If one of em don’t like you they all won’t. The cabinet doors fell off their stripped screws 3 months into living there, the windows moan in the wind, walls and ceilings are paper thin. They paint over old paint and the new paint is so cheap if you look at it it chips off. Dave, the leasing agent was the best part of the place. But I had gotten a pet duck, w/o knowing Topeka’s ordinance laws. Dave called me one day asked if I had ducks, which I said I did. Wasn’t lying or trying to hide. He told me he’d to research into their indoor living. But really he called the city and the next day Gave me a 30 day notice to remove the ducks or myself. I was kind and respectful to my home and neighbors and was treated with absolutely no respect by staff or residents. This was an awful place to have to call “home” for a year.
We were new to the area and felt well taken care of when we walked into Melanie’s office. She helped answer all of our questions and helped get us into our place ASAP. I have read some bogus reviews and am here to say, this place I great and Melanie makes it better :)
My building reeked of marijuana, the police where constantly in my building due to my neighbors, other neighbors had a dog constantly barking -- we all called the NEW manager and of course, nothing was ever done about any of it. Did not feel safe at all! Please explore other places.
