Property Ratings at Windrush Apartments
This is such a cute little community! The landscaping is gorgeous, not to mention the BBQ grill at the pool. Many places do not have a grill any longer at the pool, they do! There is also a sauna! That is something I have not been able to find anywhere else.

Amazing location and the grounds are breathtaking. They have a pool and a grill at their pool. The fireplaces are also a huge plus. Not too many places have working fireplaces. Stop by and tour today. You won’t be disappointed.

They are horrible at maintenance requests. I had a HWT and mold issue that took them a month and a half to fix. Such a noise complex and they have caused nothing but distress in my life. Worst place I’ve ever lived.
lots to do on property and very affordable apartments.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a great review!
I have lived at windrush for 4 months now have no issues its a peaceful, family friendly place. The community events are fun, pool is super pretty and they also have a 24 hour gym and indoor basketball.
I have been here almost six months and I am telling you the location is perfect, the amenities are fabulous, but the most important thing about this place are the people in the office and the maintenance...Exceptional, experienced, professional, proactive, kind and respectful. Your needs as a tenant are their priority and they are ALWAYS ready willing and able to help in any way they can. Best place in Edmond by far.
Maintenance is on top of the issues around the property, office landlord is nice. so far good place to live.
Nice place to call home, clean, quite and affordable.
I moved in over a month ago. I love my unit. The office staff is amazing and very helpful. (The manger even helped me with something that wasn't even about my apartment) They serve with great customer service. My apartment is very cozy. The gym is great and open 24 hours!
spectacular staff, okay gym and extremely old appliances. over all its a decent place
Very nice place to live. Spacious units, new counter tops and floors.
My daughter lived here for one year. She turned in her notice and also need to do one month to month. When she was moving out the new management said they had nothing on file. They are wanting her to pay another month. When we asked to talk to corporate she would only give us the email. It is not the fault of the tenant that the management has changed and the people who were there before didn’t do their jobs. You can’t punish the tenant for your companies mistakes. This company needs to get it together and this wouldn’t be a problem.

This place is a JOKE! First off no one is ever in the office. When I came to look at the apartment initially with an appointment at 3 pm no one was there and now living here no one is ever there either. For example I went to the office one day to get a package which by the way I was never told was there and the office was closed at 10 am. And then there is the persistent weed scent that fills my apartment every day from my upstairs neighbor. No matter how many times I address this it is never taken care of even though in section 4 of the drug/ safe housing addendum it says that as long as the federal law prohibits the use of marijuana so does Windrush. Nope not true. Also maintenance? Nope moved in to a broken apartment was it fixed? Lol nope. And never will be and I bet once I leave I will be charged for the damages that were here when I moved in.

Don’t waste your time here. The prices may look enticing but it’s not worth it. Maintenance never came on time, it took nearly 3 months for them to come fix our dryer (which burnt old lint into clothes and ruined them). The air conditioning was always freezing up during the summer. They only changed the air filter one time, and it wasnt even the correct size. The management was also very unorganized and mail seemed to get lost quite often. The things in the apartment were falling apart, the toilet seat didn’t even have screws holding it on. The final thing was the move out fee that they would not explain. When we called to ask what we were being charged for they couldn’t give us an answer and eventually they started ignoring our calls. Just look somewhere else, I wouldnt wish this place on anyone.

We moved out of these apartments 4 months ago. 2 days ago we got an email saying that they are sending us to collections because we still owe $400. They never called, emailed, or attempted any contact in that 4 months to let us know we owed anything. In addition, they only sent the email to my wife and not myself even though I'm also on the lease and they have both of our emails and phone numbers. The best part is that they claim it's for unpaid rent when we moved out on March 8th. We already paid our last months rent at a pro rated amount as the lease stated and we can prove it with bank statements. When we paid, their resident portal showed that we owed nothing. Since we received that email, they have ignored my emails and calls. I can not stress enough not to live in these apartments. In addition to the above issue, the apartments are falling apart. Our carpet was stained, we had small holes in the wall, our door looked like someone had tried to break in, the balcony had loose boards and creaked, the stairs outside were loose and were never salted in winter, our floors creaked no matter where you walked, we found stuff the previous tenant had left even after the apartment had been "cleaned" (dishes, socks, a literal pile of dryer lint almost as tall as the dryer), our hot water tank, heating, ac, washer, and tub all had to have a work order placed for them while we were there, water kept getting shut off with no notice, our neighbors would play instruments and sing until 2 in the morning (we had to call the police multiple times because the office would do nothing and I worked at 6 in the morning), and people would never pick up after their dogs. If you are considering this apartment complex, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.
This company will charge you extra money for deposit/rent and not explain why. I have debt collectors trying to collect money from me two years after living at Windrush, though I paid the correct amount and was never even one day late on rent. Save yourself the stress and do not live here or any apartment under IRT Living.
Windrush Apartments are the worst place I have ever lived. Rude staff, lazy staff, and too much turnover of their staff. We put in maintenance tickets. Never got done. We had a leak in our living room and the ceiling was cracked and molded and was never fixed. We asked for 7 months. We withheld rent so they served us with eviction notice 2 days before lease was up. We were already moved out when they served us with it. Their loss on taking us t9 court. They never fix stuff, blame you for other residents messes. These people clean out people's apartments when they move and leave stuff and fill up the parking lot by the trash bins. Very very gross and looks like a trash yard. Do not live there!!
My fiance and I lived at Windrush for 2 years and this was our experience. We move into an apartment that the cleaning crew obviously didnt clean at all. There was dirt and dust everywhere along with some brown sap looking stuff splattered on the walls. None of the drains actually drained, the toilet wouldnt even flush because the lever was broken. We brought up these problems to the complex and they told us "we will send a maintenance man right away". After a few moths of reminding them and never getting it fixed we just did everything ourselves. We were charged late payments for rent that we turned in on time twice, and only one was fixed. Before moving out we spent 3 days just cleaning the apartment in hopes that the next tenant wouldnt have the problems we did. 2 months after we moved out of this overpriced apartment we receive a letter saying that we owe them over half a grand for Damages. After calling them to find out why we find out that our security deposit doesnt go toward any damages at all ( kinda defeats the purpose right?) and that the complex doesnt even have a recept from the company they claim "fixed" the damages. How do they expect me to pay them this money for damages if they havent even paid for it themselves. Honestly the buildings and the area are pretty decent, but the way this place is managed I couldnt stress finding another home enough.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. When we moved in the AC did not work (IN JULY) and they did not fix it for almost a month so it was 85 degrees during most of the time in our apartment. It took over 5 months to have them replace our microwave. They take forever to fix anything if there is something wrong at our apartments. They also turn off the water occasionally without letting anyone know. When signing our lease there was a mistake on the date and they told us they would fix the date then once the time came around to moving out they claimed we were trying to break our lease early and claimed we never asked them to change the date when signing the lease. They are a corrupt company and the management does not care at all for its tenants. If you want to live somewhere that you absolutely hate, then move here!
Whoever is writing they love this place is lying. They probably have their friends posting that mess because you DO NOT get same day service it took over a week to have my heat/air unit put in. Since late March I've had problems n because of it it has run up my electric bill but would only take $50 off my rent. Please don't waste your time coming here. These apartments need a huge improvement, make over how about just tear them down n start over type of thing. The man Jeff that is over the apts is in denial saying no one ever calls him about them. Y'all need to call him n flood his phone with your problems. Paula property manager doesn't tell the truth n Jackie the regeional manager just don't care fake is what she is.
I have lived in this complex for almost three months. In that three months I have put in over 20 work orders. I had a leak from my unit on the BOTTOM FLOOR for the entire month of April. To which they gave me a 250 dollar credit just to turn around and take 60 bucks out of it because I didn't "turn on my ONG account" even though I gave my account number for electricity and ong on the same day. So I had to give them a copy of my statement to get that refunded. Now, I have to have my toilet, dishwasher, AND kitchen faucet replaced because the dishwasher sprinkler was melted to the inside, he faucet leaked water all over my cabinet underneath, and the toilet had a crack flooding my bathroom. The floors upstairs creak so badly that I can't sleep at night and the property manager never knows what is going on in my apartment. Several times I've mentioned to her something that is going on with my apartment (like that I had to have my locks changed because they LOST MY KEY to take care of my work orders) I couldn't be home because I work when they're open so I had to be late to my evening plans to get the locks changed. Seriously, it may be cheaper than other places in Edmond but there's a reason for that. DONT MOVE HERE. I'm stuck in a 12 month lease because I didn't give notice in time to move out due to the leak and nothing else that their doing to me is considered illegal so I have to fulfill it. Don't be in my same boat.
I love this place!! It feels like home love the yellow color of the buildings it makes you feel happy! Maintenance response quickly to any needs I have. The office staff is great they are always smiling and saying hi to you when your out and about. I love all the amenities they have too!
I have lived at the Windrush apartments for over two years and I have renewed my lease for a third year. Overall, this apartment complex has a lot going for it given the rents they charge. The positives include a very kind front office team, same-day maintenance, a fairly new fitness center, two pools, a hot tub, and (usually) monthly resident get-togethers, which are free. The office team does what it can to make your apartment a home. They fulfill maintenance requests very quickly, usually on the same day you submit one. I have made unorthodox requests in the past only to have them happily fulfilled, including free annual carpet cleaning for renewing the lease, having the drip pans on the stove replaced after they get pitted with use, and adding a ceiling fan in all of the rooms. The team also attempts to conduct semi-monthly resident get-togethers, such as holiday dinners, summer barbecues, and pizza parties (it may be cheap Little Caesar's, but it's free, nonetheless). These touches make the apartment more like a home and allow you to meet your neighbors. This is key to ensuring people looking out for one another and property. It builds a sense of community. The grounds are constantly being maintained and trash is always picked up. Additionally, it is located on a quiet street on the western edge of Fort Worth between White Settlement and Benbrook. It is across the street from a senior living center and within walking distance of a Kroger and several other stores and restaurants, including CVS, Walgreens, Sonic, and Domino's. It is also served by the #26 bus right outside the complex. There are certainly negatives, and you would need to weigh those against the positives and determine for yourself what you can live with and what you cannot live with. These include very small kitchen space, including a lack of cabinet space, buildings that were built in the 80s, so they look somewhat dated, a lack of electrical outlets where you would think they should be (near the pass through between the kitchen and dining room, on balconies, etc.), poor insulation, which can increase your heating and cooling bills, and the fact that it is about two miles from a slum on Las Vegas Blvd. As a result, there is an occasional problem with non-residents driving in to use the pool/gym. The onsite police do help. In summary, if you are looking for an apartment with a great value, given the average prices of apartments in Fort Worth, look no further.
