Property Ratings at Windscape Apartments
Windscape is a wonderful place to live. I moved some family members in and it was a perfect place. Mimi & Tom are very nice. She is one of most kindest property managers I have met. If there is a problem let her and it will get fixed. It is very quite, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Close to everything you need. Great school district as well. It truly is one of the best places to live north of the river!!

Thanks for taking the time to review our property. We appreciate it.
I have lived in quite a few apartments, Windscape is by far the absolute best one! Mimi and Tom are some of the nicest people we’ve met. They always respond ASAP. Quiet, safe, wooded neighbor. Great schools, close to the grocery store. Our neighbors were great as well, very friendly community and staff. I highly recommend Windscape. - K, C, G-

Management is great, they were very helpful and accommodating throughout my two year stay. Really great location close to price chopper, quick trip, ymca, and English landing park. Apartments are spacious and kept in good condition. Highly recommend!

I moved to Windscape last year and it was a great experience. Mimi is friendly and fair. Like any apartment. adhere to the rules; don't trash it, pay your rent on time and report anything that happens and you'll be fine. I recommend this place for any first time movers out of parents houses even college students being that my Alma mater was practically next door. Grocery stores and restaurants are close by . There's celebrations and parades within walking distance . I lived on the bottom floor across from a wooded area so the winter time was heavenly watching the snow fall right outside. I loved the area quiet and peaceful. I had to move to be closer to my parents. Communication is key to having a nice stay. If there is a chance to go back I would take it. Good luck hopefully you'll find your next apartment at Windscape!
I lived here for 2 years and this is an excellent place to live. Whenever I had any kind of issue, management would immediately resolve it. The property is very well maintained and the neighborhood is quiet. I highly recommend Windscape to anyone looking to live in Parkville.
This was my first apartment and it was a great experience. Very affordable. Management and maintenance were always very on top of everything. For example: Our A/C went out at the beginning of summer and they quickly installed a window unit to make the apartment a little more bearable and after a couple days they had completely replaced our A/C unit. Very impressed with that. I highly recommend these apartments! Especially if you’re on a budget.
Windscape was my husband and I's first home together. My husband moved in to Windscape in 2012 and I moved in during the summer of 2014, we just moved out in 2019. We loved our time at Windscape. The management was accessible and friendly. The apartment was a great price for the space that we had and was steady over the years. It was also quiet and our unit felt like our own private house. We were sad to leave Windscape but are happy to have the memories of our first home!

Thanks for taking the time to review Windscape Apartments. We wish you the best in your new home.
The air conditioners run constantly and the apartment is not cool. The electric bills are very high. Electrical outlets not repaired. They say there are no pets allowed, but there are many pets here.

We work very hard to offer quality housing at an affordable price. We work towards prompt response to all known issues. The pet policy is strongly enforced. Any violations brought to our attention would be addressed.
I moved in here about a year ago until I could find a permanent home to buy but I wound up liking the place so much I decided to stay. The owner,s and maintenance people are outstanding. The rent and utilities are very affordable. It is just a nice quiet, cozy place to live.I worried a little about living on a hill during the wintertime but the maintenance man is out here as soon as it starts to snow to keep the street clean. He even helps people get going if they cant get out of their parking spot.Close to good grocery stores and other shopping areas.Neighbors are quiet and so is the area.I plan on staying here for the foreseeable future.

After a fire in my house in Saint Joseph, Missouri I headed back home to Kansas City to search for an Apartment and made a List to Visit. The first on my List was Windscape in Parkville. Close to downtown Kansas City but in a rural wooded area. After a look at a sample apartment I told the Owner/Manager I wanted to live there, he asked 'How Long' and I said 'a long time' and it has been that, I am in my 18th year and still completely satisfied with my home. Everything I need, excellent Maintenance service, comfortable Apartment, close to a super Shopping Center... I am here forever...
I have lived here for 3 and a half years, I love it here. Have had no issues whatsoever. The owners are awesome. Whenever a apartment comes open, they completely remodel it, new energy efficient windows, appliances, flooring, etc. A great place to live.
I am actually really sad that I have to move. Happy because I’m engaged and moving in with my fiancé, but sad because I have really loved living at Windscape these past 2 years. The value is great. The neighbors are great. Apartment living is always going to provide some surrounding noises, but that’s to be expected. If you don’t want to hear neighbors, buy a house. Anything that has gone wrong in this apt has always been taken care of as quickly as possible. My 7 yr old has a close relationship with Mimi, the owner, and I think she might actually cry when we move. She’s a great person. And Tom the maintenance man is very friendly and knowledgeable and quick to reply to issues, which there will be issues in old buildings. Eh, they fix it quickly. So it’s ok with me. My door broke, it got fixed. My air cond broke, it got fixed. Water leaked in the apt, Tom personally came in and bleached the whole dang floor and Mimi offered to pay for a hotel if I couldn’t stay there that night, but it was fine. I have honestly never loved living in a place as much as I have enjoyed Windscape. I highly recommend living here. I may even stop in sometimes just to say hi after we’re gone.
When I first moved to Windscape I lived below a woman and her daughter. There was jumping, pounding and running. The woman played her tv and music loud. The woman was confrontational and out of control. I called and also put my complaints in writing to the owners. This went on after the apartments were sold. It was miserable. Eventually I was offered to switch apartments. I had to move, not the source of the problem. The windows in most of the apartments are old and the apartments are very cold in the winter. My apartment was one of the few that had the windows replaced at the end of last year. When the weather became frigid one of the windows cracked. July is almost here and the window has still not been replaced. The owner, Mimi, said it was not a priority...but she wants her rent paid on time. Be careful, these are old apartments. If something breaks or wears out the owner will try to make you pay for it. That happened to me when the doors to the washer/dryer area started coming apart. Mimi told me that I was responsible for the damage. I was not. She wants to put as little money in the apartments as possible. It is my understanding there will be a new lease that has several changes. One thing I did hear, when a tenant moves out, they must pay to have the carpet cleaned. The company will be selected by the owner. Like I said, they want to do as little as possible. Seven months or so ago, the maintenance man came in to fix the kitchen faucet. It dripped constantly. A couple of months ago it started again. The rent has gone up every year that I have been here.
My family lived here while we were house shopping for a year. We enjoyed our time here. The landlord and maintenance man are quick to fix any problems. When our furnace stopping working correctly, they quickly came in and changed it. When our faucet broke, the maintenance man was there within minutes to look at it and fix it. Our apartment was in the back so the kids had a yard to play in with a pretty woods area behind it. The kids enjoyed how close it was to English Landing Park-- only about a mile away. I can definitely recommend Windscape!
I've lived here almost for a year. They keep cleaning this apartment and always quiet, and it is so secured, clean, affordable. Also, the landlord is so nice and when i had some issues, he took care of it right away!
I have lived at Windscape for 12 years. The Management is available and on site 5 Days a week. There is an on duty Maintenance man for 5 days a week, and available on call on weekends I have had few maintenance issues but when there was need they were on the problem most always the same day. Personally I could not want a better living situation. I can most heartily recommend Windscape Apartments.
