Property Ratings at Windsor Castle Hills
There’s nothing extraordinary about these apartments but when you compare them to your average apartment experience these days… this is probably the best you will find in DFW. I have 2 complaints. Parking is NOT enforced. I won’t say how I tested it, but I did. If I get home past 4PM I have to park 2 buildings away. Really really irks you after a long shift. There is just no parking and then visitors take it up and don’t get towed. I pay a ridiculous amount for a studio, I should be able to park in front of my building. Second, the gate is broken. I don’t like that at all. This is a good neighborhood, I love it, but I wish the gate was working and you had to have a code to get in. I haven’t needed maintenance but one time and they were efficient. My neighbors are quiet and drama-free. I’m in a studio so obviously I’m not sure how the noise would be in a building where there’s more than 1 person living in a unit. I think most of my neighbors live alone so that’s probably why it’s quiet. No loud parties. No roaches. We had ants for about a week maybe 2 and that was resolved. Some people in my building smoke cigarettes and weed. I hate it but I think the management is cracking down on it. The complex itself is clean but my neighbors are pretty gross with their trash and their dog poop. They let their wet trash spill out in the hallway and don’t follow the valet rules. One of my neighbors seems to have dropped an entire bottle of pills outside their door, it’s been months and they haven’t picked it up. It’s stuff like that. It’s not TERRIBLE that’s just what usually happens when you share a space. It could be worse. I am superrrr worried management is going to hit me with a huge rent increase, I hope they don’t because I would like to renew my lease and that would be a first for me. I also want to recommend this place but obviously how you are treated upon your lease ending is a coin toss and we’ll have to wait and see. Overall, it’s good. No insane complaints. Expensive like everything else but it’s quiet and doesn’t have bugs.

We love it here. Aside from the very few negative reviews for some mishaps, I'm not seeing anything that relates to them. I have had a phenomenal time touring, applying, had direct communication with Celsee, the Property manager. She is the sweetest. We have no complaints on the apartment itself either. They are very up to date, modern, semi-smart homes. Although It took me long enough to write this review, I have to say that you wouldn't regret anything. Celsee is very patient, understanding and attentive. We had a few maintenance requests for turning up our hot water heater since it doesn't stay hot, and it was done within a reasonable time.

I had another great maintenance experience from Eric. The toilet handle broke after hours this past weekend. But, it was not where I needed an emergency fix before Monday. I made a maintenance request online Saturday evening and Eric came early Monday morning to replace the handle and the work was completed within a few minutes. What great and fast customer! service! I'm thankful for Eric and all the staff at this Windsor Community @ Castle Hills. Truly. Special note: Receiving fast, prompt and great service at Windsor Community @ Castle Hills is very common. The experience that I’ve had with the team has been great. Quick responses to emails or phone calls and maintenance is very quick with any issues I may have.
We moved in recently and it has been great. No problems yet, and a very safe neighborhood with good people. I love my apartment and the view from our balcony. They staff is great and very nice, and the apartments are very nice as well.
I have noticed great improvement in the response time of work orders lately. The maintenance team has been kind and respectful and helpful. Darius was such a great help and communicator yesterday. Rodney is wonderful at following up.
Windsor Castle Hills has been a great place to call home, so happy with my decision to move here! It’s quiet, neighbors are friendly, and the office staff/maintenance crew are amazing! I truly love it here.

It’s okay, maintenance is good but not of fan of management in leasing office, also ANTS! not just in my apartment but whole complex, i’ve seen HUGE carpeter ant piles around the complex. Need better pest control

My move in was great! The leasing office was able to get me into my apartment early which I am very thankful for. The apartment and community is amazing and I’m so happy I chose Windsor to me by home!
Staff is very friendly and super responsive! The apartments are all up to date and nice, I’ve had an amazing experience here.
The overall complex is just amazing! From the front office using the conference room to the gym is great! Knowing the fact my mail is safe, along with any packages I may have! The Luxor app is amazing! But overall I love it here knowing everyone is digital and up to code.
I love my floorplan however im very displeased with parking and the fact that im awaken out of my sleep nearly every morning due to a garage being below my bedroom. I will not be renewing my lease.
I really like the apartment complex! The environment is clean and staffs are friendly and are willing to help! The management is taking things seriously when something unpleasant happened and I really appreciate their attention on that! I would definitely recommend Windsor Castle Hills to others!
I love Windsor Castle Hills Community. Kali is always making sure that my needs are met and my questions are answered. Maintenance requests are always resolved quickly.
To be Honest the move in process was horrible. They delayed by move - in without notifying me at all. They wouldn’t give a reason, and i would not have know unless i called them. We moved in 4 hours later, had to cancel moving company, and they only compensated like $70 dollars for that…. Then upon my move in i was given my amenities key 2 days later, which didn’t work to open the gate to where i could even access my apartment. And the apartment has ANTS. I put in service for pest control, it’s been 3 weeks and no one has come. the office people are rude, inconsiderate and unhelpful. I feel disappointed and honestly would break my lease. I even had trouble registering to sign up to park and it took me 10 days in order to register my vehicle because they wouldn’t contact previous owner. I’ve been locked out and unable to access my mail for days because of my amenities key being broken. It’s a mess, really. The freaking Golf simulator doesn’t even work and has been broken the entirety that i’ve lived here but we pay extra fees for amenities and “lifestyle”.
I've had no issues with maintenance since move in. I've been here for 14 months.
Waiting 5 weeks for dishwasher and hot water pressure in my sink to be fixed, still waiting, hasn't worked since move in. Heard of a lot of no cool HVAC problems around the community. Maintenance was johnny on the spot on move-in day but next to non-existent now. Insects are a huge problem, ant trails into apartments, spiders everywhere, mosquitos are terrible in yards, can't even sit on my patio.

To be very honest. I'm pleased with 90% of things about this community. I enjoy the apartment, enjoy the parking but the one thing I'm disappointed is the common area being locked on office hours.
I have enjoyed every single moment with Windsor Cast Hills. I knew once I walked the property I had to be a park of the community. Literally a no brainer. More communities should have a standard of EXCELLENCE.
I think it is a good area to live and those who work here are excellent people.
Maintenance always responds quickly and always fixes the problem.
The maintenance are great and they do what is needed. The office staff could be a little more engaging just as they are when trying to move tenants to applying and getting into an apartment. Some time the customer service is great but there are days that it is not. Pandemic should not still be an excuse for not having help, life is continuing to move forward.
Apartment and trash can wasn’t cleaned upon move in but the leasing office did everything they could to make sure things got done and were extremely helpful. I can hear when people cough, my neighbors late at night running around with their dog, I can hear people when they walk up and down the stairwell. Other than that everything has been great.
La verdad me gusta mucho el luge y sus instalaciones lo que considero no concuerda es el tema del estacionamiento nunca hay y la opción o solución es alquilar uno cosa que no me parece ya que si me estoy mudando a un lugar debo tener disponible puesto para los vehículos registrados por lo menos y no tener que llegar a ciertas horas y no encontrar donde estacionarme y muchas veces no hay ni siquiera en la parte de futuros residentes
Windsor Castle Hills is a wonderful place to start your family. We have loved our modern apartment and overall it has been the place we love to call home.
Their prices are high for a garden style complex with no covered garage and no elevator and not in a prime location. Was only in my unit for 10 months and my renewal went up $200 — doesn’t make any sense. Spoke with several other neighbors who experienced the same and decided to leave. One neighbor told me her rent went up $350 within 2 years, insane right? When I first moved in and started using the gym, there were broken machines- understandable that machines break, but after 10 months of me living there those same machines were STILL broken. Maintenance lied about changing my air filters. I put in a work order and was home all day, but the work order showed completed and that they came when they didn’t. When it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of the complex, especially the trash area, they do a horrible job. Within the first couple of months I had to dump boxes from my move (because the lousy valet service you pay for doesn’t do it and claims any box is “too big”) the recycle bin was filled beyond capacity so people began just throwing things anywhere. In June with 100+ degree temps the trash is piled up and left OUTSIDE of the bin. It’s an eye sore, it smells, it’s disgusting. To add onto this, the dog poop bin is overfilled to the point that it’s covered with poop bags around the bin and the bin has started tilting. Again, 100+ degree temps and you can smell it without even being close, so you avoid even parking near by. People with yards who have dogs constantly leave their dog poop sitting in their yards for days and nothing is done about it. The pool is not consistently cleaned and when it is it’s not cleaned thoroughly. It’s always dirty with a thousand bugs and debris in the water. The seats at the pool are dirty as well. If you live on the third floor with a west facing apartment prepare to deal with temps being 4-5 degree hotter in your apartment even if you have the shades closed, the A/C won’t be able to keep cool. The gates are broken every other week and sometimes it takes several weeks to fix them. Lastly, when you move out they’ll find any reason to charge no matter how good of condition you leave it in. And when you provide PROOF in the lease that the charges are wrong they will take no accountability.
My washer was leaking and maintenance came and fixed it right away. Windsor Castle Hills maintenance staff is kind timely.
Once a prospect becomes a new resident y'all need to make sure the process is smooth as possible. I went twice to make sure the information given to me was accurate and when I came back there was a different Leasing agent giving me different information it was very confusing and upsetting. Flyers that are given very misleading I came in with the idea of getting my own electric company but then later found out that this community has it's sole provider. This was a very hard struggle. Also the rental insurance yall instructed me to put my rental insurance policy through a web link which I done prior and then got a letter saying I never put it in and I will get charge for not having it. I have proof that I send it prior to move in date and a confirmation email saying I did it and still get charged for it is ridiculous.
The apartment has been pretty good so far but upon move-in the apartment was not very clean and the leasing agent admitted they didn’t think a walk-through was done before we moved in which was pretty disappointing. Also, my key fobs didn’t work and I had to go to the office a couple of times to get those fixed on top of that we had to put in a bunch of different maintenance request to get things fixed throughout the apartment when we had just moved in.
Since i’ve moved in the coffee machine and the golf room with the tv’s do not work. They charge us $25 a month for stuff that I expected to use upon move in a month ago and nothing has beeen done so i writing a review hopefully to get something done. Staff is friendly but if you are going to charge me $25 for the amenities and they don’t work then make the $25 fee optional…
I have really enjoyed my time in the Windsor community. The property is always nice and quiet. Management and staff is always friendly and understanding. I've been here almost a year and the ONLY complaint would be the lack of parking, but that isn't enough to prevent me from remaining a resident.
My move was quick and painless and the staff was really nice however there seemed to be some empty promises. When arriving to my nee apartment I was told several things would be fixed such as my peep hole which is just a hole in my door that anyone can look through. I was also told I would receive a welcome gift that was never given and After sending out a list of repairs such as fixing my water filter in fridge I have not heard from staff.
Love living here so far. Leasing staff has been wonderful.
