Property Ratings at Windsor Coconut Creek
No recomiendo vivir aquí.
Where to begin! First our apartment had an awful tobacco smell coming in thru the vents even when this was supposed to be a free smoke community! We complained multiple times we even found out who was the smoker in our Building, notified the office and unlike it is stated on the lease contract the office never proceeded with the investigation to fix this. All they did was send out emails and useless letters to ALL UNITS IN THE BUILDING when they knew exactly the apartment number the smell was coming from. I have asked for reasonable solutions and nothing ever happens, I have been keeping records of all emails and requests I have sent to the management office because it’s gotten to the point where I’ve considered taking legal actions about it! Then, back in December I asked the office to replace the grout on the shower, they only needed to fix some areas not the whole shower; they said we needed to get out of the apartment for the whole day cause the smell was gonna be too strong to stand it. We packed our dog and our kid hoping we would come back to a decent job but instead they painted the whole shower (tiles and grout altogether and even the ceiling.) it did not only look sloppy but the fact that I, the renter, have more knowledge on basic maintenance than Dennis, the maintenance manager is embarrassing!! If I knew that was going to be the way they fix issues around St Andrews I would have refused to take it cause this was not even the worst part. Not even a month later, the painting started peeling off, water was getting underneath and in between the tiles they covered and this cheap paint they applied! I went to the office as soon as it happened and with pictures to prove I wasn’t lying, the only solution Lynn gave me was to get the same person who did the job the first time and re-paint the shower.

I enjoy living at St Andrews. It is well kept and I have had excellent responses from the staff. Lynn in the main administration building is very knowledgeable and professional. Any maintenance request I’ve put in has been answered within a day or two.

Do NOT do like I did and make a decision and sign a lease prior to coming to this property. I was living in NC and had to make a decision rather quickly. What a mistake!!! For what I pay this is a horrible apartment!!! I've had appliance problems...dryer had to be replaced after 2 attempts to repair. Horrible walls with holes barely covered, crappy low-life painting attempting to obscure cosmetic eyesores on the walls and ceilings. Both bedrooms have light switches that don't affect any of the outlets so you can't even turn on a light from the bedroom entry way light switch. The storage is horrible inside the units. I would've preferred a tad smaller apartments in exchange for some storage space. Appliances are the lowest level one could buy. This whole community is run-down. I found out the prior owners went bankrupt last Fall and a new company took over (and they're doing a horrible job). Maintenance response is sporatic but I seem to never get them to fix the problems on the first try. I even had mold/mildew problems in my garage that I rent separately. These 'garages' are very small, smell, oldly and moldy with now ventilation. Also have no power outlets in them other than the garage door opener. What else...I've had a leaky A/C, a neighbor with dogs that would bark from 11:30pm - 1pm where police were called 3 times. This problem has now gone away thank God. Lastly, I've had repetitive card access problems where I couldn't even get into the facility with my own card access. Overall, a horrible value and I'm counting the days until I move out. Being I'm in month #3 I have alot of counting to do.
This place is by far the worst I have ever rented at. Gates are constantly broken and their office staff takes days to return phone calls. I had mold in my AC and it took them 3 weeks to finally get someone out to clean it, but that was only after I had to stop in multiple times. Now they are painting the buildings and I have had plastic on all the windows and patio door for a week and they haven't even started painting my building.

I loved the apartment complex and all the amenities and actual layout of the apartment. The only reason I am NOT renting from here is because of the distance to work and wanting to be within biking distance to work.
Property Manager at Windsor Coconut Creek, Responded To This Review
Dear valued resident, thank you for your review!!!
I would recommend anyone cause the apartment is lovely and the office employees are very nice and helpful and they make u feel wanted.
Staff is great but maintenance of community gate is terrible usually gate is broken or when fixed phone system doesn't work and my guests can not come in
I had the opportunity to visit and was greeted by Lynn. She was amazing, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable of assisting me with what was in my budget. She is an excellent asset to your company. However, when we went to tour an apartment model. I noticed that the building is not well maintained. Immediately I was able to noticed dog waste EVERYWHERE! The smell alone was horrible. I personally could not visualize waking up and stepping outside to view or smell that. I did inquire about the dog waste and she stated that when they know who is not picking up after the dog (s) that a written reprimand is given and if it continues that they will be fined. It seems as if the community is okay and or grounds men is okay with that. That alone was a deterrence of myself looking to call this place home.
THE RENT IS REASONABLE BUT NEVER ABLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE BY PHONE. THEY DONT ANSWER OR CALL BACK WHEN LEAVE MESSAGES. ALWAYS HAVE TO GO IN PERSON! VERY INCONVIENT WHEN WE ARE WORKING AND NEED TO GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE
The places are nice and I would recommend this property to anyone. I would like to see the apartments a little more updated such as: Vinyl flooring/wood, warm/earth tone paint (walls), paved walk ways from one apartment to another...these were just a few things I noticed that would increase the beauty of this property.
I think is a great complex and nice divide sections of the apartment. I would recommend upgrading the stackable washer n dryer to a full size washer. Add outside storage. Walk in closet. And upgrade bathtub.
With all due respect, I feel like the upper management sending these questionnaires should stop asking the tenants questions about Future tenants and start worrying about the tenants living in the actual units. I completely understand business and wanting to drive new tenants to St. Andrews but please worry more about the already paying tenants. You wouldn’t have to ask these questions if we were being handled properly. It would just come naturally to want to recommend new tenants. I have been here almost ten yrs and the love and care for this building has changed and it shows in the buildings grounds, landscaping, broken gates, etc. the quality of people all around has been degrading, cars being broken in to no security. Hurricane Irma was in September, there are still rooted up trees laying on the grounds that have not been tended to.
The common areas are not kept up, there is always bags of trash from occupants piling them up. The hallways are not clean.
I have been apart of this community for a year and a half and so far I have no complaints.
I will recommend this community because is got good sanitation service clean and safe premises except some of the maintenance workers need to improve the quality of work.
I had been a resident for 2 years, and we have so much thing to say about this place, it was a horrible experience. If advice wasn't that good, I woudn't just say it, I would sell it. First of all, the security is horrible, People tried to get in my house 2 times late at night. Their mantainance takes forever to come and fix things. There are too much drug dealers, and they dont care about it. This is not a family place, if you are looking for a peaceful place to rent here DONT do a mistake. I have always paid my rent on time, I left the apartment in very good condition, they stayed with my deposit and charged me extra after I left, not even explaining that I had to pay water/sewer which I did for the last month, but they charged for the month that I was gone. I didn't understand that, they just sent one letter, and after that they sent me to a debt collector. That is insane. RIDICULOUS. The staff, horrible people. When I fist looked to rent at ST ANDREWS I looked at the reviews, and you give a chance to them, but in reality when you see someone speaking something bad, that is true . If theres smoke theres fire. We think people are just complaining a lot, DONT RENT HERE, It will be your worst mistake.!

Hello, Thank you for your candid feedback. We are sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. Our residents' satisfaction is our primary focus. We would really like to understand your concerns regarding security deposit and our service. It is important that we address these at the earliest. I am keen to discuss this further with you, please email me at support@milestone.desk-mail.com. I hope to change your opinion about us.
The maintenance man that came was courteous. I'm waiting for a new dishwasher and he let me know it's on order and delayed due to hurricane Irma.
My leasing agent was amazing, informative and very professional. Her name was Aileen and I wish all experiences were like my experience with her at St. Andrews. I definitely thought she was the manager.
It's clean, well maintained, the apartments are well designed and have value for the money and it has a great leasing staff!
It's is very convenient for first time renters and the staff is wonderful. There's also alot of parking which is great, because not a lot of communities in the area offer sufficient parking spots.
Our leasing agent was phenomenal. The community was pretty much the same as some others in the area, the apartment was clean, the price is a little high, but our agent made the difference. Because of her performance, this community is on our short list.
I would highly recommend this property based on my personal evaluation of Ms Gomez. If she ever needed or wants another job I would hire her on the spot. It has been many years since I have ever spoke so highly of a leasing agent.
Already recommended it multiple times. Reasons: ample parking (lots pf friends live in communities that if they get home too late they have to park suuuperrr far from their apartment), trash service, close to highway. One reason i would bring caution to someone moving in is if they arent the most confident driver because pulling out of the community it nothing short of a nightmare. Either you wait 5-10 mins to pull out the front or spend 5-10 mins driving all the way out through the back gate. Second caution would be the severe bug/mosquito issue at night at the front door of the apartments due to the light that is at the front door, which can't be shut off since it has no light switch.
M e gusta mucho las areas comunes, la accesibilidad al conjunto residencial, la atencion de las personas de oficina, las instalaciones recreativas, en general estoy muy a gusto con el conjunto.
I live in St . Andrews apartment complex in coconut creek, Florida. I really love this place for several reasons. One of them is that I feel safe here with my children. Another is that there's a big green top right in front of my house so my kids can ride their bikes or scooters and I can keep an eye on them. Behind the green top, is a little park for the kids to play and let some energy out of their system. I also like the fact that I talk to my neighbors and everybody knows each other and their children. Another thing I like is that my kids school is five minutes by car (15 minutes walking) distance. I also love that is a great area. There is a beautiful view of the lake right in the front and the houses are gorgeous. They also pick up your trash right in front of your door. I love how they remodel the kitchen and that i have tile floor in my living room instead of carpet. The girls in the office are great and efficient and everytime I have a problem they come right away and fix it. This is my review of my apartment.I really hope that you liked it and that you choose me because that would really help me a lot and I will be forever grateful?
I had a friend over and took a walk around. There is so much to be done. I don't believe the management really takes care of this complex..but it is home for me an my mother. June
living in St. Andrews at Winston Park is . First i would like to say that shopping and dining is breeze and you don't have to go far. publix is across the street as well as a few different restaurants and a gym. theres a fun factory for children just down the street. for adults there is the promenade at wiles and 441. its a quiet gated community. the neighbors are courteous. the only thing i can say that needs improvement is the ceiling fans in the apartments but more importantly the maintenance on the property. as far as the pool area in the back, its usually a mess. beer bottles and smelly trash cans. when the are is cleaned its a great place to hang out. two grills next to a covered seating area with a bar like counter surrounding it. the washer and dryer in the one beds is a stackable which kinda sucks but other than that its a decent place to call home.
I've lived here for years and i would definitely recommend this location for anyone. Grocery store, gym, shopping, & night life all within walking distance. The apartments are upgraded with tile and new fixtures and appliances. Great schools... I've enjoyed my time here.
This is our second property we have leased with Equity, and while they are expensive we are willing to overlook it as some of the rent goes towards down payment on a house; which no programs are available where we live. While the apartments at St. Andrews at Winston Park offer fairly decent size rooms, as well as are currently undergoing 'rehab', there are some severe problems. The community gate and security precautions are often down, but the leasing office tries their best to keep up. The apartments have tons of small flying ants, and many of the apartments have not been updated since the late 90s. Bathroom tiles are cracked with holes, appliances do not work, and parking is not sufficient to sustain the growing families in the community. Children throw garbage on the floor, and for the first month I often had to clean up food and trash around my first floor patio that was not my own. Our lights are broken and have not been fixed, and we continue to have issues with the air conditioning in our particular unit-a huge deal when living in South Florida. When the maintenance crew comes to make repairs, it depends on the service personnel. Some leave muddy shoe prints and messes on the floor, while others do clean up after themselves. I suppose, we should have seen the signs we tried to move in and none of the keys worked to get into the apartment or the security gate. Again, why the leasing staff office is friendly, and do try, there is only so much that can be done. Our friend's apartment on the other side of the courtyard was broken into and robbed, as well as other attempted robberies in the past month, and no additional security precautions have been taken. We will be looking to move to a different community, transferring ort lease hopefully soon. It is a decent transient location, but not a place I would want to stay for a long period of time. Perhaps, once all of the rehab projects are completed the community will be better, but as of right now, this is not the crown jewel in the Equity properties, far from it.
We have lived here for 3 1/2 years and love it. The complex is large with a lot of amenities. There's a bus stop in front of the complex and Publix is right across the street. All major roads are within minutes and it's very accessible to Boca Raton and Ft Lauderdale. The complex has trash pick up at every unit 5 days a week. There are 2 pools and 2 fitness centers. The neighbors are sweet. I'm in a townhouse and I do not hear any of my neighbors through the walls! The leasing office is a wonderful group. They are kind and courteous and very professional. The grounds are clean and when you walk around the lake, it feels like you are walking in the park. the pool area is set up for barbecuing. You can have a beautiful pool party. If you have kids, this is a fantastic school system to be in! We moved here for our daughter and she ended up with several scholarships to college. If you are looking for just another apartment, this is not the place. If you are looking for a HOME, you have found it!
I've been living here for 8 years, and I really love my complex and my apartment. The staff is always friendly, and are very eager to assist when needed. The grounds are always well kept, and the property management is always trying to find ways to improve.
