Property Ratings at Windsor Forest
First I want to start with how quick and easy our process was becoming apart of this community Shelly was very professional and communicative so far we have been living here almost a month and we are loving it so happy
I currently live in July 2022. I lived here for 4 years now. I have no complaints. I get all of my wants and reds meet in a timely fashion. As for mice, we live so close to a wooded area that field mice are the inevitable. But your cleanliness and tidiness plays a big part! In my 4 years I have only seen 2 mice and the problem was taken care of and addressed in a professional manner. The management goes above and beyond for me and my family and know use by name. Maintenance comes within 24hrs and even faster if need be so NO complaints there either… I enjoy my place it is cozy and homie for me.

I’ve lived here for four months with constant mice. I’ve had the exterminator out every Thursday for months. They did a drill and dust, it did not work. Unless you send them videos or photos of your issues in writing, they do no come out and help. I sent a request on Jan 26th for more exterminators because of how bad the issue is, mice in my stove, kitchen, closets, there is constant droppings to matter how much I clean or take my trash out. It’s the 4th of February and I’ve had no response, they stopped responding to me entirely.

Every year I have to suffer from heat and lose nights of rest due to the ac. I want to know which policy says if it's not 90 degrees out they cannot fix your ac. I'm paying for my ac bill. If something is broken in the apartment that is beyond me, I'm paying rent here. I'm expecting it to get fixed in a timely manner. Don't tell me oh because it's not 90 degrees out they cannot come and fix it. Not everybody can stand 80 degrees in a stuffy apartment much less having the apartment go beyond 85 even 90. I'm wondering who makes these rules. If the ac units were up to date then every time the power goes out the ac wouldn't go with it. Let me tell you something, I have been avoiding all the comments and feedbacks about living here. Why, because I want to leave here in peace and leave when I'm able to..... This is why I have not comment on all the nonsense that I have had to deal with here. This ac thing is a every year thing. If you have a infant or toddler trying to sleep it's a guarantee that it won't happen. You know what gets me, is when I was told they were going to send someone immediately. Then, almost 1hr later you call, then they want to pull out the policy foolishness on you. As I said I don't normally complain and there is so much people can take and no more. I don't wish for any of these policy makers to really feel what others have to go through when their policies tramples on your humanity. Hopefully, this year will be the last of the ac nonsense. Working hard to leave the foolishness.

Any reviews giving this place more than three stars is a lie. I have been here two years and the cons outweigh the good. The neighbors are loud there are mice everywhere no matter how many times you clean and call an exterminator. Do not live here I beg you because I wish someone had warned me.
I have lived here for a little over 3 months and it is horrible. The NEIGHBORS over top of me are awful. They have small children who jump stomp run back and forth all day over my head. I have complained several times and the rental office has done nothing. I hate it here and I am going to ask to be let out of my lease. If you want to move to a place where NEIGHBORS have no respect for people who are underneath them then this is the place for you.

Hello valued resident! We are truly sorry to hear of your most recent experience. We understand that multifamily living has the potential to produce frustrating moments. However, Please understand that with multifamily live you should expect to hear noises from neighboring apartments from time to time. Should you feel this noise is excessive, we ask that you put your concern in writing and submit it to your business office or community manager so this concern may be investigated. Please give us a call, stop into the office, or email us at windsorforestbusiness@marylandmgmt.com. We look forward to hearing from you
I have lived here for two years and it hasn't been very pleasant. The apartments are spacious and not too far from decent shopping centers however, the flaws of this place do not make it worth it. I have dealt with mice, roaches and loud neighbors consistently. I bleach down my kitchen, buy my own repellant, sweep and mop weekly to no avail. I have had several visits from the exterminator who is kind but just doesn't get the job done. The protocol should be if one unit in a building has a rodent issue then all units need to be treated because they're coming from somewhere! The icing on the cake is how cozy my neighbors and I are due to the paper mache walls. So when they wake up at the crack of dawn so do I. I can wear Beats headphones, watch tv or run a white noise machine and still hear conversations, sex, showering, flushing and my favorite of all, stomping. I vacationed in a villa with 12 people and never heard this much noise. If you're dead set on living here, get a unit on the top floor and feel free to stomp away on top of the poor souls below you. Also keep an eye on the gas stove, if all the pilot lights aren't lit you'll end up dizzy and nauseous. Other than that, maintenance is typically quick even though they don't always do the work requested and the leasing office staff is nice. Truly, if I could change units to a top floor maybe I'd stay but I just shortened my lease so do what you will with that information.

Maintenance is always on time ,and apartment staff are so helpful ,I miss Chantelle though. So peaceful and best neighbors ever
I used to live here and I miss it. Maintenance was awesome. I didn't have many issuse, but the few I did have was done accurately and efficiently.
-Rent is high for there to be no amenities or activities -The things i will miss about this apartment is being near security mall and mondawmin mall, an in-unit washer and dryer and mirrors on the closet doors -Employees claim they’ll put a work ticket in but never do or they’ll say someone will come out on this day but no one ever shows up and you have to constantly call the office -This “newly renovated” 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment had an issue every month since I moved in and it’s all been documented! Something was always broken, flooding, leaking, or molded. -Maintenance were time efficient when responding to tickets but sometimes they don’t even know what they’re in your apt for. Also whatever they came to fix ended up being worse or it took them many weeks to finish the issue. -Maintenance feel as though they can use your stuff without asking and don’t clean up their mess -The apartment was always hot/damp no matter what. Mold would grow on the ceiling, walls, windowsill, wall sockets, clothes, shoes, & random household items because of the moisture -Instead of getting to the root of the mold issue, Z-14 spray was sprayed on the mold by the maintenance which would just come back weeks later -I’ve come home plenty of times to issues fixed but no notice of maintenance entering my apt. I went to the rental office and requested a copy of all maintenance work orders because maintenance don’t leave anything and was told by manager over phone “we don’t do that” -Received a new furnace within 2 months of moving in despite that apartment is still hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to poor circulation. -Apt reeks of mildew -Walls are paper thin, apt might as well be a boarding house -Contractors do not patch small holes in the walls made by previous tenants -Corners of walls and baseboards peeling and dirty - Door hinges are rusty -A whole year later the mailbox door still falls off -Their idea of cable ready is a cable wire hanging from the ceiling and big holes in the ceiling and walls -the water was always inconveniently turned off -A week before I moved out, office was eager fix things that they were called about plenty of times -Had an ant infestation a few weeks after move-in that i had to pay out of pocket for because the pest control company this property use is the worst. -I did not resign my lease and I advise you not to sign one at all with this hell hole property!!
People leave you alone for the most part, which is nice. Haven't had many problems with loud neighbors, which is good, because the walls are ridiculously thin here. You can literally hear conversations from the floor below or the apartment next to you, although they are at least muffled. But these people are talking at normal level and you can here them. I can literally hear my neighbor snoring at night, and peeing in their bathroom when I'm in mine. People can be pretty nasty and not always put their trash in the dumpster, putting it next to the dumpster instead which blocks off the entrance. However, at least they have people that clean up here because if not it would be bad-so sometimes this area gets cleaned out every few days. The kitchen has no ventilation, and since there is an area above the cabinets, it quickly gets a nasty sticky grease layer you can't do anything about, so you can use that area to put stuff on but it will get a film of nasty kitchen grease eventually. I don't know if the ventilation is connected to the downstairs neighbor but sometimes I can smell cigarette smoke in the kitchen. The bathroom is ventilated but poorly. The ventilation is connected to light switch, so it's always on when you're in there which maybe annoying to some. But it doesn't ventilate the bathroom properly! There are drips of yellowy water/ceiling & wall nastiness that drip down the walls because of the steam condensing on the ceiling, not hard to clean but happens all the time and really unsightly. Maintenance is pretty slow overall. Requests are put in online and sometimes it can be 1-2 weeks before they come around for a non emergency issue. The maintenance staff from my experience so far are not the most professional either, ranging from making ridiculously inappropriate comments to being on the phone with personal phone calls when in your home. However, they've always been nice enough and get the job done. Overall, if you have the money to go somewhere else, DO IT! However, for the price and considering the area is fairly safe and overall nice looking for Baltimore, it's ok. If money is an issue and and you can't be too picky, then it's not that bad, especially if you have 2 dogs/a large dog. Hearing the neighbors all the time can be pretty annoying though, but playing music helps drown them out if they're being kind of loud.
If you are looking for a new drug dealer than this is the perfect complex for your family. I don't even feel comfortable going outside after dark because of all of the violence and shooting. A man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in front of the rental office just a few months ago. The air conditioning is super old and will never cool your apartment. I keep the ac blasting 24 hours a day set on 50 (lowest setting) but the apartment will never get cooler than 77 degrees. There is a really bad mice and roach problem at this location. Most of my neighbors are talking about breaking their lease and messing up their credit because our families are not safe here. Too many thugs sitting around on the bus stops smoking marijuana. The smell gets in my house. The leasing staff is horrible. They constantly lie and take forever to fix anything. they are also lying about 24 hours maintenance. Unless your apartment is burning down or flooded, it will wait until the next business day. Yes, I have actually been asked is the place flooded or on fire. By far the worst place I have ever lived. I wouldnt wish this place on my worst enemy
We downsized from out Catonsville home on a fast sale and settlement. The place we thought we had lined up to rent fell through at the last minute and we needed a place FAST. They set us up and we thought of it as an emergency, make-do, it-will-have-to-work. I walk my dog at night. The staff is responsive. The grounds are well kept. The dumpsters are emptied regularly. I have been very pleased. This is coming from a 25-year homeowner. Negative: there is some drug activity, but it is non-violent and they leave me alone.
This place is disgusting. The apartments smell of mold and mildew; the hallways and laundry are filthy and unsafe. The area is crime ridden, and the office staff tries to hide it. The manager is unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Stay away.
I have lived here at Windsor Forest Apartments for a little over a year. It was very pleasant here, and the parking was excellent for the first 12 months. I recently found my neighbor deceased in the hallway from multiple stab wounds, and the rental office did not even send a letter to empathize with the horrific experience that I went thru. The apartments are not reasonable for the prices they charge, because of the apartments not having adequate updates. The cabinets are really old, and some barely shut. The bathroom walls have cheap paint that sweats when we take showers, and the windows do not have good locks, so bugs get in. The apartments are conveniently located by the highway, so I gave it 3 stars.
I used to live in these with my grandmother. the staff always was on time fixing things. they had great hospitality. I hope when I move there its still the same!
