Property Ratings at Windsor House Apartments
Community is kind but inside of apartments are very old. Maintenance will make you wish you never called. If you can ignore problems, this place is a hidden gem.

I lived at Windsor for 5 years. I moved because my son had a large dog that he wont live without. I enjoyed my years at Windsor. Love the room and amount of closet in my apt. You also have a storage space outside the apt. Any issues maintenance would quickly attend to. I was really surprised when I moved how much of my security deposit was refunded to me. My neighbors were friendly and polite, The pool was great. Now, if I have to give cons, sometimes people would leave their laundry in washer a little longer than necessary after done, the closets may come off the tracks if you dont make sure you dont pile stuff against the insides and the manager, Laura, will pull you up if you are not following apt policies. Which is why I believe she may get some negative reviews, but in hindsight, Im sure she has to enforce these rules as part of her job. I felt safe there, in my apt and walking to and from the stores. Liked the closeness to Target, Food Lion, Royal Farm , Chik Fila, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Kohls etc.... And I see they are opening a Dollar Tree and An Express Clinic. I really must like the neighborhood as I moved only 2 miles away. I got the keys to my new place Sept 13, but did not move out until end of my lease in Oct, because I knew I was going to miss my apt.
I love my new home! It's exactly what I wanted, the location, the amenities, the staff--all of this combined has made my moving and living experience "top quality." I was talking to my son about my new home and he said "I can see the happiness in your face," and I am very happy.
I'm a current resident and can't wait till my lease is up. I'm not a negative person and don't usually write reviews but I would not recommend Windsor House to anyone! Neighbors are obnoxiously loud at night and early morning (music). Floors are so loud because of the old hardwood, the floors look so aged, and when we moved in we could see every attempt at "patch" jobs they did to cover up holes, light switches didn't work properly, water damage under the sink was never fixed, floors were filthy when we moved in (walking around for an hour my socks were black) windows have dirt build up all around them did I mention LOUD neighbors.. Over priced for the quality, do not waste your time/money.
I highly recommended my apartment to anyone looking for a great rental experience. One problem I've always had with other apartments has been getting timely service. Well that ended when I moved to Windsor House Apartments. The service is prompt and professional. Sometimes I even my service orders filled the same day I call. I've never waited longer then one business day. Great job Windsor House!
If you're looking for an area that is merely a five minute walk from shopping and transportation, then this is the place for you. My family's car has recently broken down, and this is the best place for us to be without having a car. The leasing office is extremely helpful and polite. If you have any problems, they go out of their way to solve it. There's an apartment community pool, and playground within walking distance, as well. The apartments are very spacey for their price and I've had an overall lovely experience living here. I'd highly recommend.
My review is geared towards Kingston Townhomes that are owned by the same company as Windsor House, Apartment Services. Being a resident of Kingston Townhomes also allows me to enjoy the pool at Winsdor House Apartments. I moved in in May 2015 and I have loved it! When apartment services says they still care about you even after you move in and they mean it! I was wrongly billed for something the first month after I moved in and the leasing office took care of it asap and deleted the charges from my account. When I moved in the whole place was freshly redone with new appliances and cabinets. I have needed to go to the office a couple times about some maintenance issues and within 1-2 days they had someone out to fix it even though these things technically wasn't emergencies. I also have kids and they gave me a can of paint for touch ups without any hassles at all. So far I love it! The pool is also really really nice and even though I haven't been to it yet my neighbors have and they said its nice! The baby pool is located towards the back by the tress which causes a lot of Mosquitos but besides that I have heard nothing but great things about it. I am truly happy here. We have a huge, fenced back yard that we have to cut the grass ourselves but I'm okay with that. All the appliances are nice and not to cheap and I love the hard wood floor. The maintainer guys are very nice and so is the leasing office. The water here is also cheap. Like $2-3 every 2-3 months! Our neighbors are amazing and since this rental community is on the water I had neighbors give me free crabs and other stuff for the kids. The only thing that I don't like if because the community is so close to the water there are a lot of bugs! Ants are also a problem but you can tell the leasing office and will get someone out to spray for ants in no time.
loved the tour looking forward to move in , decorate and be happy as well as comfortable in a clean and quite environment
The Windsor House Apartments are very Spacious and Clean. The people that work in the office are very friendly, helpful, and they give very good customer service. The people that live here are also very friendly. I have only been at the apartment for a short time. What I have experienced so far has been all positive. I really like living here.
