After 6 years here we enjoy the privacy, safety, the pool, maintenance responsiveness, location and staff.

Everything is good but the community is supposed to be non-smoking and people are smoking in corridors, parking lots and on the trail. This is not what I was expecting. My decision was based on a non-smoking community.

Windsor Oak Creek is a great and safe environment. It is near many locations such as Fair Lakes shopping center, Fairfax Corner, and Fair Oaks Mall, which is very convenient.

This is an amazing community to live in. They truly care about those who live here.
I’ve been living here since 2020. Besides an unfortunate harassment of a nearby neighbor which ultimately subjected me to move to a different apartment on site, living here as been great. I am interested in renewing into a larger two bedroom this year.

It's a beautiful community. Management and Maintenance are excellent. Quiet and safe, close proximity to everything, beautiful nature trail, and serene pool. Many updates needed on the inside. Expensive for older buildings.

I have to be honest and say in many ways I feel things are worse since new management took over (Arbors to Windsor). I will share a few: 1) we used to get notices in the mail before our rent was due reminding us to pay (this was VERY useful in helping me remember to pay rent), now we get bills after rent is already due (why send a bill for something already paid for??) 2) this place has become a construction zone: the repainting did not improve the look of the place, the gym has not been usable... feels like I'm paying for amenities that dont exist 3) trees cut down in the path through the woods: it once looked nice there but now I see a wasteland of stumps 4) with previous management we were given free food, now we have expensive food trucks we need to pay for
So many great things about this neighborhood. Excellent Management and Facilities Staff. Very friendly and responsive to tenant needs. Planned get togethers fostering a sense of community. The apartment floor plans are wonderful and even include real wood burning fireplaces. I was stunned! The grounds are lovely, with a creek, nature trail, and common area with a fireplace, grill area, and tennis/basketball court to enjoy. Location is convenient to everything. And there’s even a shuttle service. This place truly has everything so check it out!

Quiet, serene, and peaceful community with plenty of parking. Looking forward to living here until retirement in a few years since our 4 year experience has been so good. Excellent management with great maintenance staff who are fully capable of satisfying tenants with their needs in a very timely manner as they arise. Gratefully, we found our apartment after selling our homes to enjoy the beauty of their wooded paths and gym facilities which are currently being expanded.

Maintenance workers are always professional and friendly.
Great location for apartment complex but your rental rates are based on property location. The shopping centers are approximately 1.0 mile away from the complex. The office staff and maintenance teams are very good. They are always communicating via email or cell phone about community improvements and etc. The online rental payment is very convenient but I don't like the 3rd party utility (Minol), based in Texas. All utilities (water, sewer, etc.) usage and charges need to be from Fairfax County, VA. Electric utilities is from Dominion Energy, Va. Thank you!

I moved into the Arbors at Fair Lakes in 2015 after having lived in two other apartment communities locally: * I left the first apartment community after 1 year because they jacked the rent up by 6.5% and tried to convince me that was normal for this area. Instead, I have been living in the Arbors for 4 years and my rent has gone up a total of 4.5% over that time. * I left the second community after my second lease because, while the rent was cheaper, their resident relations and facilities staff were both abysmal. I have had the exact opposite experience at the Arbors where the property manager knows me and my dog by name and all of my service requests are completed very quickly and completely. The Arbors has everything I need (including pool, gym, dog park) and is in close proximity to just about everything (2 movie theaters, Whole Foods, 5 shopping centers, and I-66 to name a few). I highly recommend this community to anyone who wants a good balance between location and price.

We have lived here 3 years, the management company makes this area like a comfortable community. There are always things going on pool parties, holiday parties. Maintenance has always been done in a timely manner and with the least of disruption to your schedule. They are doing many upgrades to the community, fire pit, grills and the pool area has been redone. You will feel comfortable in this community and I am so glad we found this place. We look forward to living here for many years to come. The apartments are roomy and have lots of closet space for storage.
My husband and I have been living at The Arbors for about three years now. I cannot describe how much we have enjoyed living here, and are sad to leave (we are only leaving because we recently bought a house). The office and maintenance staff are friendly, helpful, efficient, and easy to get a hold of. Together, they made this rental feel more like a home. The grounds are always perfectly manicured and taken care of. Even though people are coming and going, the community is very quiet. Since it is tucked back from the road, and surrounded by trees, it makes the community feel private and safe. There is a nature trail that circles the community, which is equipped with dog-waste stations, to ensure that the trail is clean at all times. ZRS has recently been making updates to freshen the look of the place, and it shows. From cabanas at the pool, to a new dog park, and updated units (we don't even live in one of the newest ones, and still love our unit), there is a little bit of something for everyone. The location of The Arbors cannot be beat. Right off of Fairfax County Parkway and close to Rt. 50/66, not to mention a free shuttle that makes rounds to the Vienna Metro, it is possible to get anywhere and everywhere quickly. If we hadn't recently purchased a home, we would definitely consider staying here.
