Property Ratings at Windsor Place Apartments
I only gave the 1 star because I had to. They care nothing about the safety of their residents. If you report a problem to you, they’ll tell you to just call the police, even if it something that they can do about it. They have no care about who comes in and out of buildings that are supposed to be “secured”. They spend their time and money fixing up the outside of apartment and landscaping. Meanwhile, the inside of the units are falling apart, literally making me and my family sick.

We are so sorry to hear that you haven't had a positive experience. Our top priority is that all our residents feel safe and comfortable in their homes and are disappointed that this hasn't been the case for you. If you would like to discuss your concerns please don't hesitate to stop by the office or reach out by email. Kristen_Shawl@edwardrose.com
I’ve been here for over a year, and I honestly wish that I didn’t renew my lease. They went up on rent when nothing is getting better. The apartments are so and constantly falling apartment and all the care about is the outside landscape. Maintenance takes weeks, sometimes a month to come. They’ve shut our water off TWICE with no notification. They allow residents to have more the 2 assigned park spots, leaving the other people who actually need them out of luck. Save yourself the trouble and do not move here.

Thank you for reviewing Windsor Place Apartments. We are sorry that you have not had a good experience living in our community. Oftentimes, we believe that when a person renews their lease it is because they hare happy here. We apologize for the water shut-offs, which will occur without notice in order to make an emergency repair. Will you please contact the Property Manager if you ever feel that your service request in not being taken care of in a reasonable time frame? This will help us to have a better understanding of your specific concern and can assist us with resolving the issue(s). To clarify, there are not assigned parking spaces, except for the carports. Windsor Place has been making numerous improvements over the last 5 years, but we recognize that more are needed and are working toward that goal. We appreciate our residents and appreciate you taking the time to voice your opinion. We hope that you will reach out to us so we can resolve any issues that you encounter.
I've lived at Windsor Place 5 yrs. The management is always very friendly and helpful. The maintenance workers are quick to fix any issues that may arise, they also do a great job keeping all of the common areas clean!

Thank you kindly for you nice review of Windsor Place Apartments.
Apartment was clean, rather quiet and up to date. I had a few questions when moving in. The leasing people were so very kind and told me to call anytime. I'm happy to have been able to get this apartment.

Thank you for your kind review of Windsor Place and our team.
My husband and I have had quite a few problems with Windsor Place. Even when working with Kristen, the property manager. She acts very helpful and is a very nice woman (the nicest employee we have dealt with other than Adam) but you never end up getting anywhere when working with her. For example, two months ago I paid my rent 31st of August.(I’ve never had a late payment since the day that I moved in) 4 days later I notice the money was never deducted from my bank account, so I brought it up to an office worker by the name of Beth. She continued to tell me that my bank account was closed due to insufficient funds and that I had $50 in late fees/NSF fees. Beth told me I needed a letter from the bank claiming it was a bank error in order for them to help me at all. Thinking it was a bank error I drove to the bank and was dumb founded when the teller printed my statements and it showed that Windsor Place hadn’t even attempted to take the money from my account. After driving back and forth between the office and the bank for 3 hours, I got everything I could to prove that it was a mistake on Windsor’s part. Beth wasn’t helping, got an attitude and continued to make me feel as though everything was my fault. I made it known that I felt as though I was not getting the proper help, thankfully that is when Kristen spoke with me. She told me we would work together to figure this out, I was ecstatic. A few days later Kristen called and was nice enough to apologize saying that it was an error on Windsor’s end and that she would have all of the fees removed. I was so happy thinking this would be the end of the problems. Needless to say that was actually the beginning of this nightmare. The next month came and the same ordeal happened. Fees and all. This time Kristen claimed that I had no account with Edward Rose and that I was logging in through an old roommates account which was causing all of these issues.....this upset me because once again I was told it was my fault. That was not and has never been the case. I’ve had my own log in to Edward Rose since the day I moved in. I even logged into my own account that I pay my rent from, in the office while speaking with Adam during the first debacle. Again they had to remove the fees from our accounts, because it was not actually our fault. Then I was told that I need to pay rent from my husbands account from here on out. This has been nothing but an inconvenience.

We appreciate your review. We understand that there were some issues with your account, and that none of them were due to anything you had done, but rather they were our issues. We are truly sorry that you had to encounter these problems and have taken steps to reduce the likelihood of this happening with you or anyone else in the future. We hope that we can work toward restoring your trust in us.
They will use any excuse to keep your security deposit. Our son lived there for two years, and left it in better shape than when he moved in, and they still kept his security deposit because some of the many layers of paint on the bathtub had peeled off.
Living in a 2br 2 bath apartment, Rent is reasonable for the space. I am comfortable living here but it does come at a small price. The holes in the walls were patched before I moved in but thats the extent of it. The drywall mud was never sanded or painted over. The power consistency is terrible. I lose power at least once a day for 10 seconds or so, enough to wipe all the clocks and shut my pc tower off. I've developed a habit of saving school work every 5mins and had to invest in a battery backup. The lights constantly flicker even when my ac / furnace is turned off. This could be an isolated case to my apartment but after a few maintenance calls and having them leave notes about replacing stuff in the fuse box the problem still persists. Its quite frustrating. In the winter time my furnace pops its breaker constantly. If I'm not home during the day to reset it, the apartment will become freezing cold. The walls are paper thin as well. Clear enough to hear word for word what my neighbors talk about daily. I can also hear my neighbor using the bathroom (I'll spare the details) This is something that after a few months of living here you just get used to and kind of forget about. I am on the 3rd floor (top) in a corner apartment so I don't have to share as many walls as most. The common hallways usually smell like weed but it is 2018 and I assume that's to be expected anywhere these days, Its not my biggest concern but its usually the first thing guests point out when I invite them over. This may sound all negative but the space is well worth it. 1000sqft feels very comfortable and worth all the negatives. Just make sure you get renters insurance. The staff has been on point and maintenance calls are usually quick. but the buildings are becoming outdated and its starting to show.
There may be some sugar for new renters but once you've lived here for a while you will be harrassed and belittled by the staff. I'm a 7 year renter who is finally fed up, here are some reasons why: *A leak caused the bathroom ceiling to sag. It was "fixed" repeatedly but always came back. For over a year my bathroom ceiling was either sagging or had a gaping hole in it. *I was harassed by staff to remove my balcony garden. It was not an infraction so I never received a leasing violation. After the second year of condescending notes on my door from maintenance I finally just removed my garden. Hornets inhabited my now empty balcony, and after 6 or more calls to the office about it I gave up and simply don't use my balcony anymore. *After living for over a year on a month to month agreement they tried to evict me for one late payment. I came home from work to an occupancy check on my door and had to call and beg the office manager to let me keep my home. I don't use the term beg lightly. *Maintnenace has used their time in my home to lodge more than one false accusation about apartment infractions. I have been in the phone for hours trying to clear up those false accusations. Every accused infraction has been refuted this proving they were either money grabs or harrassment. *Office staff are intentionally condescending, expect them to try and order you around or break you down. They treat you like a subordinate not like a paying customer.
I only lived there for 1 year and I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay. Of course I had some issues along the way, (gnats, elderbugs, water had too much copper in it at one point) but the situations were rectified. It never took maintenance longer than 1 week to come out. Rent was very reasonable for amenities and location. If I could move Windsor place to where I live now and sign another lease I would.
I sold my home and was looking for an apartment that was 1 to 2 bedroom. the apartments that I was shown look nothing compared to the pictures on the brochure. not all apartments have washer/dryer hookups, I wanted one updated, not one stuck in the 80,s! while the apartments are good size, the interior leaves much to be desired! mold on the shower door and tile. not impressed! molding in a bedroom had mold or not painted right, but all I could see was brown or black near the carpet. carpet was kinda dingy as well. I was looking for a place closer to work, but I think, I'll look elsewhere.
This was the second time renting and it was complete opposite from my first move. I was told for the rest of the month it was a prorated amount, basic math. they gave me my total and everything was fine. That was the ONLY part that was fine. Coming to my door I notice it had been kicked off the hing, the inside bolt lock panel was split in half. Immediately I call leasing and they say oh the door is on back order. So then I enter my apartment and there is paint on floor, huge stains and the carpet doesn't even meet the wall. The bathroom mirror had the edges black from the backing peeling off. Absolutely terrible. I fill out every single detail of flaws. I am being serious when I say OVER a full page, I had to flip the sheet over. I brought the paper back and tried to talk to the front about my door.I sent pictures and asked when it would be fixed along with the other defects. The only thing they fixed was my door and it took over two months!!Went to put in my 30 day notice and since I was two days late said I had to pay two extra days of the prorated amount. Ok no problem until she came back and said almost my full month. I was like woah that's definitely not right my entire rent is only $40 more than that amount (my lease was up on the 12th of that month). I said there is absolutely no way that's correct. She said let me check again, comes back 5 minutes later to give me amount of still less than half of the first mistake. Again I said that is not right, if it is prorated it's too much. Now I'll cut my story short. The "account manager" comes out to try to "explain" the math. I said you are not prorating the correct amount. She kept telling me no, and started to get extremely rude. I ask to speak to the manager, in which said is in but does not have the time to talk me. she said "do you want me to write out the math on the back" in a very rude tone. I looked at her and said yes please. After waiting another 4 or so minutes and she comes back to say oh no this is your amount, the computer calculated wrong and we won't charge you anymore. I said yes that is the correct amount with the correct calculations. Terrible management and staff. Again if you absolutely cannot afford anywhere this place would be last resort. If they did this to me and tried bullying me into signing the wrong amount I wonder how many other people they've done this too. I hope they get better management. Again I only wrote this review because the way I was treated was unprofessional.
I'm apartment hunting with my fiancé currently and we really enjoy the space and the amenities that are included in rent. We are definitely thinking about moving in here within the next month or two!(:
I have been living at Windsor apartment for approximately five years is a wonderful place to live is like a little community the managers are excellent friendly my apartment is beautiful and I'm grateful to be able to live in Windsor Place my apartment complex where I live is quiet I feel safe in my apartment .
if you want to rent here be very careful that you see the apartment before you rent they are notorious for showing you a model then sticking you into a mess of an apartment nothing like what you see in the model. The manager hides from the renters and never ever will she talk with you or reason with you about your complaints, oh yes and no need to contact "MARK" management they will never get back to you. Once you have rented your on your own. Maintenance here really sucks it took them five separate times to come to my apartment to fix a screen 9 months to replace a broken window and 9 months to attempt to restore my bath tub that I still cant use because it is so dirty. One man came to fix my screen the fifth time and being so angry to have to come back he literally ripped the old screen out in pieces almost knocking a table and radio (bose) over. I have called for service several times and unless you are willing to allow them in your apartment with out you being home forget it they never come or maybe come a week later all the time your waiting at home for them to show up and never call to give you a time and date just told you are on a list. This is just a tiny bit of the problems me and several of my neighbors have had. also make sure you settle on a price they seem to charge higher if your single and a man. The manager will tell you her crew is stellar but wont tell you the maintenance manager is her friend that followed her here from another apartment sight, maybe because they were inept at their other job. All I can say be carefull the turn over is great here and there is no compromise management is always right
This complex has it together they are always cleaning up the grounds. Most of the people are very nice. It's much better than when I lived here 20 years ago. The apartment is nicer, except for my l-shaped kitchen, to small.
apartments are nice, staff is o.k. pool is well kept, easy access to highway.. overall nice place to live
I moved into my apartment as a sub-lease last November, 2014, 2 weeks before Thanksgiving holiday. The rental started fine, but I noticed others vastly moving out within the first couple weeks, as the holiday approached; I soon found the reasoning why. Over the Thanksgiving holiday period, my sons visited me and from there it became as an apartment that I would never want to pay rent for, although I stayed in order to provide some stability in a habitat they could also call home. With the weather becoming colder, the heat turned on and up more, I noticed the cigarette smoke seeping through the vents at a horrendous rate. Not only did the tobacco smoke seep through, but with that came an unfathomable marijuana smell that aided in two trips to the emergency room for my eldest son, who has asthma, over Christmas break period. This continued after numerous phone calls, and letters of complaint to management, as well as local authorities. To date, this issue is still occurring, which is the reasoning behind my intent to vacate and move to another venue. Not only did the complaints not get adhered too, but as of now the management of the complex is attempting to refurbish, but in a very poor manner. The crew they've hired is skeptical to me, nonetheless. As I arrived home this evening, there was a crew member on my patio, supposedly painting, though he was crouched down, on his phone and smoking a cigarette while my glass sliding security door was cracked open, cigarette smoke seeping into my apartment. I confronted the crew member and they stated they were "on break". This helpless situation is not wished upon to my worst enemy, let alone will I ever recommend this complex to anyone, rather just the opposite; DO NOT LEASE from this management company anywhere at all. It's a disgusting atmosphere and very poorly cared for/maintained. I am intending on moving to another venue this coming September, 2015, which is a much more positive, yet costly move, as the apartment is more to rent, requiring me to maintain a second job. As a U.S. Navy Veteran, teacher, and youth program coordinator in the city of Davison, I'm dumbfounded as to the lack of care for others by others in a higher power. It's unfortunate that I'll have to work two positions from teaching school at 7am to 4:15pm, to running the youth programs at the local athletic club from 4:30pm to 9:30pm four to five evenings per week just to financially stay afloat and afford better living conditions.
I lived here back when I was a child with my mother and I really liked them. Nice sized rooms, spacious bathrooms and the closet space was great to store things in. I really want to move back in with a couple buddies of mine (:

I live in the first floor and I have had two leaks one in the wall and now one in the ceiling. It took them 3 months of me complaining to fix the wall now it is 3+ months for the ceiling that is still not fixed. People in office are rude and treat you like you are stupid I wish I would have never signed another lease with them will without a doubt be moving out
This place is all about the hard sell. Get you in and then you become dirt and then every complaint is met with "we are really busy" . Building is horrible, paper thin floors and walls. I can hear people urinating above us (and so much more) like living in a "pay by the hour motel" but with mortgage payment. MOLD In windows. Horrible parking. Rude inconsiderate tenants. Office staff have no training and are for the most part useless. Please research and read all reviews from all sites regarding this place. *on their own site the bad reviews disappear!!!! Wish we had.
do not move here. terrible management and people working here. i have to get on them everyday to get anything done.....and ive been here 3 months and nothing is yet to be done and ive talk to pretty much everybody and nobody knows anything
For the most part, I would say that my experience at Windsor has been a pleasant one. They are not luxury apartments but they are not a hole in the wall either. The office staff and very kind; maintenance employees are wonderfully fast!
My husband and i moved in about a month ago, everyone in the staffing office are very nice. The maintance here is great ! The pool is clean. The apartments are decent size. Theres a lot of storage space :) Bathroom is nice and big!
