Elan is gorgeous and the folks at the front desk are super helpful. I smile every time I walk into the lobby.

It's very so-so. I love the location, I love what I've made of my home, and I love the rooftop views. But there's a lot of faults in Grey Star as a property management company - from the constant turnover (which causes delays, inconsistencies, lack of attention, etc) to a lack of prioritization or implementation in things that matter (feedback - actionable, tangible follow up on requests/needs/feedback/communication from residents). Parking is way overpriced and there's been a lot of issues with the garage in my few months living here. It's fine, you can tell they're trying, but ultimately they don't implement things that actually matter to residents.

This apartment community has been a great place to live. The neighborhood is quiet and has easy access to food/entertainment/grocery stores. The apartments feel pretty sound proof, the grounds are always clean, and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. I’ve been very happy living here!

Overall I love this property - It's generally very clean, quiet, well kept. Management is kind and enthusiastic.

The rooftop is one of the best thing at Elan Uptown Flats. I have never enjoyed such amenities. The view is so perfect that you can literally spend your entire day on rooftop. Moreover, the apartments are so spacious and clean, it is a great place to live. Overall the community has great amenities and apartment.

Overall, we've found the leasing staff at Elan apartments to be really helpful. They made our move-in experience seamless. Kirsten has been really helpful throughout the leasing process. We also like the apartment layout and feel that space is properly utilized. One area of improvement would be the take-out trash service (service where butler helps clear out your trash) due to which residents tend to leave their trash cans outside from previous night resulting in an unpleasant odor occupying the corridors. We would appreciate if this is looked into and a better alternative is found. We're personally fine in clearing out our own trash.

It is a great community in terms of location and access to Elliot bay for walks, nearby grocery stores and overall security.

Elan is in a great location. It’s amenities are top notch and work orders received and acknowledged right away. Kirsten, at the front, is incredibly helpful and super efficient. I would not be here without her.

I lived here for 3 years in both the West and East buildings Pros: *Great rooftop! Beautiful views * Well equipped gym- I nixed my gym membership and worked out at the gym for the 3 years I lived here. It has a good amount of equipment;a versatile, modern, and clean. The cleaning staff clean it daily and it isn't usually too crowded. *Minimal package issues- *Cool resident giveaways via HelloAlfred- Residents received lots of cool stuff from HelloAlfred. I loved getting free, yummy booze from them. *Well maintained doggy run- Truly one of the cleanest doggy runs I've seen. The area was cleaned by staff frequently. You do have your usual doggy run issues like owners not picking up after their dogs at times, but the staff did a great job keeping the space clean. Cons: *Climate Pledge arena traffic- The neighborhood was pretty quiet and not very trafficked before the arena was done being built. Though, ever since it opened, there's a lot of foot and car traffic. This makes it almost impossible to leave your house without getting stuck in traffic. There's an event just about every day of the week (even on weekdays), which doesn't help. *Increase in break ins- The complex started getting hit with an increase in break-ins. One example- I was once sitting in the board room working on stuff and had someone who was clearly on drugs just barge in because there's no lock in that room. *We once had groceries delivered and left in the lobby for less than 2 hours and someone broke in, stole them, and proceeded to sleep on the lobby couch. We called security but they didn't come until ~3hours. *The garage door malfunctions and remains open at times. This means people come in and do things like sleep next to your car (which happened to my wife and I). She had to crawl over this person who was sleeping next to our car, and the apartment security was pretty useless. They, again, took over 3 hours to come. In fact, the cops showed up before they did, which is saying a lot in Seattle. *Elevator takes forever *The restrooms by the gym are usually closed- This is especially annoying if you are hosting guests in the clubroom or if you are working out and need to use the restroom. *THE WORST ONE OF ALL- An overly sensitive fire alarm WOW. I hated this aspect of the units I lived in because we couldn't cook anything without setting the alarm off. This happened in both the West and East units, and it happened despite us opening windows or turning on the exhaust fan.

Nice new building, wide selection of floorplans - really like my loft unit! Great roof deck with wonderful view and having a functional gym on-site is definitely a plus. Staff are responsive and friendly.

Elan Uptown Flats is a great place to live, with amazing views of Puget Sound and the Space Needle from the rooftop, great amenities and a great maintenance team. We really enjoy living here!

We love renting here. Great location and very dog friendly -- our dog loves walking by the leasing office because he usually gets treats from the friendly staff. Everything is comfortable and well maintained, including the gym and rooftop deck. Adrian and the rest of the maintenance team are excellent and have been quick to fix the few issues we've had (including replacing a refrigerator the same day we noticed an issue).

Nice amenities, great rooftop, the property is newly constructed and is in a really great location (close to everything you can hope for) but that's the only plus. I liked my initial stay but could not wait my lease to end afterwards. The move out experience only worsened my opinion about Elan and Greystar properties! If your apartment is facing towards the alley, there will be zero to minimal sunlight, your apartment will be completely and closely surrounded with other apartments so you will have no privacy. A balcony or decent windows would have been good but most apartments do not have it and it gets pretty depressing here specially in WFH situation. You will be lured with great new lease promos but once your first lease expires, your experience will turn around. New apartments are being offered at 50% lower rent + 3 months free + Free Parking! But you will be offered 50% higher than the current market and their own rate (seriously!) for renewing your existing lease and paid parking. So once you are a resident, they will not hesitate to charge you whatever they like - no wonder recently a lot of people moved out! You will end up bringing "a lot" of dog hairs through your shoes to your home and car. At times the common area couches were so filled with pet hairs, I did not even wanted to sit there at all (No, I am not exaggerating). I have lived in several other apartments in the area where dogs are allowed but never experienced this. Management's behavior during the pandemic wasn't responsible at all. Most other apartments in the area are encouraging residents to wear masks, have posted notices at several places in the building to do so and encouraging only one party at a time to take elevator to minimize the spread but here despite of explicitly requesting the management to do so, they ignored! During the beginning and peak of pandemic I did hesitated to even go out because you will always run into some resident in elevator or common areas who is not wearing a mask or practicing social distance. Finally, regarding the move out expenses, it was a nightmare to follow up with these guys to seek explanation of extraneous charges. I had to send numerous emails or make phone calls but gave up in the end - I guess that's what they bank for. I left my apartment darn clean, no damages at all, installed nothing on the walls yet was charged double the paint cost per their own move out estimate and instructions.

Wonderful experience, we're looking forward to our new apartment and can't wait to enjoy the rooftop.

We moved here from NY and had to pick an apartment from pictures and virtual tours. Elan was the most responsive and helpful, and had the most courtesy for people who couldnt see the apartment in person. And honestly, the apartment is better than the pictures. So pleased!

A great location but attention from the staff is really spotty.

This is a great place to live. The apartments are in impeccable condition with high-quality finishes and appliances, the common spaces are beautiful and clean, and the roof top view is hard to beat. And awesome location where it's easy to walk to all your needs, right next to Seattle Center, and an easy bus ride to downtown.

The staff at Elan Uptown Flats have been friendly and accomodating throughout the entire move-in process. I'm very happy with my decision to live here.

Elan Uptown Flats is a first-class experience. I've been in the building 9 months and we've yet to experience any significant issues. We take advantage of the many community spaces including the gym and the rooftop patio. The staff is friendly, professional, informed and helpful. They truly care about the residents in the building and work to be sure our needs are met.

I moved in a week ago. Everyone Ive dealt with has been kind and helpful especially the staff. I love the finishes throughout the building and the views. Very well run, maintained, and designed community.

We love it here - the location, the view, the amenities. Every time I come home, I feel lucky that I get to live here. Dave and Kim have been great the whole process and we have enjoyed our time here!
