The entire place (inc the buildings, the parking lot and etc) is run down, the maintenance is slow, appliances are old and poorly functioning, rent is high and the location is eh at best. Any maintenance tickets will either be dismissed or ignored - your thermostat/AC or washer doesn't work? Good luck. The management will not keep the promises made prior to signing the lease either, so just take your money elsewhere. P.S: Oh and paid reviews? nice

I'm renting a two-bedroom apartment for the summer and have so far only had positive experiences with the place and staff. I'm fairly certain the kitchen and laundry room appliances were all brand new, and maintenance responded to a leaky water faucet and jammed garbage disposal in a few days. I've slept with the windows open and have found the area to be generally quiet and peaceful.

Property management is only interested in collecting your rent. Built right into the lease are clauses about quiet neighbors, prohibited work on cars, prohibitions on grills on the balconies (also against the law). With several of these complaints given to management, nothing has been resolved. Instead they would rather a person who rightfully complains is forced to move out so that they do not have to worry about doing anything beyond collecting rent. 3.5 years of living here, always paying rent without issue, never having complaints against me, they have decided to not offer renewal, going so far as to ask me to cease communications with them entirely. This is a property management group that has no care for its tenants. If you want to overpay for an average apartment, maybe this works for you. If you want a management staff that upholds their end of the contract and cares about their tenants, look elsewhere. There are far nicer apartments for the price you will pay here. There are far cheaper properties of like quality in the area.

Nasty carpet, very old building, AC didn’t work the entire first summer we were here, door frames popping off walls, old appliances, maintenance steals, unsafe for children.

Ants, outdated, thin unsealed windows, unkept parking lots and common areas, leaves everywhere whether it's fall or not, make sure you are upstairs or you will be miserable from neighbors walking all over your quiet enjoyment. Staff is nice, but that won't cover up the fact that their communication needs work as well as their attention to detail. Snow removal is also minimal and not thorough, plan on walking on ice all winter with beat up parking lots and lazy maintenance. Been here 4 months, should have left after one. :( Dog crap everywhere, bass playing from random cars constantly. People will ding your doors and not care, food delivery people will not be able to find your place, heat is ancient and will cost you twice the normal.
I love living here! It is located right next to the East Pikes Peak library and George Fellows park, between Academy and Union. The rent is very reasonable considering the location. These buildings are a little older, but the management does upgrades when possible and the units are well maintained. It is a very quiet community and while you may not have a view of the mountains from your patio, there are lots of trees that contribute to the serene surroundings. The office staff is so friendly; they all know you by name, and my maintenance requests were addressed the next day. I could go on all day about the reasons I love Windtree!
This apartments pricing may look great on the outside until you step inside a unit. Everything is dated to 1985. The carpets have clearly never been cleaned, the shower is old, the ac is very loud, window blinds are falling apart, patch work is noticeable and flimsily. Car ports are a nice touch, unless you have two cars and the other has to walk a block to get home. Ohh watch out the parking lot has a lot of pot holes, trash and glass all over the place. The hot tub works for 3 days and bam it's down for another week. The apartment complex is pet friendly for a price.
Apartments have large bedrooms. New carpets and patio door. Over sized patio or balcony. Central air and wood burning fireplace. We feel at home! Oh, and our dogs love it here too!
