Property Ratings at Windwood Place Apartments
I lived over on Glenwood Court for 3 years from 2017-2020 and has a great experience leasing from Windwood Place Apartments. I just moved back into the neighborhood and was happy with the move in process. The office staff was very nice and sat down with me to go over my application and next steps. Looking forward to getting back into the neighborhood and calling it home,
These apartments are completely out of date. There is no website and everything has to be done in person. It's way past the new millennium. Every apartment complex needs to be able to have an online presence.
I have been living here for about 2 years now and I have only seen it get better Windwood is defiantly trying to give this place the face lift it needed
Every experience I had from picking up my application to moving in has been nothing but the best, the office staff is very helpful and when I have had any kind of maintenance issue they resolve it right away. As far as other reviews I did indeed get to see my apartment before moving in and infect was not to keen on the layout and they allowed me to see another one and choose what one I liked. I have not seen any rodents as the grounds are kept very neat and tidy. I would recommend this complex to my friends and family for sure !!!
My daughter lived there. HORRIBLE!! First, the office gave her a hard time to move there like it was some swanky property. The office person that you initially deal with is RUDE RUDE RUDE!! My daughters furnace didn't click on unless you put it on 80 then never really warmed up right if the weather was brutally cold. They sent someone to come look at it and they said "nothing was wrong with it". Idiots!! Then my daughter had a horrible smell coming from below her apartment which ended up being rodents and even kittens were born under there. The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING!!! And I mean everything! If your neighbor sneezes, you can yell God bless you and they can hear you! Summer is brutal as there are kids hanging out all hours of the night. I dont know what was worse...the noise in the summer outside or the noise coming from the other apartments inside!! This place was originally established as low income housing and Winwood is trying to up the price and make it more "modern". The apartments are horrible, old and cheap. The pictures you see above are a very well put together model !! Not what you actually get! BEWARE!!!!! You get what you pay for!
you are not allowed to see apts only model (Buyer Beware)
Been living here for 1 year , just renewed my lease and what do you know? A rat problem!!!!!!!! They’re doing nothing to fix it and get nasty when you try to complain. I’m going to break my lease soon. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would.
This place is horrible, they are rude and disrespectful and unit was rat infested .
this is a gang infested area that lacks police patrol. there is also a bad rat problem. pizza lady just got robbed at gunpoint 4 days ago. there is an unsolved murder from less than a month ago. they let people move in next door with dogs, as long as they get their pet deposit, dogs bark all day long. per their own maintenance supervisor the average new stay is 3-4 months for new tenants. this is not a safe area. rents are cheap but your safety is more important.
spray paint on a lot of the buildings, a cop told me its a local gang graffiti, they're are constantly painting over it. There is a serious rat problem. and rats don't seem to be afraid. they gnaw through walls and get in. the consensus of the other tenants in neighborhood leads me to believe its a rats paradise there. neighbor guys car got vandalized. another's dog got kidnapped. i'm constantly watching my back. I shouldn't have to live like a hermit, but I do for safety reasons. it gets better then worse again as tenants move in and out. been bad here last 2 years.
moved in there in the winter, was quiet. then seasoned changed and atmosphere changed. roving bands of teens, and bikes getting stolen. loud music. We want to move but I cant afford it. currently living in agony
I was in fear for my life. I moved after 3 months. told Georgette about drug dealing, loud music, violent brawls, and she told me to go ahead and move and we will sue you. I gave them notice, and I dear them to sue me. their maintenance guys a alcoholic and will literally come to you apartment reeking of booze. worst 3 months of my life.
graffitti, home invasions, robberies, muggings, especially windwood court itself. not a very safe place. police patrols are lacking as well
This is my first year living here and the staff is helpful and welcoming. the units are newly remodeled and have functional layouts. great space and storage inside the units. the grounds outside are well kept and the maintenance staff is wonderful.
