Situated just over three miles northwest of Downtown Minneapolis, Glenwood Junction consistently ranks as one of the best suburbs in Minneapolis. There’s a diverse renter population here, including families, students, commuting professionals, and everyone in between. Residents praise the area for its attractive streets, lush landscape, nearby parks, and top-notch schools.
There’s a modest selection of restaurants, shopping centers, and entertainment options scattered around the neighborhood, the bulk of which you’ll find along Highway 55. But the main calling card of Glenwood Junction is Theodore Wirth Regional Park, and the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden. Both green spaces give the area a lush feel and make it a welcome escape from the city that lies just a few minutes away.

Property Ratings at Winnetka Village Apartments
When you move out they will come up with unccessary charges just to deduct from your deposit. Even if you turn in the keys they will stay charge you for not retuning keys
They will be nice to you at time until you move in, they will unnecessarily charge you for every maintenance call you made upon you moving out.
Property is old, walls and doors are paper thin. You will hear everything. I lived on the first floor and could hear clear as day any conversations or movement in the apartment above mine as well as out in the hallway. Kept me up most nights and most certainly interferes with working from home. Drove me out of the apartment. In a 2 bedroom one of the bedrooms doesn’t have air conditioning flowing through it so it is unbearable to sleep in the summer. Nothing to fix it unless you use multiple fans. Management is incredibly unhelpful and slow to respond. They don’t care and will pass off any complaint as your own fault. Please avoid wasting your money here.
They take your security deposit once you move out. They charge you for cleaning even though you spend hours cleaning and carpet professionally cleaned. $30/hr which they took $240. 3 fires at this apartment. maintenance is hard to get a hold of. They never fix what you call them for. They tell you it seems to work right now or put a patch on things. When you move out they charge you for all these maintenance that they should fixed when you moved in.

I’ve lived here for a year. Water has been pouring into my apartment for 2 days. Can’t get ahold of anyone so it’s just been pouring into our apprtment. I guess the apartment above ours has a backed up sink that they just left overflowing. 3 fires since we’ve lived here. Not easy to get ahold of anyone. Smells bad.

I am happy to say I just renewed my lease. I wanted to write a review now that I have been here over a year. I Love my apartment, floor plan, closets, storage room, & view. It's very quiet and I don't hear my neighbors. This is a older building with no frills, unlike a couple of the brand new apartments I have lived in that had a theatre, fitness room, etc. which I enjoyed and paid dearly for. I decided I wanted to spend my money on travel and experiences not rent. I'm so glad I moved here. My must haves are underground garage, top floor, deck and elevator which I have. The price is great. The only thing it doesn't have is laundry in my apartment. I am used to the laundry room now and I rarely run into anyone or have to wait to use it. Friendly neighbors when you see someone. I also was not used to an office that isn't staffed all day that I could walk into. With that being said, I haven't had a problem reaching them thru emails/texts and they are quick to get back to me with answers or solutions to my questions/concerns. The are a small staff so I can now see why having an open office would take time away from everyone which probably helps to keep the rent down. The maintenance staff (Scott & Kyle) are Great! I just had a new screen and deck done and they were very helpful, respectful of my time, and both are great. Our caretaker Trisha is very reachable by text also. I almost didn't move here as I read a couple of reviews that were not good, but I haven't found any issues living here. I hope this helps you!

This place is bad news they have no clue how to run a business with good customer service, if you have a problem with your apt. you cant get a hold of any body to get it fixed there is people in the office you knock on the door no one answers, you call you have to leave a message and they dont get back to you. To be employed by these people is sad, my building had a really super nice lady I knew worked hard at cleaning this place! I just found out they kicked her out gave her two days with no where to go!! I am telling every body I can dont live here you wontbe happy!! I am moving out asap I dont care if I brake the lease, I am done with these people!

I will start off by saying who the caretaker of the main middle building has done an out standing job on cleaning the lobby, halls, stairs, laundry rooms! The outside looks very attractive!! I really thought I found my new home there, the leasing agent Randi was not concerned that I was very interested in living there, all I heard about from her was how the new caretaker was'nt doing her job, when I made the comment how great the building looked from four months before when I checked into living there. It was dirty and looked unkept and this time the place looked fantastic. I would not live there this time because Randi put down her coworkers and that is a problem that a future renter does'nt need to hear, team work is what I would want to see if I lived there! I would say do not rent there! If you had a complaint or problem it would not be heard or taken care of!

Horrible, unresponsive, ignarant, management..so much mistreatment and misunderstanding with the workers and management..if you dont want any headache i would not recomend to live here..its a pain in .... i am so glad i finally moved out...do not answer phone calls, can call back in up to 2 weeks...
Kitchen sink has been dripping for 2 weeks, hot water comes and goes, and the property itself is in rough shape. We have a fenced in patio on one of the buildings and it has turned into a death trap. Putting a maintenance order in for anything will guarantee that it won't be done for at least a month. If you don't absolutely have to live here, I wouldn't advise it.
I've lived here for 5 years only because I really don't want to deal with the headache of moving and searching for an apartment again. I currently live here but I've been unhappy with this place ever since the first few days I moved in. Where to start, first of all, the walls are paper thin. I'm not exaggerating about this. I can hear the lady below me coughing in her bed at night. I can hear all of the neighboring apartments' tv and even which show they're watching. The building shakes whenever any of my close neighbors close their sliding door. On another note, many things are falling apart. My balcony is unsafe due to deterioration and animal/insect burrowing in the wood. There are hornets nest in all of the siding in the building. So many that I can't sit on my balcony and I can see them swarming around all of the other buildings as well. My dishwasher doesn't work very well, the screens are falling out of the frames, every one of my close neighbors smoke and the office is shady and SUPER cheap. They are not understanding and act like you're inconveniencing them at all times. They will enter your apartment often to check for water leaks because the water bill goes up (even though lessees pay for their water) and they will shut off the water for repairs quite often. If you want to take a shower, too bad. They will tow your car at the drop of a hat and they will decide to plow when it's gotten so bad that people are getting stuck. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's cheap, but after all the negatives this place has, it's so not worth it. Pay the extra $50/month somewhere else--trust me.
