Property Ratings at Wolf Run
I would like to give a huge shout out to Hannah. Please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong. So I am a transfer student from FL.looking for an apartment in Reno area to be close to the college. Hannah picks up and immediatly greets me and makes me feel welcomed. I talk to her for a while and find out that this is student living, which doesn't suit me as well since I am a single father bringing a child along. The conversation could of ended there. Instead she went above and beyond by helping with suggested areas to look at for my budget, location and more. She is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. She genuinely cared to help and I like that so thank you Hannah and keep up the great work.
I stayed here for two years and just recently moved out in July 2023. I received my final statement about two days ago and saw charges for cleaning the carpet and bathroom and stovetop, among other things. There was normal wear and tear on the couches that I actually brought up to management a few times along with the final inspection and they are still charging me and my roommate $550 EACH simply for the couch. I have videos of move in and move out showing it was cleaned to nearly the same way as when I moved in. They will charge you as much as possible for cleaning fees for an apartment that basically looks better then when moved in. Even if you cleaned, they will still charge you without any photo evidence. Now that I am trying to dispute it they are sending me to email contacts that don't exist and will not address my concerns over the phone. They have entirely screwed me and my family over with this and wont even respond.
I lived here from August to April in 2021-2022. Management changed in that time and, while I thought it would get better, it ended up getting worse. Their communication is severely lacking and you are not able to speak to any of the managers when you need to. Maintenance takes forever and rarely would get to the project. Before we even moved in, they made us sign an addendum that changed the way they were doing utilities. I moved in the next day so I was pretty much forced to sign it. In February, my window ended up breaking due to structural issues. I contacted them several times over several months and no one ever came in to even look at the window. I had an appointment to meet with and talk to maintenance, and no one ever showed up or contacted me that they weren’t coming. This problem caused my room to be severely cold as it was during the middle of winter. The final straw in April was when our entire townhome ended up getting mold. The maintenance guy that came in told my roommates that it was very likely the reason we were all sick and that the ventilation was not up to par. Instead of fixing the problem, they told us a spray that WE could go buy and use it on the mold… my one roommate did buy it and it did not work. I ended up moving towards the end of April due to unsafe living conditions. My parents and I tried contacting a manager multiple times but they never got back to us. Finally I went in person to deliver a letter and turn in my keys since they had told me the general manager would be there. They confirmed that she was there but she couldn’t see me right then. I waited for an hour to talk to her before someone came out and told me that she would not meet with me at all, not even for five minutes. My family has sent certified letters to both the office in Reno and the office of the management company, and yet they are still contacting me and telling me I owe money. The stuff I listed was just the major things and certainly does not include all the problems I had while living here. My biggest advice: DO NOT sign a lease with wolfrun!
