Indiana’s second-largest city, Fort Wayne is a delightful mix of metropolitan amenities and small-town quirks. The cultural scene in Fort Wayne is thriving, with exceptional performances at the Embassy Theatre, extensive exhibits at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and the many offerings of the renowned Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.
Fort Wayne brings the community together for a bevy of special events, including BuskerFest, Johnny Appleseed Festival, and the Three Rivers Festival. Fort Wayne residents also congregate for a variety of athletic events, but especially for Tin Caps home games at Parkview Field.
Ample green space, trails, and parkland provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in Fort Wayne in addition to the Maumee, Saint Marys, and Saint Joseph Rivers, which all converge in the city.

Property Ratings at Wood Creek Apartments
As a girl in her 20’s living alone this apartment was perfect for me. I never felt unsafe here and everyone is good at minding their own business. Maintenance responds quickly to any issues. The only thing I will say is when I applied I applied to a unit whose description stated washer and dryer but it’s not in unit it is in a small laundry mat type building by the leasing office. Also, your base rent is what is listed but they will add water, sewer, and trash to that when they actually bill you monthly. Mine typically was an additional 50-55 dollars a month. You pay electric and gas on your own through NIPSCO and AEP. All things considered this was a perfect apartment for me and I would recommend them to anyone looking for semi affordable but still nice and safe!
Was leased an apartment with central air listed as an amenity, turns out the AC unit was broken, but the apartment had been leased to me anyway. Owner/management promised fro months that the air conditioning would be fixed...the lease term is up in a few weeks and the air conditioner still has not been fixed or replaced, no alternative cooling was provided, and Management stated that 7 other residents were "going through the same thing." I spent the majority of my lease advocating for repair and compensation, with zero results. I was essentially forced to live in apartment without AC. Do not rent here. Apartment also has thin walls, nasty carpet, and dingy walls/cabinets/closets.
If you move here bring a window A/C unit for when these A/C units go out. I've been waiting 2 weeks for someone to fix my A/C unit. Bad part its middle of July and no a/c unit working.
Moved here last year and the everything was great until we renewed our lease. It’s been 4 days now and we still have no ac in 90 degree weather it’s uncomfortable to go to sleep and when I try to get ahold of management they either not in the office or you get the run around very unprofessional. The bathtub started peeling and the maintenance guy came and looked at it and said there was nothing wrong with it until I took a video and showed it to Michael the property manager. They came to try and fix the bathtub but it looked like it was done by immatures. After our lease is up me and my wife will find another place. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
We moved here for a year ...paid on time and for the most expensive apt lvl..we didnt paint..kept our apt very simple and clean for our new baby...yet we were charged over hundreds for them needing to repaint and remodel...we hv pictures of how crazy the charges were for the pictures of our apt when we left....and our Friends next door terminated their lease within months of moving in.. they were fed up with managements ways of dealing with concerns ect....just sending emails reminding ppl to be quiet...neither of us could get ahold of the complaint officer ever...screaming..fighting...smoking where its not allowed ..not good..could hear everything through the walls..it matters what apt cell you get ...loud motorcycles in the parking lot reving at night Very loud base music...maintenance walked in without knocking.. ...management did nothing but make excuses..no apologies...they seemed like they did not care...heat was always going out...i guess it makes sense for the $ payed...but the tricks as we were leaving??..it was a lesson learned for us as a young couple that vague phrases in leases can end up being a lot of trouble...a lot. We had a lawyer look at ours in the end...and we lost a lot of money to them.. because they could literally do whatever they wanted....they demanded alll fees within 20days or sending a collector..that would damage our credit.. and we didnt realize that the lease vagueness in wording could do that..theres a reason this new management has done better than the old for this property ...but its not good honest ways..they wouldnt work with us as the notice we got basically said pay within the 20days or come to an agreement on payment plans.. they just resent the notice and wouldnt talk it out with us.. we were going to pay but to go so long after our lease was up and the next tenant had been living there for a while . To then get a huge damages charge out of the blue...we basically have to tell ourselves its life...and we learned a lesson about leases and hope to help warn others that were naive like us. Cheap apartment with typical cheap apartment issues i guess...and a troublesome lease.
If I could give ZERO starts I would, but since I can't I guess a one star will do. I would NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone. People in this apartment complex are GRUMPY,UNFRIEDLY,AGRRESIVE,UNPLEASANT,UNSYMPATHETIC. SAME with the management team, they're JOKE. They're very unpleasant to deal with it . Instead of fixing a situation and making better for their tenants ,they make it WORSE. They make THREATS AND INSULT YOU and they also try to get the police and knock at your door. They're cowards and its absolutely PATHETIC ha ha .Dog park is DISGUSTING , none ever cleans after their dog so you can't even walk around your apartment without stepping on dog ----, It's repugnant ughhh. The laudry facility is also DISGUSTING. Management team don't hire anyone or clean the facility themselves so it's always gross and if you even attempted to do your laundry on those NASTY washers and dryers your clothes will get RUINED and it will ruin your day trust me.The WORSE part there's a lot of thief's and crimes in this awful complex. Do yourself a FAVOR and take your hardworking money somewhere else that is worth it.They're so many other amazing low price apartments complex in the are that 100 times better then this garbage place.
The property manager doesn't take care of the property. She micro manages everything leaving other things to be neglected. The pool still isn't open. Dog poop and cigarette butts all over the property grounds. The dog park is nasty and doesn't lock. Restricted breeds galore - she tells people to say that thier pit bulls are mixed breeds but in the lease it says no mixed breeds of any of restricted breeds. The property manager is more about making herself money versus taking care of her residents. Then you got ADA Violations pending with several agencies for failure to accomendate, discrimination, and retaliation. The property manager uses the police officer that lives on site to harass residents. So before you look at Wood Creek there are other options that are more affordable and offer better amenities.
They need to hire more maintenance workers. Things are rarely fixed and when they are you have to really hassle them to see you.
Property Manager at Wood Creek Apartments, Responded To This Review
At Wood Creek we strive to make our residents happy and respond in a timely manner. We do however need to prioritize our work and there are times that some residents do have to wait longer than we like to take care of their requests.
I have lived here for 3 months now, and I have been surprised at how quiet it is for an apartment complex. The neighbors are great, really friendly. The dog park is a lot of fun for our dog, gives her plenty of space to stretch her legs. The pool is so nice and relaxing! The people that work here are real friendly and helpful. It's one of the best places I have ever lived.
Wood Creek Apartments is a great deal in a great location. The office staff consists of two people who take the time to get to know you and always make you feel welcome. The maintenance staff are quick, efficient and equally as friendly. I have been here three months and just needed a couple minor things completed after the beautiful remodel of my apartment and they were quick and friendly. I love the remodel of the apartments and the amenities included. The property is beautiful and quiet.
Woodcreek is a really nice place to live it's extremely quiet. The staff is really friendly and you can approach anyone of them. they ask for ideas from there residence which I think is really great it makes you feel like your all family here at Woodcreek I would recommend woodcreek to anyone looking for a. Quiet relaxed and very well priced place to live. I have. Enjoyed my time here and will continue to stay here.
The atmosphere around the whole community is great. Maintenance men are quick and they get the job done. They have great accommodations just besides the beautiful apartments. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. It's like everyone looks out for each other here. Great place to live and I recommend anyone to stay here since they welcome dogs/cats.
I have been living at Wood Creek Apartments for over two years now. I like how quiet it is. I am currently a college student with a very tight budget, but the rent here is affordable, and it's super quiet. I like the versatility that it's near everything. I would definitely recommend living here.
Wood Creek Apartments is the best value in Fort Wayne. I'm 20 years old and a college student, when I looked for an apartment 4 months ago, I needed something cheap but close to central Fort Wayne. I pay $435/month for my unit, and utilities total less than $80 for me. It's in a quiet residential area but very close to I-469 and less than 10 minutes from IPFW. The location and price are absolutely perfect. The units are very simple. They are not flashy and don't have balcony or patios. However, the low price is totally worth it! The management is small, there are 2 people that work in the office, and 2 maintenance staff. They are all very friendly. I would highly recommend this complex for someone on a budget.
